Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown

This place totally exceeded my expectations. The room was gigantic with a sofa, coffee station, desk, large bathroom, and all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I didn't expect the room to be so good and the beds were cozy. I also appreciated the early check-in accommodation. We landed in Madison at 10am, so being able to get into the room early was icing on the cake. The location isn UNBEATABLE.

I wasn't too thrilled about the breakfast spread, it was the bare minimum. It would be nice to have a few more (and interesting) food options. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the place. I love our 3-day stay.

The free breakfast was quite good and changed slightly every day. The location is good for anyone with activities in the downtown/Capitol Square area.

Not a big deal, but kind of weird that the door to the bathroom bumps the toilet when you close it. You have to be pretty 'deliberate' to close it. At some point the repeated banging on the toilet is going to make it start leaking at the floor seal.

Breakfast was simple but good - far exceeding many other experiences we've had travelling in USA. The room was super spacious with a nice sitting area which was perfect for us - sometimes we had to work and it served as a pretty comfortable "office", otherwise it also served as a lounge area when my residing family members in Madison came over to visit. The location was also superb with the capitol building just a block down the road.

So clean & easily accessible. 20 minute walk to the Sylvee. So close to so many restaurants! The staff was so accommodating to our late check out. We miscalculated when we would be able to check out after our 12pm event outside of Madison. The staff allowed us a later check out for a very minimal fee. They were incredibly nice.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hyatt Place in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. The room was spotless and spacious, and we had a room next door to our son and his family. The parking was convenient, affordable ($15), and allowed us to walk to downtown locations without stressing over city parking. The hotel staff was exceptional - friendly and welcoming, professional and efficient. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast in the morning which was delicious and plentiful. Kudos to Hyatt Place! You did a wonderful job during a very, very busy weekend!

Could Hyatt make the December weather in Wisconsin a little warmer? 😉

Fabulous location - an easy walk to the Capitol and State Street. Very friendly staff. Free breakfast and good coffee. Great water pressure in the shower, and the water heated up quickly. Comfortable bed. Reliable WiFi.

The thermostat was a bit tricky, so it was either too cool or too warm in the room at times. I didn’t love that parking wasn’t included in the room rate, but for convenience sake, it worked out well.

Room was great. Plenty of space and nice accommodation. Separate tub and shower to help keep the family moving in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.

Thank you for staying with the CDC guidelines and having the meal ready at our preferred time and allowing it to be brought to our room to enjoy. Can stay in our pj's comfortably and no need to apply makeup or combing our hair! The 24 hour gym hours! Thank you!

I wish the pool was opened longer - even have a "reserved pool hours" available for families to reserve their 1 or 2 hour slot. Clean the pool and get ready for the next family. This could allow the pool to be opened more then the 9-5. We were only able to use it once and left early because another family came in and did not follow space requirements. The fire alarm Sunday morning because someone was smoking an illegal substance in the basement stairway that could be smelt past the 3rd floor. This spot could probably have been seen on security camera and no one did anything until it was so bad that the smoke alarm went off! Our kids got an early education of what marijuana smells like.

Breakfast was good. Staff was exceptional and helped look into an issue!

Needs a hot tub in the pool area. Didn’t like having to pay extra for parking in their underground parking, but it was also nice having it parked out of weather!

staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. breakfast was fresh but wish there were more options. room was spacious and clean. great location - easy access to capitol and UW campus.

wish the bed were firmer.
