Inexpensive and right on campus and State street. Some fun vintage decor too

The hotel is well located in the city centre. The room was relatively small but fine for our needs, spotlessly clean, comfortable. The decor theme of the hotel in general is very nice. Staff are friendly.

The menu in the restaurant was very limited and mostly fast/fried food. A range of healthier options would have kept us at the hotel to eat.

it really is a neat hotel but the water in the shower was scalding , when I mentioned it to the front desk they said they were aware their water was pretty hot and that there was a way to adjust it but there was no thermo regulator that I could see, maybe stop at the wand shop before check in 😉

So fun and room details were great! Loved personal service via text and lobby was perfect for working and jumping on virtual meetings

The location of the Graduate Madison is ideal if you are visiting the University of Wisconsin. The theme and decor of Graduate hotels is fun and it pairs well with the energy of college campuses, and this one is no exception. It's not the fanciest, newest, or most luxurious hotel that you are going to find, but it is clean, comfortable, and ultra-convenient!

This isn't even a knock on this property, as it is consistent with most downtown/city hotels, but accessing this hotel by car and parking your car is a little bit of a challenge. The hotel had a $28 valet option, but I wanted easy access to our vehicle to get items in and out of the car (we were college-tour road-tripping with the whole family), so I ended up parking in a municipal ramp on the other side of State Street, a block away. Again, I knew going in that I was going to be paying for parking, so it wasn't a surprise and wasn't really a big deal. Just know that the drop-off, pick-up, and parking at this property takes a little bit of extra time and effort, given its location right adjacent to campus and downtown.

The only reason I give this hotel a 9/10 is because there is no breakfast. I was hoping for a yogurt parfait, but they only had croissants. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent in every other way. The staff is friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable and beautiful.

The lack of breakfast and that they do not give you a real cup or glass for your toothbrush. I asked, but they said they only had paper cups.

The hotel was in a great location right at the edge of the University campus and an easy walk to the city and capital building area as well. I was super pleased with the amount of contact I had both before and during my stay - they were all very accommodating and lovely.

When I first arrived, I didn't know where I could load/unload my luggage. I wish that there was a better system that was communicated more easily ahead of time. Further to that, there was a gentleman (potentially another hotel guest) not wearing a mask who was standing and talking to a staff member at the check-in desk when I arrived and during my unloading process (about 20 minutes in total). I wasn't a big fan of that considering there were multiple communications both beforehand and located within the space about guests wearing a mask whenever in public spaces.

I loved the coffee shop and working common area at the hotel lobby. My room was also quite spacious and unique which made it a great stay.

The fitness center has good intention (and even a Peloton) but the room is quite small and stuffy. I appreciate utilizing the space as fitted from the old building but that was my small complaint.

The Graduate Hotels have a great atmosphere, they are hip and fun with lots of beautiful artwork. Aside from the design, the amenities are above and beyond.

When we gave our keys to the valet, he realized the car was a standard and told us that he did not know how to drive it. Not a big deal, we just had to park ourselves.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat .. walkable to anywhere on the main campus, plus there is a free shuttle to more distant areas available at the Memorial Union a couple of blocks away. My room and bathroom were immaculate, and the mini fridge was a nice touch, especially to be able to have cold drinks during 90-degree weather.
