The Eldon Luxury Suites

Having a full kitchen made it easier to eat healthy (and cheap) during my trip. The close proximity to my office made the morning "commute" of walking 2 blocks incredibly easy.

I needed to extend my stay due to flight delays. When I called to extend my stay, the desk agent told me I'd just need to book an extra night. THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. I managed to book anyway and told the separate desk agent about my having two reservations when I checked in. She was confused but told me that was fine and I wouldn't need to check out then back in to hold my room. The next day I double checked with YET ANOTHER desk agent who had to change my room cards and have me sign for the SECOND reservation to avoid housekeeping removing my things during the day before my next reservation started. Having to go through so many different individuals just to handle an extra night in the hotel was a major hassle!

I like everything except the parking because if you’re gonna park at the parking lot for the hotel, it should be a discounted fee for the weekend that you’re staying or if you’re staying more than three days or two days that it should be discounted

Where I did not like that it should have served more than coffee. It should’ve served like donuts, muffins oatmeal cereal, something

Bar soap was bad, TV small for size of room, chair broken I think,

I booked this hotel last minute because it was close to the convention center. I was only expecting a bed and bathroom, but got surprised to see a whole suite instead. Very classy feel to it. My favorite was definitely the showers that had different settings.

The pillows did not feel great. Some of them felt like bricks while the others had too much air in them. I also would like the AC to be colder especially with this summer season. Lastly while I really enjoyed the showers, it seems the water is seeping past the door and leaking to the floors. I had to use up a lot of towels to dry that up.

The suite I was in (each has a different floor plan) was a single bedroom with living room, kitchen, and bath. The bedroom was proportionally a little small, but that was made up for by the large living room.

The closet racks in the bedroom were inexpensive Walmart grade junk that were falling apart. There wasn't nearly enough room to put my clothing in the closet despite it being quite large because the wire shelving / hanging design was so bad. While the overall design of the suite was nice, the workmanship and materials felt a little cheap, like it was made to be corporate housing. There was absolutely no common space. The bar / coffee area was never open (so much the better when there are excellent options nearby).

The location near the DC Convention Center (and in back of the Marriot Marquis) was ideal for my conference purposes. The unit was extremely clean, and the bed was divine. I did not use the kitchen (no need)...but the extra space was relaxing. I loved all the closet space. Bed gets a AAAAA++++ Pillows were not "too" thick... (I prefer feather, but almost no hotels offer them anymore...) If I come back and stay a week, would be nice to have more flatware. But kitchen was lovely. Island very functional--I used it to work and sort out all the stuff I had in my briefcase.

Figuring out how to get TV working took me about 20 minutes. I do not have Direct TV at home, so using the remote was not intuitive. But once I got CNN on, I was happy (to see King Charles crowned and to see the news). Would love a "streaming" option. Wish property managers would add a few more TABLE lamps to the main living area to make it cozier. The overhead LCD lights are great if you are trying to work--but they do create a "work-office" ambience--not a relaxing "at home" ambience. Maybe a table lamp on the side table next to the sofa, and a dimmable pillar torchiere floor lamp?? There are no outlets to plug my phone into next to the bed.

The suite was spacious, very well laid out & everything was efficient. It was also comfortable, super clean --- And gorgeous! All Eldon staff members were welcoming, friendly & very helpful. My check-in was particularly smooth & stress-free, thanks to Patrick! I also want to thank Rachel for her all her assistance & fun conversations, too --- She went *that extra mile* & I want to acknowledge that!

No complaints whatsoever --- My suite met all my expectations & my experience there was superb! You won't be disappointed if you book your stay here ...

Comfortable and large suite with a nice bedroom and an open kitchen living room area (with a fully stocked kitchen). There is a center island for eating and also a living room area with a TV. The hotel is located close to the Washington DC Convention Center Our flight got cancelled and we only learned that at the airport. When we called the hotel to ask if we could come back and stay an additional night, the hotel staff made sure that we got the same room back and we could check back in immediately.
