Hampton Inn and Suites La Crosse Downtown

The location of this hotel is fantastic as it's easy walking distance to restaurants, parks, and bars in downtown La Crosse. The saltwater pool is warm and relaxing, and the room we stayed in for 3 days easily stands as one of the more comfortable and clean I've ever stayed in.

Nothing really. The waffles at breakfast could have been a bit more well done, but otherwise everything exceeded our expectations.

I think $50 non-refundable for a dog is a bit expensive! We have a small 6lb non-shedding puppy that I’m sure when you clean the room, you’ll never know he was there! I understand having some sort of deposit for those that make a mess or don’t pick up after their dog outdoors, but don’t think the entire $50 should be non-refundable! It would also be nice to have a nice grassy area for the dogs rather than a gravely, weedy area so far from the building…especially since you’re charging $50. We also had arranged late check out in advance and our keycards were not programmed accordingly. We came back from brunch and could not get back in the building or room.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Quiet and clean. Plenty of USB ports in various locations in the room. Very good continental breakfast in an attractive dining area. Friendly, courteous, helpful staff. They gave us great suggestions for restaurants.

Our Booking.com reservation apparently didn't go through, as the hotel had no reservation for us. Fortunately, they were still able to give us the room we wanted. The bathroom's sliding barn door kept sliding open and did not have a lock; that was not a good design feature.

front desk staff were wonderful, friendly and informative. breakfast was first rate every morning. coffee bar and fresh ice water were kept up with - clean, neat and always well stocked.

it was a bit noisy at certain times as there was a large family reunion on premise.

The motivated and friendly staff elevate the service and guest experience to outstanding. No problems observed with building fixtures, furnishings, or equipment. Very thoughtful provisions have been made to accommodate handicapped individuals. Breakfast buffet is more than adequate for most travelers. Excellent location.

The staff were amazing! We were given a room on the top floor facing the bluff where the New Years fireworks were going to be and we had a perfect view. They even gave us tips on places to check out for a great New Years experience.

The bed was a little hard. The pillows were not as fluffy as I usually like. But overall the room was really nice.

Everything was fine. Clean and comfortable room. Although the covid protocols have been relaxed enough, the hotel still had the cleaning codes in the room which gave us peace of mind. Limited breakfast due to covid but good coffee. If the hotels are already relax the covid restrictions, maybe is time to improve the breakfast offers. I don’t think any of them has adjusted the prices for not offering full breakfasts or daily room service 🤔😏

I loved the materials chosen for the room. I loved the layout of the room because it was thoughtfully planned out for maximum space. I loved that I had a refrigerator and a microwave. I love that it’s dog friendly.

That I got charged extra for dogs making a mess but my dogs did not make a mess because they are crate trained.

The air conditioning worked well and felt heavenly after being outside in the humidity. The front desk staff was amazing. Very friendly and attentive. A+

The shower didn't have great water pressure but it was adequate. The price was kind of high for a Hampton Inn, but I knew the price ahead of time so it was okay.

Cleanliness, overall, of the facility as a whole and the room. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel was extremely busy that particular weekend with a kids basketball tournament and a number of children there. The pool, at night, was an absolute disaster in terms of numbers and unattended kids in the area. Very loud as well.
