The great location on the road leading to the White House made it very convenient for sightseeing. The room was impressively clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant and comfortable stay, while the flexible check-in process added to the overall convenience of the experience.

The only drawback was the limited parking availability, with the nearby parking garage being quite expensive; however, the hotel was upfront and transparent about this issue. Despite the parking inconvenience, the rest of the hotel experience was satisfactory, making it a worthwhile stay.

Clean, plenty of heat from the room heater, snacks and coffee available in the lobby. Friendly staff when they were present. Comfortable bed.

Freezing hallways. Ran out of bottled water for a day. I asked for fresh towels, in an email and chat, two days before I checked out. I asked twice. I never received fresh towels before I left. Luckily I saved one bath towel to reuse for my checkout day shower The young caretaker told me she had been off for two days. But it wasn't her fault. The messages I received said they got my messages and that the towels would be refreshed by someone. Later I learned there were fresh towels in a cupboard in the lobby bathroom. It would have been helpful it there was a notice in the room telling me where to get fresh towels if needed.

The hotel is old, but clean and maintained. Fridges in the basement and the first floor allow for food storing. The location is off the center (bus services are unreliable, but cheap walking works too), but the area itself is really nice. Very good restaurants in the area.

There was no place to hang the towels in the bathroom and the bathroom door was broken. The house is very loud, you get earplugs for free.

The digital-first approach was really attractive. You can tell that they know what travelers need in 2022: eg ample outlets, USB and Ethernet ports, easy and secure luggage storage. There’s also no need to talk to anyone for check-in or check-out, but support is still easy to reach and immediately helpful. All information and notices are provided by email and text.

A water shutdown was announced in advance for plumbing works. Unfortunately, the water was cut earlier than the announced time, which meant I couldn’t finish my shower. We received a fair partial refund for this issue, though.

Super small but cosy room. Good location and easy check in and check out with no problems even tho no reception was there.

The shower and toilet was in the same place and there were no shower curtains, nothing. So when showering the water was splashing everywhere. The tv remote was not working, and it is not tragical because we do not come to watch tv. However on a rainy day when we had to stay in, it was a problem for us to use tv.

The location is GREAT! The rooms are great and the bed was one of the most comfortables I’ve had in my stays, very warm and soft.

Although you can grab groceries and food at a walking distance, it would have been great if the place had a vending machine or something. Also, it’s a little bit pricey for what you get (the rooms are very nice but it’s not a hotel).

Good location and easy to find. the beds were very comfortable, air conditioning worked well, rest rooms were fine. good to be able to stream tv shows on the tv.

Initial issues with operating the TV, some of the shower amenities were not working perfectly initially, some minor patchwork needed on the restroom floor.

- Very quiet to the point of being spooky. Rarely run into people - Room was a bit dark. Not enough lamps - Quite some walking distance from the closest subway station (DuPont Circle) so think carefully if you have cumbersome luggage

i liked the location and the cleanliness. i liked the free snacks in the lobby. there was good water pressure.

The rooms were a little small. The entrance was not ADA-friendly. There was no staff there to help for emergencies. there is no parking close by. all parking is expensive and far.

Very nice location and they provide some recommendations for eating in the app. Downside, i do not want to have to download an app. The luggage room with lockers was most welcome.

Sometimes the cups for tea were out in the lobby
