Upon arrival in our room we were presented with a freshly made cake and a bottle of fizz to help us celebrate our birthday, with a lovely card wishing us a good stay and a happy birthday. This was a really lovely touch that enhanced our stay. The room itself was really spacious and stylish. The beds were really comfy too. The location is a 6 minute walk to the metro making it ideal, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were really friendly and happy to help with our many questions, even finding a phone charger for us. The bar and restaurant was lovely too, worth while if you go for happy hour.

There needs to be more storage for clothes both hanging and drawers. Also we had to ask for tea making facilities, whilst this wasn't an issue and we were provided with these once we asked, it would have been nice if these were already offered alongside the coffee maker.

- Honestly is the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in - Jonny on the front desk have a warm and friendly welcome and made pleasant chat. He also kindly gave us a room upgrade without us even asking - Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. - Included kitchenette (with plates and cutlery) - Everything in the room felt high quality - Location in a lovely part of Washington, clearly one of the nice areas of the city (which I found to be a really nice city overall)

- expensive parking on site, but there's a local parking garage just off DuPont circle which will let you park for $20 per night

No breakfast. The staff were lovely, the room was always clean and pretty, they had an umbrella and tote bag for you to use. My husband and I needed distilled water for our C-pap machines and they had a jug of it in our room when we arrived. The bed was very comfy. I liked the shampoo. There was quite a bit of noise from the hallway and outside but not very often. Rooms not very sound proof. I liked that the windows opened. Nice fresh air. Only other suggestion: get better pillows. We had three rooms and we all agreed, pillows were substandard. They were full of air and you couldn't get them to support your neck or hold a shape.

The only problem with the room is that only one small window opens for fresh air. This is important for guests with sinus conditions. The beakfast is a tad pricey with limited menu, but they have real espresso and a bar that opens at lunch. Bed is great, shower is OK - European style, no way to keep all the water off the bathroom floor.

Hotel was in the middle of a multi-month air and heating upgrade, that caused loud noises from 8 AM to 5 PM. It was on the other side of the building, but pity those with rooms over there. They hope it will be finished April 2023.

We loved the hotel. The location was wonderful, close to Dupont circle but also close to the more bohemian part of the city (Adams Morgan). The rooms are beautifully decorated, roomy, clean and luminous.

Parking was quite expensive. Other than that, there was nothing we did not like.

We decided to upgrade to a larger room on arrival at an extra cost as the original was a little 'cosy' for a longer stay. The bed as always, extremely comfortable, with lots of pillows and great linens. The kitchenette was value in my opinion, we requested a microwave. The bar still providing great cocktails and bar menu. Lots of working spaces on lower ground floor which we made use of. The location of the hotel is ideal and many great restaurants and bars are walkable. Staff still top notch.

The hotel used to offer complimentary tea and coffee in the bar area in the mornings, they no longer do so. We ordered room service once, it took 90 minutes and two phone calls to arrive.

Really nice boutique hotel. Easy walk to DuPont. A nice stroll to Whitehouse. Very clean. Super comfortable beds. Good restaurant. Really liked it.

I don’t care for the half shower door. Every hotel that has these ends up with flooded floors. Also I really HATE solo dispensers in the shower. More often than not they don’t work and have to try and flight them to release them from their housings, unscrew the top and get to the soap-as happened in this bathroom. The soap itself was in glass bottles which given that these contraptions have a tendency to not work, is a huge safety issue if I would have dropped the bottle. I know this sounds like a rant, but really let’s go back to mini personal bottles of soap, shampoo etc.

Room was very nice. Clean, looked nice, bed was very comfortable and the sofa was a nice addition. Location was good. Not super close to the museums but close enough (about a 30 min walk) and was a nicer location for relaxing in the evenings, as there were lots of good restaurants close by and probably more lively than staying by the main attractions. About a 10 minute walk to the red line on the metro, which was very convenient for getting to Union Station. Also really enjoyed that there was a gym, but was a little annoying that the bike was a Peloton so you needed a subscription to use.

As some of the other reviews pointed out, there could have been more shelving to put things in the bathroom, but wasn't a deal breaker. Communication from the hotel was a little confusing, with emails about fees about a month before arriving. But staff at reception were all very friendly and accommodating.

The room was very comfortable! Super nice beds, great bathroom, nicely sized. I also thought the restaurant downstairs was great, even though pretty pricey. Excellent location.

The staff did a weird thing where they refused to print a receipt for me when I checked out, saying Booking.com was responsible for that - on booking it asked me to ask the property for a receipt. In the end, after a fight at checkout and several emails, they ended up emailing me one. It just seemed like a weird thing to make a fuss over and it's NEVER happened to me with any other property I have ever booked using this platform. I was travelling for business so a receipt was very important for me. I don't know, just a really odd experience that really stuck with me.

Everything was exceptional. The room was very bright and beautiful, the beds were super comfy, the breakfast was extremely delicious. The location is perfect! The street was very quiet, so we slept with our windows open. It's the first time I have been very happy with my hotel choice, and can't wait to be back again! They even let me check in early (at 11 am) with no issue. Highly recommend choosing this hotel when travelling to Washington, DC.

The ONLY issue we noticed is that the staff at the restaurant was sooo slow. We had to wait for someone to look at us for about 10-15 mins. It took 30mins to get us breakfast and coffee. This part was quite annoying, however, the rest of our experience with the hotel was impeccable. Hopefully, it can be improved in the future.
