The LINE Hotel DC

Darryl at the front desk made me feel instantly welcome. I knew if I had any questions, problems or additional requests, I would feel comfortable asking Darryl. I appreciate the diversity of the front end staff and restaurant folks. The hotel was more an experience, than simply logging. I had meetings in the lobby, which felt like a cozy, hip lounge. My room had a view of the Washington Monument and Capitol Dome. It was clean as could be. Great bedding! (super important). I even took note of the sheets/pillow brand as a future purchase for my home. I was in town for 4 days and ate most of my meals as in-room dining. The food was amazing!

A unique hotel in Adams Morgan, an area of wonderful restaurants and entertainment. Rooms are tastefully furnished, bright, and spacious. A really good place to stay. The staff is very good, especially the front desk. Yasmine, who works mornings stood out, helping us when we needed to change rooms.

Nothing wrong except one side of the hotel faces 18th street which has a vibrant nightlife, and the rooms on that side get that outside noise. We asked to be moved to the other side which is much quieter. Yasmine and others helped us get moved and that made the rest of our stay perfect.

Absolutely love this hotel, I'm a repeat visitor, feels like home away from home, without the bland corporate feel of drapes and carpets and cookie cutter design. Excellent location, warm, stylish design, friendly staff.

I'm a repeat visitor. On this occasion there was an issue with the wifi signup which worked fine on the laptop but not so well on the Iphone. It required typing in the actual sign up page on the browser which didn't come up on its own. I had to call the front desk to figure it out and they said there was indeed a problem and provided a web address to type into the browser. This information should be provided upon check in. But even so, the wifi barely ever worked on my iphone. At least it means less time wasted on social media! But the hotel should fix this issue with their provider.

This is my local DC neighborhood hotel. I want to support it all I can, but the atmosphere at the Line has plummeted since the pandemic. Its vibrant Great Gatsby vibe has disappeared and it has a flat WeWork vibe with people on laptops in the post-pandemic era. The restaurant which was the dynamic heart and soul of the hotel barely functioned during the evenings... there were wifi outages... As much as I love it, I would have a hard time recommending it to others wholeheartedly given the glitches and missing soul... I hope management do something to bring it back to former glory.

The room size was good. The bathroom including the shower was great. Room was cleaned daily. Room service was nice. Location was good. I felt safe here.

The bed was very hard and when I called down to guest services to get an extra duvet and pillows and additional towels I mentioned that the bed was very hard (beyond firm) the lady read me the riot act for saying anything about the bed because “wow we only ever hear great things about the beds, no one has ever complained about them” made me feel real bad for wanting to be comfortable.

I liked reception, the room, the design and the location of the hotel. Once a month the spacious rooftop (used for functions otherwise) is opened providing one of the best views over Washington DC. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant and coffee place open to public with great wifi. Location was in our case perfect.

Nothing comes to mind - really

Ambience and service were exceptional. It's amazing to stay at a truly unique hotel in a city that has SO many big box hotels. Location was convenient, accommodations were so luxurious. Staff were incredibly friendly and seemed to actually like working there, and they helped me with a few things while I was sick and had to stay a few extra days while recovering.

Noise isolation is pretty poor in the hotel. My room was on the alley-side of the building, and trash collection came through every night and was super loud. Additionally, I heard other guests being intimate several times, which is always... interesting!

Very friendly supportive staff, nice location, nice view over the capital and a great solution for very short notice. Also provided a complimentary reusable metal water bottle (which I’m still using).

The plug socket arrangement was a tad complicated for the price (one bed had one nearby, the other didn’t). The room didn’t show up on their system when we arrived but the staff were really supportive and rearranged things to make it work (really nicely, and it was an hour notice). Nice fridge but totally rammed with drinks, I assume to add charges for the stay, just wished I could fit some of my leftover late night food in.

Extremely unique and memorable property with a lot of great amenities. They’ve thought of so many details that elevated the experience and made my stay even more enjoyable.

My only complaint is that the hotel put two holds on my AmEx, so shortly after settling into my room I received an alert and had to spend time on the phone sorting that out when I wanted to just relax in my room.

The hotel is very beautiful and well appointed. I am a particular fan of taking historic buildings (in this case, a Christian Science Church) and repurposing in a thougthful way. Decent gym.

The food is at best mediocre and food service very confusing. For such an upscale place, I would have expected much better. I suspect that they´d blame it on the pandemic, but they should´ve figured it out by now.Incoproate some references to the history of the buidling/architecture - there are none. For example, the pews from the church are distributed throughtout the property, but I was only by chance that one of the employees mentioned this to me.
