Breakfast needed a bit of help. Day one of our stay had the biscuits and gravy...biscuits were so hard they couldn't be cut or chewed. Day two of our stay, we ate around 6 am, omelets were cold as were the hash browns. Coffee at 5:30 am was almost cold. I think something could be done to fix these issues. Had food been warm, I am pretty sure it would have been good.

Well, while we were there, the dining area apparently had been rented out for a function the second night of our stay. Walking through that area was seriously uncomfortable. Would have been a great idea to have staff let their guests know there was something going on before we all "found out" the hard way. I really didn't appreciate being stared at as we went through the lobby. Made to feel like we were intruding and overheard a comment from one person who was attending that "they should have told them to use a different exit instead of parading through here". I thought that was very distasteful and made us feel VERY unwelcome...didn't expect treatment like that for the amount we paid to stay there.

We rarely have to bring our family dog on a trip, but when we do we always have to pay extra. Our dog isn’t allowed on furniture and is well behaved. It was so nice to save on the pocket book while having her with us. The free breakfast was also a game changer. Eating out as a family is so expensive these days and breakfast is a meal that is inexpensive to make yet can easily cost a family of four over $40. The room size was wonderful! Having teenagers that argue constantly, it was nice not to be on top of each other. The free beverages was also an added bonus.

I really can’t think of anything that I didn’t like other than I was battling a cough and didn’t have anywhere to go so I wasn’t keeping everybody else up. Not much that Gundersen can do about that!

Very clean and well maintained; excellent selection for breakfasts; appreciated the complimentary pop and coffee all day/night. Very quiet atmosphere; didn't hear other guests at all.

I stayed for 4 nights, so it would have been nice to have the room freshened/trash emptied/coffee replenished, etc. at least once during my stay - maybe after two or three nights. Also, the signage by the guest washer and dryer should state that only coins are accepted, not a "laundry card."

I had an issue with my credit card being charged twice. I brought it to their attention and immediately without question they fixed it. Before we checked out, I had asked about when they I would see the error fixed. They told me if I did not see it fixed by Monday to call them. They were very professional and very understanding.

Nothing the hotel could really do about the parking for the event we were at down the street. But maybe a shuttle in that area, making it a little easier for out of towners to get around. But there wasn’t anything we didn’t like at the hotel

1. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and there are many choices. My favorite is the omelet which is the best I've ever had. 2. The hotel is very new and everything is clean. 3. The only hotel I've visited so far that doesn't charge extra for dogs

1. The staff doesn't seem to check the room facilities very often. We changed rooms once, because the sink couldn't drain, the front desk asked us to change rooms directly. However, at that time, I had completely disinfected the room with half a pack of disinfecting wipes... So, I disinfected two rooms this night... 2. For two adults with a 3-year-old child, I asked to change to a double room but was rejected. My child fell out of bed at night... 3. The water temperature of the Warm Water Pool is cooler than the Aquatic Center. 4. The decoration of the hotel is very simple, but all the hardware accessories are sharp right angles, which may become a hidden problem in the future. 5. The small gifts for dogs mentioned in the previous comments are not.

It's a really nice hotel, very clean, attentive and polite staff. The food at breakfast was good (as far as hotel breakfasts go). And it was quite reasonably priced.

We had a room on the street side of the hotel, and the traffic can get quite noisy. Were I to stay there again, I would ask for a room on the other side of the building. Also, and I know there are cost issues involved, breakfast on cheap paper plates and cheap plastic silverware left something to be desired.

BREAKFAST ON FRIDAY WAS AMAZING WITH OMLETTES AND FRENCH TOAST STICKS. THE HOTEL IS NICE AND SPACIOUS, LOVE THE WIDE HALLWAYS AND TALL CEILINGS. NICE SPACIOUS ROOMS AS WELL.

ON SATURDAY THE KITCHEN DIDNT KEEP UP WITH FILLING EVERYTHING, THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE HOT TRAYS, ONLY ONE BAGEL , NO COFFEE.. AND THERE WAS STILL 20 MINUTES LEFT OF BREAKFAST. WHEN THEY DID BRING HOT FOOD OUT, IT WAS LUKEWARM AT BEST.

Had a room on the fourth floor and the view of La Crosse and the bluffs was really delightful. The staff was very helpful: desk manager found a step stool for my short-statured elderly travel mom who could not easily get into the taller plush bed. Once in bed, though, the mattress and pillows were so comfortable and restful. Lobby/breakfast area was welcoming and well stocked. Appreciated the trays so guests could more easily manage carrying food and drinks. The free access to soda pop was a nice perk. Loved the hot food, fresh fruit and the selection of coffee and teas.

No complaints! Only a suggestion to expand breakfast choices. There was only one kind of bread to toast, one flavor of muffin, etc.

Breakfast was fine. I like that breakfast had protein and fruit options and wasn't just pastries. Coffee was excellent. Rooms are very nice.

I was clear in the reservation and at checkin that I was paying for two rooms. But when the second person, a student with few funds, checked in an hour after I did, the front desk staff messed up and asked for his debit card which resulted in his bank holding $350. So he didn't have access to funds for food. Even after we went to the front desk to try to free his debit card, the clerks were unable to release that hold on his card. So I had to give him cash so he could eat while at the convention.

New hotel with great comforts in the room. The person at the front desk when we arrived was fantastic - informative and easy to converse with. I like new bathrooms and the Gunderson might be the best hotel bathroom I've experienced. Breakfast was provided and fine. Dining area was very comfortable.

The Bed was firmer than I prefer and the pillows were not good for my taste. I typically bring my own pillow but forgot this time and it affected my sleep.
