Fairfield Inn by Marriott Morgantown

Nice size room that splits into two rooms. The bathrooms were nice, clean, and updated. They provided shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in the showers. Not the little bottles, but the regular sizes that is attached to the shower. Very nice and convenient.

They need a digital key for your phone. I wished they had two queen size beds instead of a king and a pull-out bed. They need more USB charging ports for phones and laptops. The internet didn't work at all. My family couldn't connect? Its said it did, but you couldn't pull anything up. The pool was small and very crowded. Wouldn't think of getting in it.

It was very good to excellent as rated and as advertised.

The breakfast is horrible. It was mostly maintained except coffee counter was depleted of coffee and not organized for efficiency for the number of patrons Back to breakfast just need more breakfast sandwich choices, reduce the unhealthy options.

The room was comfortable, the entertainment in the room was very nice, and the staff were incredibly friendly and did a very good job of keeping the hotel clean. The hotel is also on a hill with an incredible view and there is plenty of good restaurants to eat at nearby.

Breakfast was very decent. Choice of small cheese omelets or sausage and warm oatmeal with nuts etc, with plentiful cold foods like cereal, oranges, 3 yogurt types, toast, muffins, etc. The hotel is on a commanding hilltop so AWESOME views of north Morgantown valley. There is a Cracker Barrel at the far end of the parking lot, LoneStar Steak and others down the hilll and every store imaginable up the hill (Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc etc). The location is great and a short downhill and across a bridge to Morgantown. Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater is easily accessible drive (easy road from Frostburg PA has a landsilde (7/21). The room is large and super clean and new. Staff is super nice and small indoor pool is like room temp but not crowded. Outside landscape is full of birds and trees and views of the valley. NICE STAY!

There is NO WIFI working. My wife's cell wifi did not open at all. My IPAD wifi opened but the first page froze forever so useless. So if you want wifi, then do not pay up the extra money for it here.

The pool was small but we had it to ourselves. The room was spacious. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water.

While our room was clean we never received housekeeping. I think this maybe due to Covid. I wished they would have at least ask about trash service. I finally just asked a housekeeper if we could just sit our trash out. The one I spoke to said we could, but she didn’t seem happy about it. Since she didn’t offer an alternative, we bagged it up and sit it in the hall.

The breakfast was all set up by 7AM. In many places we've stayed the breakfast is just being setup at the opening time. I do think weekend travelers would appreciated a 6AM breakfast time, the same as weekday, since we need to get back on the road.

I'd be hard pressed to think of anything I didn't like.

Friendly staff. Answered all questions happily and offered any assistance. My sister and niece meet half way when my sister's twin grandsons go to TN for a few weeks every summer. I gave them the name, address, and number for them to stay if it's a good meeting place for all this summer.

I don't know if it was a blower or something in the electrical room that was right next to mine but the noise was loud all night. There was nothing that the staff could do so I didn't say anything. It was just the location of the room that was available. Would be nice to have a list of local places to eat with phone numbers in the room.

We were given a Handicapped Room. I did like having the grab bars in the bathroom although we aren't handicapped, but they nice to have. Breakfast was great. The gentleman that was working the breakfast was very efficient and friendly.

The guy for breakfast Saturday morning was rude and not friendly. He placed eggs and sausage out on plates and they were cold! There was no welcome package in the room or channel guide for the TV. Also there was someone's swimming suit and towel in one of the drawers. SO, was our room Sanitized like it should be with covid?? Didn't use the pool due to all the chlorine. Was afraid it would ruin my daughter's new swimming suit.

Staff friendly, nice room size, good location.

Room had mold on shower curtain and air conditioner vent. We cleaned it. The freezer had ice build up. One of beds had no mattress pad. I understand short staff and covid but these things should have been done prior to arrival. We use Fairfield alot. They have been my first choice.
