Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Downtown

The hotel location is perfect. The White House is in 10-min walking distance, metro station to both Reagan and Dulles airports are on the other side of the street. Breakfast selection is good and staff is friendly.

The view from the room was awful, we saw the other building's wall and it was very noisy because the outside elements of the AC run whole day. The AC in the room was very loud so we rather not turned it on when sleeping - it was sweaty. One lady in the breakfast staff was friendly but if you do not add tip over the pre-paid voucher, she comes back to complain, which I have never experienced in other hotels.

All of the staff were extremely helpful and prompt in taking care of all issue. Christian at the front desk made sure that we had a room that would accomodate our need for a fully accessible room. When we arrived Neville quickly got our luggage loaded into the hotel and got our car parked. Nippon made sure our large group of 13 was well taken care of in the dining room all week. Our car was at the front door in under 5 minutes when we were ready to leave. Hotel is very close to the Metro and easy walking distance to many popular sites. I've already passed on the information about the hotel to a friend planning a trip to DC this spring.

The hotel is in a great location, next to Metro station, close to local attractions. Room is spacious, comfortable, and well equiped (large-enough safe, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table, enough electric plugs). Breakfast is very good (home-made omellets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toasts, various fresh fruits, muffins, etc.).

Asking for higher flow is in many cases useless as you may get a room with view to a wall. Shower is not very good, very weak stream. A/C is also quite bad, noisy with strong wind, hard to control.

All the staff we dealt with were very courteous and helpful. We asked for some special accommodations because of early and late flights in and out of DC. They gave us options and we picked the best one for us. IE we got to the hotel at 1pm. Too early for check in usually. Having got up at 3 am to catch our flight, I had sent a message ahead asking for early check in. When we got there they had one room ready but it was facing the back alley. We could have that or wait for a street facing room. My family decided to take the room that was ready and I'm so glad we did. It actually was very quiet and whereas I didn't have a great view, a street view room would have had more traffic noise and you are still looking at office buildings. The options for breakfast every morning were great. The hotel made obvious efforts to keep the hotel and guests coming and going safe. The location was great for using the Metro and getting to and from the tourist areas. Thank you to all for a great stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to DC.

Perfect location for city walks, very good organized and convenient parking, welcoming and polite reception staff.

We were on 13th floor - you can always smell the weed even in the bathroom. That was inevitable during our 3 days stay and that was really unpleasant. Another frustrating thing was the tipping at breakfast - we were nagged to pay tips by the waiters, although it was self service. First day we complained to the manager, he said it won’t happen again and the next day we received the same insisting request, we couldn’t finish the breakfast in peace, as the waitress was constantly reminding us to sign for a tip and we left the restaurant truly sad from this attitude. I wouldn’t book Hilton Garden again.

The location was very convenient. It was a short walk to visit the White House, and the metro station was directly across the street for easy travel to other destinations. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed that we were able to have queen size beds rather than double beds.

We did have an issue with a leak in our bathroom shower coming from a few floors above us. The maintenance engineer was quick to respond and fix the issue. And while they were unable to move us due to no availability, we were given complimentary breakfast. The issue was solved and did not affect the rest of our stay.

Short $13 ride from Union Station. Quite room overlooking the front of the hotel. Good bar, and we ate in the hotel restaurant both days. We even cancelled our reservation elsewhere to go back the second night. Good choice on the dinner menu. Our package included breakfast, too. PS: TONYA and SCOTT on Reception both deserve high praise for being so helpful in terms of assisting us with travel data. Our evening waitress IVY, was charming, efficient, and polite, a credit to your Hotel.

We liked the modern decor. We chose the facility as it had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room as we were there for 8 nights.

The pillows were horrible. Very uncomfortable. No substance at all. Our bathroom sink was clogged and we had someone come to fix it. One of our towels was threadbare with holes. I mentioned this to the front desk. There were no extra blankets in the room, just the cover sheet and comforter. Just two drawers in the room, which was not enough for an 8 night stay.

The location was great. There is a Starbucks across the street and I was able to walk to several restaurants and to the White House. The staff was great and my room was clean. The food in the restaurant was good.

The pool room was cold not humid like most indoor pools and the pool water was even colder. We ate the breakfast one morning, but I was expecting a little more options since it cost 10$ a kid and $15 adult. It was nothing more than your standard complimentary breakfast you might get at other hotels. It would have been nice if they would have options to order different items off a menu.

It was clean, fresh and very close to everything.

The fact that they advertise that there is parking but don’t mention that it is Valet only and costs $56 (with tax) for the one night. Just include it in the price so that there is more transparency.
