I only spent the night there but I definitely would have spent the week there because the brood size was awesome it looks outdated but it's a throwback to the way things used to be which I kind of liked. But it was definitely comfortable and cozy. Holly at the front desk was very nice and inviting. There was no one there when I got there but there's a sign with a phone number to call and they will come out right away and that's exactly what happened. I get that they are understaffed but it just goes to show the hard work and dedication of the employees to that Motel that they are pulling double duty like that they're not just sitting on their butt collecting a paycheck and acting like they don't care about the hotel. Great job, Holly! Thank you for all you do!

only thing was I could have been told that the heating unit was also the air conditioner because I assumed it was the thermostat on the wall so when I woke up in the morning it was freezing in the room

Knob Hill Motor Lodge is a place that I stay continuously in my travels. If you want a clean, comfortable and quiet location this is the place to go. Your parking space is conveniently numbered and reserved to your room number in front of door to your room for easy access. Best customer service ever, where have you ever stayed where the person at the front desk walks you to your room opens the door for you, let's you in and sees that the room meets your approval before leaving you to your stay? Ever stay somewhere where you're looking forward to a hot shower after a day on the road and you turn the shower on only to get a luke warm dribble of water coming out of the shower head? Not here this location has the best water pressure and hottest shower of anywhere I've ever stayed over the years. Also convenient located in close proximity to shopping, Walmart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree to name a few. Restaurants many fast food locations near by also Shoney's a Chinese buffet, Pizza Hut and many others. Always a pleasure staying at Knob Hill Motor Lodge.

We were having trouble finding something open late, and they had a good price, so we were sceptical as it was a motel. But the room was clean, smelled great, the king sized bed was VERY comfortable, it had a small counter and extra sink for food prep, and the other guests were all respectful. The Owners were very nice and helpful. This will be our regular stop from now on.

The staff is very friendly and accomodating. It seems like a true "mom and pop" motel. The rooms are old style including bathroom with separate hot and cold for shower ...but have comfortable beds and everything you could want in a room!

wifi password was hard to find in the room and when found it was wrong. Front desk confused about wifi. cleaning in bath could have been more thorough

No breakfast provided, only coffee, but it was good. Very convenient location for our purposes. Room was basic, but clean. Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious, and convenient for having our own breakfast and snacks.

Grounds could be cleaner. Very little availability or contact with management. AC equipment could use updating.

I did not have breakfast there, but the location was lovely. This motel sits atop a very high hill and mountains can be seen all around. Beautiful location. I could tell it was old, but it was so very clean and updated. The bathroom was lovely as was the rest of the room. Should I ever get out that way again, this one will be my "go-to" place. I loved it!

Quaint homey feel. Excellent location. Great price, and outstanding customer service. You can tell that management truly cares for their customers stay and I appreciated all of the personal touches, such as cute homemade curtains in the bathroom!

Lovely front desk lady. Very personable and friendly. Room was really spacious and spotless. I felt very comfortable staying here as a solo traveler. super quiet. Great value. I came back for a 2nd night on my way back north from traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

The room had everything you needed and was clean and comfortable. I never used the Wifi. The access to the room was first floor and there are convenience stores in close proximity.

The rooms are old style, but pleasant for the price. The shower had great water pressure but took getting used to for adjusting temperature.

It was pretty much what I expected. There were no surprises. Check in and out were easy. Location was close to stores and restaurants.

It seemed to me it was an owner operated place. Neither the man or woman ( I assumed husband and wife) , we very personable people. They weren't rude by any means, but also not welcoming.
