Loved everything about our stay here! Conveniently located. The bed was incredibly comfortable(hated to leave thst bed)! Excellent room design, and the breakfast selections, including coffee, were exceptional!(thank you for Quality gluten free options!) All the staff set a bar for hospitality and professionalism. We will definitely be back! Top notch air conditioning. Shower design was a dream. This Holiday Inn exceeded Hiltons, Westins, and other Marriott affiliates we have stayed and paid much more for. (And we stay at a lot of hotels in our travels).

Had a funky smell when checking in, but I believe they were doing some painting - was not overwhelming, and they had the fans on. Did not carry into other areas of hotel just the check in/out area. No waffle maker for my husband, but they had fresh pancakes!! Even better;) I don't like plastic forks, spoons, and knives but understand their convenience.

I've been having to stay in Charlottesville for work training. The bed here at Holiday Inn Express has been the most comfortable. The room was very spacious and breakfast was INCLUDED, this was the first hotel I've had a free breakfast included with my stay in Charlottesville. The staff... VERY FRIENDLY!!!! Everyone said hi or good morning or even excuse me as they passed in the hallway carrying big boxes. Front desk staff was helpful when I'd realized I'd forgotten a few items also. Great staff!!!!!

The bathroom had a very strong smell (as if someone had just had a bowel movement and not flushed). I finally figured out that it was the drain in the floor emitting the odor, so I covered the drain with towels. This helped but there was still a slight odor. The only other thing I noticed was more noise from neighboring rooms. Maybe it was because it was graduation weekend so the hotel was full? Nothing major just more doors shutting and some stomping from upstairs neighbors. Overall very good experience and this would be the hotel I'd return to of the others I've stayed at so far.

The hot breakfast was a great selection and variety so that everyone in our family was pleased and full. The lemon water in the lobby was also a wonderful touch and so refreshing and enjoyed by all. Lastly, the water pressure in the bathroom shower as well as the comfortable beds made our stay incredible. We even checked what type of bed it was so we could purchase for our home.

The phone in our room did not work so we were unable to contact the front lobby and there was one lamp in our room that did not work.

The breakfast was delicious, though scarce at times. It was eventually refilled and we all left full and happy. Location was excellent, very close to 64, restaurants, and grocery stores. The room was very clean and the views were lovely. My kids especially enjoyed the pool.

Breakfast seemed a bit unorganized/slow to be refilled, but tasted very good. Pool was fun but extremely chlorinated to the point that my kids didn't even want to stay in it because it was hurting their eyes so bad.

Remarkably clean. Quiet. Bed super soft, I immediately took a picture of the tag so I could buy one lol. Great location. Traffic sucks in Charlottesville but this location has all you need in walking distance. Great amenities, hot tub, woah, bubbles like nothing I've ever see . Fireplace outside for cold nights.

Elevator doors closed a little drastically and didn't have the thing were it would stop if you got in the way. It would violently slam into you if you weren't paying attention. Not a big deal. Being picky sin e everything was amazing here.

The hotel was more than I expected to see, it was very very nice and refreshing. When I walked inside I was taken away at how beautiful and spacious it was. After going to the room and looking at the view from the window it was breathtaking. The size and layout of the room was carefully thought of, plenty of space. I am considering staying there again while traveling. The breakfast was good also. I like the new way of making pancakes. The location is good I felt safe there.

I highly recommend this place. Location is perfect and away from the hustle and bustle of the university area. Wawa was closed by and is 24hrs open. Hotel looks new and the rooms, bed, toilet and facilities smells and looks clean. Breakfast was plenty from 6-10am. Eggs, sausages, potatoes, gravy and pancakes. Ive been to other hotels and Holiday Inn is by far the best ive been to. Staff were friendly, Tina,who kept the breakfast area tidy and topped up. Plenty of parking as too. Well done!

We liked all aspects of the hotel. Everything was great!

We stayed in room 511, and in the bathroom, there was a knee wall that partitions the toilet from the vanity. I believe it protrudes into the room too far, and it has a marble stone cap that has quite sharp edges. During my stay, I bumped it a few times hard enough to cause myself to bleed. I believe this is a BIG liability issue.

I rarely if ever leave reviews but for the price I must say this hotel was amazing! Everything was super clean and new. The rooms were very spacious, especially the bathroom. The indoor pool was clean and very relaxing with a great scenic view. The people at the front desk were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great. We are planning to stay here again the next time we visit Charlottesville.

Most of staff were exeptional, my room and accomodations were great, and the daily hot breakfast and service was fantastic!

The dining area seating was vert tight and sometimes difficult to navigate. I would have appreciated a daily towel change and notice that our room was only going to be cleaned, towels replaced, and trash emptied only one (1) out of the five nights we were booked, that was a shocker. Suggestion: Would be nice if the hotel had a bar for weekend nights.
