Hilton Garden Inn Charlottesville

The room was a nice size and clean.

Front desk clerk could not find my reservation...she asked me five times if it could be under another last name...I assured her I only had one last name. I gave her a printed copy of my confirmation and she still could not find it...told me the confirmation number would not work. Finally she found it...according to her my first and last name were reversed...not sure if that is their problem or Booking.com..Check out clerk could not print me a receipt, was going to email me one however it never came...seems like a lot of confusion!

This was a good choice for one-night stay in Charlottesville. The room was spacious, light, and clean. There are several restaurants within a short ride from the hotel. The hotel did not offer a complimentary breakfast, but the breakfast buffet was very good (much to choose from and good quality) for its price.

The place is very clean and neat, also very spacious to move around. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I noticed that it has medical assistive devices in room and it make sense since its close to Sentara Hospital.

None, I do not have anything i did not like about this stay. I do recommend this place to many people who are traveling to see sick relatives or friends in Sentara. Overall i dont have anything less to say about this place, highly recommend this to any traveler.

Breakfast was great- many choices and even though you had to pay extra for breakfast it was reasonably priced. I especially loved the mixed berries and fresh fruit.

My view through the window was disappointing- it was a flat roof with an air conditioner on it. Other guests we spoke to had a view of the pond.

Breakfast not included & didn’t eat there. Loved the location’s privacy & trails around ponds. Enjoyed the hot tub/pool & the firepit/patio.

Room layout at door, bathroom & refrigerator/coffee station seemed crowded.

Why is breakfast not included? We didn’t eat due to the charge. The beds were comfy. We were happy to have access to showtime to wash a movie

Staff very helpful and super nice especially waitress at breakfast. Property grounds and outside seating fabulous. Location convenient as short drive distances to local attractions.

1 elevator broken all throughout stay.

Checkin was quick, the room was big, bed comfortable, shower nice. Breakfast was delicious though not included. Good location - very quiet with nice pond to walk around.

The Wi-Fi was cumbersome. I had to call the front desk to get a code & then it kept kicking me out.

Variety of food selections and adequate seating when I was there but later I noticed there was insufficient space for the number of people present. Hostess was friendly.

Lack of privacy - too close to front entrance and tables were too close together. Food quality needs a little improving and food is also overly price.

Had a great stay overall at the hotel - flexible and smooth checkin process, room with a lovely view of a pond, ample outdoor space to eat/hang out (important for COVID risk minimization) helpful front desk staff (answered lots of my Qs, allowed for extended checkout). Location is perfect for downtown Cville and Monticello, nearby wineries.

Breakfast service was a bit disorganized and the front desk was not staffed 24/7. But these are very minor complaints.
