Homewood Suites by Hilton - Charlottesville

Loved the staff! All go out of their way to make you comfortable. Tim and Virginia in food service were exceptional. My brother has cancer and is staying there. They both were so sweet to make sure our needs were met , kindness and compassion helping others. The staff at this hotel are engaged and very helpful with the needs of the clients. The amenities are great. Outside fireplace is terrific, the seating area in the back is large and spacious with lots of seating! A great area to sit and enjoy peaceful. Hotel has a large heated pool and spa.

The rooms could use freshening, new carpet or flooring would improve the overall appearance. It would be nice to make a bigger area with a garden out front so folks could enjoy the outdoors in the sun in the late afternoon. They do have an area with seating it just is very small and can only accommodate four to five persons

We loved all that Homewood Suites by Hilton -Charlottesville had to offer! The pool, and hot tub were a hit with all of us. I enjoyed working out in the fitness room which was exceptionally clean. There was a half court basketball my boys enjoyed playing on. You don't even need to bring a ball they provide them at the front desk! We really enjoyed the patio area outside and used their grilling area to cook out one night! We loved the atmosphere in general because it drew you together with other hotel guests. The free breakfast in the morning was a bonus! I think a double bonus is their Wednesday social! The room was a hit for us as well. There was ample space for my family of 6. The boys slept well, and so did I! We loved being within walking distance to Whole Foods, and stopped off at Kroger for our grilling night. The staff was very hospitable, and we never had any issues with the kids. We really felt welcomed and everyone was very friendly, and accomadating. We definitely plan on coming back!

Beautiful, well-kept facility that isn't brand new. Clean, comfortable room with a ceiling fan. Nice bed and bedding, good pillows. Nice kitchen and seating area. Easy to schedule housekeeping. Nice towels. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Lots of parking. HH app and digital key, check out.

Coffee in the lobby isn't very good. Big knife in kitchen isn't sharp.

Excellent stay.! The suite was exceptionally clean and felt nearly like being at home. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was awesome. The hotel was close to UVA Hospital and convenient to all kinds of dining establishments & shopping. I personally love the apartment feel of the suites....stay in and eat or eat out. I was also able to work quietly from my "remote office" (desk in the suite). Unlike many hotels, this one had many night staff, so security wasn't an issue. Would definitely recommend staying here, most especially if you have loved ones in the hospital and feel overwhelmed & exhausted. The suite was a wonderful home away from home.

Went to the hotel at 3:00 and my room was not ready but Barbie and Anna did everything they can for me and and my family.

I called in an hour early but was told I can’t but to wait to 3. 3 o’clock came and was still not ready.Finally Barbie and Anna made it happen for us.

Hotel is beautiful especially the common areas and lounge outside. Liked the food specials, one night natchos, another fajitas. Breakfast was fine and plentiful given COVID. Dining area and lounge was beautiful!> We loved being able to go to the pool until 10PM. And we used it. We liked the big suite with fully stocked kitchen. Lots of Amenities!

Did not care for location on the strip (prefer more authentic experience) but it was close to some good restaurants and not far from the center. Wish there was more than two coffee packets in the room.

Staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. The room was great and spacious. Breakfast was an added plus and I was glad to see the COVID restrictions of a bagged breakfast that we experienced at another hotel several months ago, were not in place here. The kitchen staff served you what they were offering on the menu that day (the hot items) and you could stay in the lobby to eat or take it back to your room.

Swimming pool was limited to 10 guests at one time and there was no time limit and it was on a first come first serve basis with no way to sign up. I know having a list would be one more thing for the busy staff to have to deal with so I understand but it was a little frustrating to have to go down to the front desk (or call) and ask if the pool was available. Luckily, we were pretty busy doing other things around the area so when we did get back to the hotel, the kids didn't have to to wait too long for an open spot to go into the pool.

The staff was great. They have a lot of compassion for those that are going through stuff, such as my husband being in the hospital. Doris, Amber, Barbie, Al.....? and the young lady at the reception desk (I am sorry I can't remember her name) were all so kind with their words and actions. It was greatly appreciated.

Room was perfectly appointed with a pull out sofa bed for my son, comfy king bed, door to shower and toilet so could still get to lighted vanity/sink area, kitchen had a stove, full fridge and dishwasher! All interactions with staff were lovely, fast check-in to include free, cold bottled water anytime we wanted it, nice, 24-hour coffee and tea station, beautiful indoor and outdoor common spaces with fireplaces and TVs, they serve you the breakfast so none of this granola bars mess during covid (although they offer a to-go option if you prefer). Hotel was busy and I can see why it is popular. Pool was even open but we did not bring our suits.

I’m a big fan of having a suite, where I can prepare my own coffee and breakfast and relax without facing a buffet in the morning, so Homewood Suites definitely ticks that box.

The coffee machine in the room was really lame, but I’d come prepared with my own stovetop espresso maker. Other than that, all was as advertised.
