Omni Shoreham Hotel

The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, and the staff was excellent. My kids and I especially loved the hostess at the restaurant. She was there at breakfast and was so pleasant and even hugged my kids goodbye on our last day. Pancakes and avocado toast were great. Pool was great too. Kids loved it. We didnt love that valet parking was the only option and that we had to pay for it. Overall, will stay again. It is close to the zoo, minutes from it. And around 10 or so from the white house.

Valet parking for a charge. Wish there was self parking. Otherwise, we dont have complaints. There is no lifeguard at the pool, so keep that in mind with little ones.

It’s a beautiful and elegant property. At check in, they offer a complimentary wine or spirit. I don’t drink, so I was able to get a delicious latte at the cafe instead. The rooms are big and the closet is HUGE! The room was very cleaned and well-maintained. We had a tiny balcony with not the best view, but it was nice to have a little outdoor space. The bathroom was a great size and had plenty of big fluffy white towels and toiletries that were nice quality. The hotel is right down the street from a cvs, chipotle, and the Smithsonian zoo. All the staff was very friendly, from the check-in person to the cafe staff. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the dessert menu looked delicious. The gym had all you needed, and I felt safe with staff checking people in. The pool looked refreshing, but we didn’t go in. It was the type of service and hospitality you always hope to get when going on vacation. I’ll definitely look for Omni hotels in my next travels.

It’s a little far from all the memorials and White House and all the other touristy things, but it was close to the metro and on a bus path, so easy to get where you needed.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and love it tremendously! It has a ton of sentimental value for me and my girlfriend and we try to stay here every time we are in DC

When I booked online through Priceline it said it was pet friendly but did not mention the $150.00 fee That was a little frustrating I also don't recall being told that the hotel charges $100.00 per night for incidentals, That would be nice to know as well I truly appreciate the staff that are willing to take the carts to and from my room but being told that I am not allowed to touch them is a little much, I should have the option

Check in was a breeze. The front desk Kenny and Alaina were very friendly and welcoming. They gave us a good room. The location was great, it was just across the train station. Zoo was close too. Our room was always clean. Pool was clean and beautiful. Garden was breathtaking.

What I really did not like was some front desk, Kitty was not friendly and was not helpful. They have to train some of them. I asked if we could have some bottle of water for our room since it was late and could not buy anywhere else, I was given a straight NO for an answer, saying that they are only allowed to give out 2 bottles of water as a courtesy and we can buy it at their store however their store is close as well. When I tried to ask someone else, Brandon and Renee were very helpful and understanding and gave us some.

The staff made the hotel home for us - Anton, Alton, the mature lady at Morsels who was there most of the time, Roy (spelling ? the concierge) were especially excellent in taking care of us. All the places Roy (tall gentlemen’s) recommended for us were especially great. The property was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food was great. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The area is safe and everything is within walking distance - pharmacy, restaurants, subway.

The locker rooms in the gym need renovating. It’s great to have a sauna down there.

The hotel is on the historic register, so the rooms are much larger than those elsewhere in DC. The location is on the Red line metro and very convenient to downtown and other neighborhoods.

I was here over ten years ago, and some parts of the hotel are slightly worn and could use a refresh. Still, it's a historic hotel built in 1930, so there is some charm in aspects of the property that you don't see in newer hotels. It is spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very accommodating.

Outstanding facility! Beauty everywhere you looked. Very elegant. Staff were friendly & helpful. We had a delicious breakfast at Robert’s Restaurant with our son joining us - Eggs Benedict, Eggs Chesapeake, & Steak & Eggs all wonderful. Room had walk in closest, the most comfortable bed we ever slept in, and a shower you didn’t want to get out of. Everything impeccably clean and beautifully decorated.

Nothing! I did want to note that some of the Booking.com description not correct - no sofa in room, but there was one very nice high backed chair & ottoman. No robe & slippers. You list under “Your Choices” Good breakfast $23. Misleading. You can go into restaurant & order breakfast. Anyone can use restaurant, having nothing to do with the hotel reservation. our breakfast was more than $23 per person. When I checked in, I asked about breakfast & showed them your listing. They had no idea why that would be there.

the smell in the lobby was strong. some people can’t handle perfume smells and it was heavy scented. The first room we were given was either not fully cleaned or somebody had gotten into before we went up there. It had a drinking bottle of water a messed up bed a used washcloth, and a garbage can full of garbage. Front desk gave us a $50 credit for breakfast which we were never able to use do to our schedule. they gave us a new room

Everything about my stay was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and very close to the metro, which made it easy to get around the DC area. Staff were very friendly and always willing to assist in helping to make our vacation most enjoyable. Marianna, in housekeeping, should be commended for her outstanding work ethics and her pleasant and caring personality. She always made sure we had everything we needed. She always took a moment to interact with me and my two teenagers. She is an asset to the hotel. The pool was also amazing! I will most definitely return to Omni Shoreham on my next visit to DC.

I have nothing negative to say about this property.

More attention in the details. Example when we arrive nobody help us with 3 big pieces of luggage. In the first try at 10 pm the keys were programmed 2 times. And in the travel industry the devil is in the details.

Bathroom; restaurant service ; more personal ( personal was very good and they look happy.) but need more service and being a hotel needs more night life. Is magnificent and beutiful hotel. Needs action!
