Richland Riverfront Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff members were all friendly, helpful, cheerful, and generally pleasant to be around. There was ample handicapped parking close to the room.

Having a light, preferably bright one attached to the switch by the room door would have been helpful. Walking into a strange, dark room isn’t pleasant. Because the staff can’t enter the rooms until the guests check out because of Covid precautions, placing large trash receptacles in the outside corridors. I had a four-day stay and accumulated a grocery-size bag of trash. I had no way to dispose of it.

The moment you enter the doors it felt welcoming. in the lobby I noticed they have a great snack selection, fun cruiser bikes for customers to use, lots of space for your party in the front. The parking area is huge, if you can’t find a place to park you’re in the wrong lot! The staff is friendly, and helpful. My room was clean and spacious. Bonus free breakfast yay!

They don’t have usb ports, I’m glad I brought my box to plug in and charge my phone.

It looked up to date and nice.

They did not have housekeepers so when we arrived at 10:30pm our room was not ready, the front desk girl did a really good job and could tell she has been working hard. The General manager on the other hand was horribly rude to the front desk girl. She was yelling at her on the phone and at one point approached her was screaming at her then got in her car and peeled out. Then about 20 minutes later came flying in to the parking lot again. We had been traveling and have a 4 year old and were very tired. I understand its hard to find people to work but staying patient with one another and willing to help is your best option especially when everyone is working hard to get things done.

I have stayed at this motel for years when it was a Shiloh Inn, and watched it decline with lack of maintenence. The new owners have vastly improved this property, all room furnishings are new, and the riverfront location is premium. The restaurant has even reopened. The pool and hottub now are also operating and clean.

The property was excellent!! Easy access to the room and the facilities (restaurant and bar, market, pool, et.al)!! The staff members were excellent as well! They called me by my first name, were friendly and made sure whatever I needed I received!

There was nothing that I disliked

The lady who handled the complaint was very compassionate and understanding to the circumstances for both calls I made. She dealt with it in the most perfessional way and care. I know it was not the hotels fault for the way people handel themselves but apperciate the prompt response and follow up.

The people who stayed in room 231 which is right next to me caused more than a few problems during my stay and even after being warned by the office staff from my first phone call they continued until after midnight and after the second phone call.

I loved the river front view and the walking trail so close

Front desk personnel were top notch.

The gentleman working the counter was very friendly, accommodated my check in at such a weird hour of the night. Was also very helpful & went out of his way to get me extra sheets I requested. We will be staying there again next week when we visit again

All was awesome!

The staff was so friendly despite being under staffed and they worked so hard to accommodate us. Jamie at the front desk was so sweet even though she was checking everyone in and answering phones at the same time by herself. She gave everyone her full attention at the desk and on the phone and maintained her composure very well. The housekeeping staff was working double time but were friendly and efficient. We’ll definitely stay there again!
