Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House, an IHG Hotel

The location was great and the amenities were excellent. Spacious room and confortable bed. The complimentary laundry room at the 9th floor is extremely convenient. Overall, excellent quality/price relation.

The location requires some walking, as it's not near a metro station and buses are not abundant. This was not a problem for us, as the main spots we wanted to visit were within walking distance (i.e., less than 2 km).

Very good location, next to the reading market. Walking distance from Chinatown and close to the city centre. The free laundry room is an outstanding amenity when travelling with kids for a long time, but you had to be lucky to find it available as one of the two washing machines was out of order.

Upon arrival, we found out the drain of shower tub drain was clogged, and we were assured by the reception desk they would take care of it; we went out for a walk and returned late at night only to realise nothing was done. We had to remove hair on our own.

Good facilities, clean room, decent breakfast. Great location for walking to all the sites and making use of metro.

Staff could be more friendly. Cleaning staff reprimanded me for wanting to use the bathroom (restroom) in the lobby, even though I explained I can't wait and that the bathroom in my room was in use by my colleague. Johnny Rocket's breakfast staff are a swing and miss. Not very friendly. You feel as if you're a nuisance at times. But what I particularly didn't like was witnessing how the main lady who works there treated fellow guests who couldn't speak English fluently. They were trying to converse in English, I clearly understood what she was trying to say, but it seems the lady from Johnny Rocket's was not interested in trying to understand and just walks off.

This is a bog standard Holiday Inn and what you see is what you get. Location is the selling point with a mile stroll downhill to the sights. Good very safe neighbourhood with busy restaurants, and shopping, at Dupont Circle and on 15th behind the hotel. Breakfast at Johhny Rockets was okay although with little variation day to day but cheaper than local cafes and who wants to trek around first thing just to get a fresher bagel?

We chose an accessible room to get a walk in shower because we are active but with dodgy backs. Our room was in need of a makeover showing its age more than we are. And next to the gym where the sound of a treadmill at 6 am wasn't the best start to our days.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. I liked having two sinks in the room. The air conditioning was good. The fridge was nice and cold. We were given plenty of towels for the bathroom. The pool was nice and relaxing.

I booked a king room and a roll away bed. At check in I was told the bed would not fit. We ended up in double beds. This was not really comfortable. We ate breakfast at Johnny Rockets. The food had very little taste. The parking garage was very tight. Many cars took up two spaces. After the first night we didn’t take our car out because it was too hard to park it when we came back.

Free washing machines! I don't know about you but I love to do laundry while on vacation...keeps me from packing too much. This hotel offered free washers and dryers...just bring your own HE detergent. The included breakfast was at Johnny Rockets. The selection of food was good except for their pastries. But the eggs and pancakes here are better than at most other Holiday Inn breakfasts. There's a self-serve shop in the lobby which has a wide variety of snacks.

The nearest Metro station was about 15 minutes away. Obviously, not the hotel's fault. I should have thought about that before I booked. The ice machines were usually empty. Each day we had to try multiple floors to find ice.

I enjoyed comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast was very good available from 6:30 AM. The staff was friendly and helpfull. The hotel is really close to the White house and city center. Overall good experience.

The rooms was quite noisy both from the street and from the hallway of the hotel. It could have been jetlag, however the morning shift of the hotel at 4AM chatting at the hallway seemed to me like standing next to my head. The same was with noisy cars outside.

Good location but a little far from the metro station( 10 min walking- the closest station McPherson), big room, very comfy bed and pillows( you can choose a soft or a firm one !), very clean, with coffee machine, microwave, iron in the room. Big bathroom ! Very clean ! Good wi-fi ! 1 hour from the Dulles Airport by metro !

Modest breakfast ! No juices ! Fries and sausages, porridge at the breakfast every day ! The rooms have not good isolation and you can hear everything from the hall and other rooms.

The front desk greeting could not have been nicer. (This sets the tone for a pleasant experience : ) On site parking-even for a fee-was a blessing… the room was nice and clean. The location was great. just to reiterate-the check-in set the tone, pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. She acted as if her one purpose was to make this a successful pleasant experience for us! thank you.

it would have been nicer if the ice machines worked. we were able to get some from a few floors away, so not a big deal…. when housekeeping realized we were having trouble getting ice, she went to check on the issue immediately without our even asking 👍

it is centrally located! we took a Lyft everywhere, no ride was more than $13-14. My family and I took in most of the sites and museums. It was clean, staff was friendly. it was quiet too.

parking!!! rented a car our final day there as our plane did not leave until the evening and parking is like $55 per night. we lucked up and found cheaper parking about a block away. Jonny Rockets attached was horrible. They seat you then you wait 45 minutes to just get your order taken. Maybe it’s better now but it was bad during our visit
