Great location right on the Columbia River with the walking/cycling path right out the door, plus view of impressive bridge spanning the river. My room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, and located on the first floor near the external door, which was convenient since I was traveling with my dog. Breakfast was served up on the fourth floor in a room with lots of large view windows -- a nice treat -- with a substantial spread of choices including cut fruit that went beyond just a basket of apples and oranges, and tasty coffee. Disappointed to see so much throwaway serveware, though; would like to see more environmental consciousness.

The only real downside was the property's very dated atmosphere. It felt like I was in a time warp from 1988. While the property was very clean and seemed to be pretty well-maintained, and the bed and pillows were comfortable, the decor and appointments seemed not to have been updated in decades. With a facelift, this place could easily become the best place to stay in the Tri-Cities. But if that would mean bolstering the price significantly, then I'm happy to prioritize cleanliness and location over an outdated appearance.

Loved the location ! Its a unigue location with views of bridge & 2 big rivers. Watching the boats was fun. A few steps to full sunset views near the lighthouse. Comfortable room in locally owned older property. Breakfast was nice, many choices and everything was kept fresh during service hours. The girls serving eggs, sausage & bacon were super helpful & friendly. Didnt use pool or hot tub both looked nice. Appreciated the luggage carts. Did not have dinner on site. . My expectations were low based on a bunch of crummy reviews, I was pleasantly happy with my stay. As a very frequent traveler this is a compliment!

Carpet on 3rd floor hall needs replaced. Had some order near the end closer to elevators. Everything else was fine. I almost didnt book as prices were high due to demand based on reviews the property soinded very run down. I wanted the location & Im glad I gave it a chance. I would skip river view cost. I booked & had a window over river, but it wasnt the highlight of my stay. Its 1 window over the wall hvac unit.

This is the real deal for a quality, locally owned, family feel, extremely friendly experience. Nothing about the property has been updated in quite a long time and it is like a blast from a kinder, friendlier past. Not fancy, just extremely clean, extremely comfortable, top notch customer service. Lovely, comfortable beds and pillows and good coffee in the room, with a view of the river. I lingered in bed with a book and coffee for a couple hours. Community music events hosted on the grounds. When I asked for the airport shuttle, the general manager drove me himself and told me the history of the place. The prices are kept purposely reasonable which is a breath of fresh air in this day and age. I love this place.

The door to the room did want for some minor repairs - a little hard to use the dead bolt, and a bit of a gap on one side.

The staff! Bodana was helpful and always had a smile. Zach was very nice and made sure everything was handled. The location for me was perfect! A short drive to where I needed to go on either side of the bridge. Right on the river made it even more pleasant and the sunsets were breathtaking!

The only things I could recommend to improve the property would be to continue updating the rooms. The hot tub could be hotter and a few times I wanted to use the sauna it took way to long to warm up and ran out of time. Maybe it is too costly to keep the sauna warm?

Great location! Excellent customer service from front desk staff, housekeeping and morning breakfast staff! Highly recommend Hotel! We definitely will visit again!

Waitress at Crow's Nest restaurant inside Hotel needs to work on attitude, showed overwhelming anxiety with only 8 customers. Heard her complaining to other staff members in kitchen that " everyone always has to come at the same time, doesn't it figure". It was only 2pm, can't imagine the dinner rush!!! Will visit hotel, most definitely again but will not visit the restaurant.

The only thing I was disappointed in was my breakfast. I was given a coupon for Fred breakfast. I went to the room for breakfast …but found I could not take any food back to my room ;which was strange since I was able to take my dinner to my room). I was not feeling good and did not want to sit among a bunch of people I did not know. Do I did not eat breakfast.

Great staff, great food served in an onsite restaurant, fantastic breakfast buffet, amazing view of the river and cable bridge. Walking trail with sculptures and a light house. Wild flowers along shoreline in full bloom

Nice and enjoyable until Saturday night. Hotel Has event room that was rented out for an event. Loud music and event guests were loud, running up and down hallways. Music in event room was so loud that dining in the restaurant was difficult and the floor of my room was vibrating.

Bodanna is so nice and friendly when checking in. The sunsets are amazing. The breakfast is decent but I did prefer when they were cooking eggs to order. The location is perfect especially for where I need to go while working the area.

I think things will improve as all floors are updates. There are a lot of bugs outside most likely because of the proximity of the river and this leads to the window area and screens to be fairly covered in bugs and webs. I quick power wash would make a huge difference.

This was our 2nd year coming over from the West side of Washington for a long weekend getaway! We were wondering if our 2nd visit was going to be a great as our first. And Clover Island Inn did not disappoint. The accommodations were excellent! We had to bring our dog this time and the room we had was perfect. You would never know animals stay in those rooms because they are so clean and no odors. The pool was cool, clean and refreshing. We didn't use the hot tub, it was 100+ degrees out! We love the setting of the pool on the river :) The breakfast was wonderful and a good variety, especially the bacon :) They have the best bacon!!! And all the staff we're fabulous too! Friendly and they appear to be HAPPY with their employer and jobs. This is a very welcoming place to go for any reason! The location is close to other amenities like shopping, restaurants, parks and sightseeing! We say we found our "Hidden Gem" for a few needed days of R&R! We will be back! Hats off and Thank you!

No comments, everything was great:)

I've been visiting this hotel for many many years. I have tried other, I guess you would say "upscale", hotels and lodges in Richland and Kennewick over the years, but I feel comfortable at clover Island. The river flows right past the back of the hotel, with a quiet dock I can walk out onto to watch the sunsets, and there isn't the noise and boat traffic like other, more expensive, hotels next to the river. The pool offers a place to lounge in the sun and enjoy quick dips to cool off. I also enjoy the view of the cable bridge at night. The crows nest restaurant is on the top floor, offering decent food conveniently, and there are two other restaurants next door to offer variety. The rooms may be a little dated, but they are clean, and the beds are comfortable. I know that it's not close to other conveniences, such as shopping, and I know it's a little removed from the center of town for any of the Tri cities, but it's not a long drive and it's only a few minutes away from the Columbia park. I actually appreciate that it's a bit removed from the hustle and bustle, it ensures that it's quieter, which creates a sense of a vacation, even while there for business. This visit, I was lucky enough to have a room that was next to the exercise room, so I enjoyed a very quiet stay. Even if it's a few dollars more expensive, get a room with the river view. You won't regret it.

Like I mentioned, the facilities are a bit dated. But if they were to remodel it would force the cost of staying there to be much much higher. Currently it is much more affordable that any other hotel next to the river, with an actual outdoor pool.
