MainStay Suites Extended Stay Hotel Madison East

The room was comfortable - the beds and the temperature were good, which is always a plus for me. I appreciated the room-darkening curtains and the quiet air conditioner. The kitchen looked fine, thought I didn't really need to use it. I booked because it had 2 beds at a reasonable price. A hair dryer, iron, and ironing board were included. Shampoo and bar soap were the only toiletries included.

"Breakfast included" was advertised. However, as a person who is gluten-sensitive, there was nothing that I could eat for breakfast. There was instant oatmeal, which I find very unpleasant in any case, but no milk. So, instant oatmeal made with water was the only option, which I didn't even try. I ended up eating corn chips and applesauce that I had in my car for on-the-road snacks.

Breakfast was good despite COVID restrictions limiting the selection a bit. SUPER comfy beds, nice pool (pretty warm compared to others we've used) and hot tub was nice. Very clean common areas, pool area, breakfast area, and rooms. Friendly staff, helpful when needed. Small selection of games for families with kids was a plus. The game room is tiny but they have a silly candy crane game that we all thought was awesome! Laundry onsite was inexpensive and convenient. Nice and clean workout room with weights, treadmills, and an elliptical. Loved the full-sized fridge, stove, dishwasher, and toaster!

No bathroom fan

Our stay at MainStay Suites meet all of our expectations. The room was set up perfectly and we had plenty of room. The entire property inside and out was clean and kept well. The staff was helpful and courteous. I utilized the patio and the laundry facilities. There was a gym with lots of equipment if you want a workout while you are there. I highly recommend this property and Toby’s Supper Club, which is on the road leading to the property, for excellent food and service.

We stayed on the newer side of the hotel. ( MainStay). Spacious room. Very clean. Loved having the microwave, large fridge and 2 hot plate type burners to cook with. .We used the toaster daily. Appreciated having real dishes. ( 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 sets of silverware, etc). Appreciated that the exercise room is open! My daughter thought the pull out couch was very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were great! Many went above and beyond. Anything additional we needed was just a phone call away. ( Extra blanket, soap, towels, etc ..) Plenty of parking available in their lot. Would definitely stay here again!

The pool is still closed due to Covid. Would have preferred glass / reusable cups and mugs instead of plastic disposable cups. Especially since there is a dishwasher in the room. The cooking pans were very hard to clean. Despite using butter and cooking spray. Definitely not non stick. Limited offerings for breakfast due to Covid. ( Packaged cereal bars, pastry, oatmeal packets and yogurts).

We requested early check-in and even though they were full the night before, housekeeping had a room ready for us shortly after we arrived. The room was perfect- spacious, clean, comfortable and a joy to stay in. The pool temperature was a little cool but the hot tub was awesome. We applaud the staff. The building was clean, well kept and comfortable. The service was great and so was the breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.

We couldn't stay longer.

Seems new, large comfortable rooms, clean, and quiet. Neighborhood is safe and quiet with free ample parking. Not really near much but a 15-20 minute drive to downtown or the Marquette area. Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, particularly waffle bar and breakfast sandwiches. Kitchenette was fully equipped with flatware, dishes, cups, pots, and pans. All in all a really stay.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were perfect for what we needed. Loved having the small kitchen. Being a newer hotel all the walls and furniture were in great shape and looked taken care of. Loved the complimentary water bottles.

Not their fault but missed the eggs and bacon for our complimentary breakfast (due to COVID) but at least they still had waffles, cereal, and pre-packaged items. Hard-boiled eggs would have worked for us.

Room is huge (450 ft), with kitchen - full size refrigerator, full size microwave, stove top & sink. Buffet breakfast has no hot items - just muffin, oranges, bread & cereal, instant oatmeal. There is refrigerated ham & egg sandwich you can heat up in the microwave, pretty good !

Very few restaurants nearby. We went to Denny’s, not too far away. One man do everything for the whole restaurant ( there is also 2 people in the kitchen, that’s it) Poor guy ! He is definitely very stressed out ! Fully felt the impact of shortage of labor in the restaurant business !

the place was super clean, the staff very helpful and friendly, the only thing was the location, which wasn't the hotel's fault; there was no easy way to get there from the UW - Madison. hopefully more freeways better access will be built as this was great hotel.

The location was beautiful with the trees in the background. We saw 7 deer one evening. The pool was nice, the room was clean and large.

A hot tub would have been nice. There really isn't anything I didn't like. I would stay here again!
