Scent Premium Hotel

The location is perfect, in the centre but in a quiet street that makes all the difference (I was there for 2 weeks for work and stayed in another accomodation a few blocks away the first week, Scent Premium felt like a huge relief). From the hotel, you're also closer to the west side of the lake with nice boutique shops and cute cafes and restaurants (Cathedral area) but also less traffic. The hotel has a nice modern design and the room was big, clean and confortable (the bathroom was really big and has a bathtub). The bed was confortable and the room really quiet (I stayed a week there and never had an issue with this). Breakfast was really good too with both vietnamese and western food and a lot of choice. Most important, the staff was really really nice and helpful, always wanting to help or advise. They helped me calling a taxi in the morning (with no bad surprise for the price, aligning to the vietnamese Uber- Grab- prices) or planning my way back to the airport by booking a taxi with them. I was staying there by myself and their kindness and warm welcome felt really nice.

LOCATION. LOCATION. LOCATION. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room is very clean and quiet. Close to the lake and right in the middle of the Old Quarters. Food choices are plentiful. Will return.

Street is off limit to traffic from Friday to Sunday night [city regulations]. Plan for that if you have heavy luggage. About 80m from the nearest corner.

Great location down a quieter street but so close to everything. The staff were exceptional…friendly and helpful. Laundry was very simple and well priced.

The website mentions a rooftop bar but there isn’t one! That would have been nice to have.

The staff was super friendly and always willing to help us with any issues we had. We had no problems by communicating in English. They would hold the door for us, always give us fresh water bottles for our trips (without us asking for it) or even have a quick talk about our day. We have always felt very welcome and appreciated. The room was very clean and spacious and the tables for breakfast were nicely decorated and well looking. At breakfast we could choose from more western to authentic vietnamese food and even let us cook eggs or omelette. The bathroom had a very spacious shower with two small windows as well as bottles with shower gel and shampoo (but no conditioner though). The room also included 2 bottles (plastic) of water, tea, instant coffee, slippers, bath robes, soap bar, tooth brush, toothpaste and a razor. The hotel is also located in the middle of the old quarter, where you can find nice food and restaurants very easily. In my opinion the best hotel I‘ve been to in Vietnam. Would recommend!

The view from the window is nothing extraordinary and there is probably some plastic waste from all the extra stuff at the hotel room.

Awesome location, really nice staff that were very attentive and easy to contact if we needed anything. the breakfast was always great - it seems like they rotate the menu daily and there’s definitely something for everyone. easy check in and check out process. Really quick walk down to Hoan Kiem lake (literally 3 minutes) and the super trendy district around the old Cathedral. It was probably one of our best value hotel stays overseas in all our travels. A couple of staff members helped us arrange transport to Ha Long Bay and back and were very eager to do so. The taxi they can arrange for you to the airport on your way out is also super good value for money.

We did get upgraded to a room with a view for the last couple of nights of our stay but generally most rooms in hotels in the Old Quarter don’t come with windows or if they do, really small ones with just a view of the building next door so just something to be aware of and make sure you book a room with a ‘view’ and not just a window if that matters to you!

Centrally located , convenient to shopping , eateries , massages , and sightseeing. The staffs are just wonderful and eager to help ! From the managers , cafeteria staffs and reception , the whole team is so pleasant and friendly ! Staying here made us like the VIP ! They kept serving us refreshments, wet towers, and drinks we came in from the hot humid streets . The location is prefect with so many vendors, massages , and most importantly it is safe and busy . We will definitely recommend friends to stay and we would come back again!

The room is a bit small but the place is clean and comfortable !

This boutique spa hotel competes with many similar hotels in the area. Though we didn’t stay in other hotels, I can confidently say that the staff of this hotel is the best. Right from welcome till our departure, the staff Flora, Julie and everyone made our stay memorable. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. After every visit staff always offered us some or other drink. Outstanding customer focus. The location is in the heart of old quarters and perfect for tourism. Most of the touristic places are in walking distance. The breakfast is very good especially we being vegetarians didn’t go hungry. I was surprised that they served vegetarian Sushi. I would definitely stay at this place and recommend it for the service you get.

Internet disconnected once a while but worth neglecting.

All the staff at the hotel was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. When we arrived they surprised us with a cold towel als well as a refreshing drink and some fruits to snack on. They always answered our requests quickly and in a very kind manner. For example they showed us nice spots to eat and drink on a map and made suggestions for sightseeing. In addition, they immediately offered to call a taxi for us when we told them what we had planned. They also offered laundry service (which was well done), a scale for our suitcase and wellness like massage and spa (for which they have separate rooms on every floor). The breakfast was a great combination of traditional food and western culture, so everyone will finde something they enjoy. They always served fresh fruit, rolls, variety of greens, freshly made omlette and coffee or tea.

The internet connection was sometimes too slow so the smart tv at the room was not able to connect and therefore unusable.

The location was amazing, we did tons of wandering around Hanoi and shopping and it was super convenient being able to pop back to the hotel whenever we wanted for a break/to drop off purchases. The room was very clean and comfortable! The highlight was absolutely the staff, they were so incredibly helpful. I wanted to get some ao dai and they pointed me to an amazing shop I never would have found without them. We were leaving Hanoi to go to Ha Long Bay for a few days and the staff asked us if we would like to store anything there in the meantime, which was very kind of them. Everyone was so kind and friendly our whole stay. I’ve stayed at over a dozen hotels in Vietnam, and the breakfast buffet at Scent Premium is my favorite so far. As a vegetarian who is fairly picky, I’m used to making do with whatever I can find available, but their buffet had plenty of options for me which I loved! we will definitely be coming back, even later on in this same trip!

It was a truly amazing stay with Scent Premium. My trip was made totally free of fuss even before arriving in Vietnam with a ride booked for us from the airport by the staff. Once we arrived, the attentive staff offered us complimentary drinks while we awaited the check in. They also made it completely effortless for early checkin and room upgrade at around 10 in the morning at our request. Conditions of the property itself totally exceeded my expectations from its chic looking facades to every piece of furniture and equipment it contains.
