The Oriental Jade Hotel

The friendly, attentive staff are a real asset. The hotel was clean, inviting & comfortable. It’s in a convenient, central location - one block from the lake, Old Quarter shopping streets, the Cathedral & hundreds of cafes & food outlets. Handy minimart 3 doors away. Our family of four had spacious interconnecting rooms. Great double glazing keeping most of the Hanoi street noise out. We visited in the peak of summer so the freezing air con made for a great place to retreat to each afternoon. The rooftop infinity pool was a favourite with the kids with a great bar & fabulous views all around. The front of house staff are approachable & helpful. The breakfast buffet was fresh, varied & delicious - we LOVED the complimentary iced condensed milk coffee - thanks beautiful restaurant staff. Thanks also to the excellent & meticulous housekeeping staff for ensuring such clean & comfortable surroundings. Five stars all round!!

Hanoi Old Quarter hotels are generally much more expensive than anywhere else we experienced in Vietnam.

Wow! This place is amazing! The service is top notch and the location can’t be beat for Hanoi’s Old Quarter. If your browsing like I was for a hotel to stay in the area, the Oriental Jade Hotel is worth every penny. The room has cold AC, and is super clean. We got the balcony room so we could enjoy the street view of Hanoi’s wild street traffic every morning. The staff greeted us and told us goodbye everytime we left and had the door man open for us as well. Breakfast was pretty good as well. They greeted us with a welcome drink and even gave us a little gift before we left with a Vietnamese coffee maker! Main take away is to spend the money and book here, you’ll be within walking distance of everything and won’t regret it!

This is one of the best options to stay at in Hanoi. the staff are great, the rooftop pool is lovely and we were upgraded to a really nice room. The location is really central as well. we stayed here before our cruise on Elite of the Seas and were given a lovely gift of a local coffee set upon checkout. this was a really nice touch, when we travelled to Vietnam we didn’t think we liked coffee but now we love it and can’t wait to make them iced with condensed milk back at home

Best hotel experience ever! From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated like royalty. We stayed only for a night for my wife’s birthday and received free room upgrade with the bed decorated with flowers and free wine and birthday cake. Room was spacious and spotless with a beautiful view of the cathedral below. The rooftop bar and infinity pool are amazing with view of the lake in the old quarter below. The barman, Long, was excellent and gave us a free shot and made excellent Margaritas. This is the place to stay in Hanoi. I only wish we’d been able to stay longer. You will absolutely not be disappointed.

The staffs at a reception were always very helpful. They helped us to make reservations for restaurants and spa in the city a lot. Their personalities were wonderful and their service were very professional. The room had enough space for 2 people and we could sleep very well. Loved their breakfast, especially chicken and beef pho was very tasty! Enjoyed the pool and bar at rooftop too. Pool is not big, but the atmosphere was comfortable and the city& lake view was beautiful! We loved their warm hospitality until the very end of our stay.

Nothing much to say, if they could change the menu of breakfast a little bit each day it could be more enjoyable since many people stay more than one day

The location of the hotel is perfect for travellers who wish to access all sites easily. The hotel is well presented with some elegance; the rooms are well appointed, with comfortable bedding, towels and bedsheets of good quality. The staff is highly professional, welcoming and friendly, very efficient; guests are called by their names upon checking in, and feel valued at all times. The breakfast buffet is superb, elegantly presented with an amazing range of delightful dishes.

The swimming pool is well located on top of the building, with access to a welcoming bar area. The pool is small and not suitable for guests who wish to stay there for long times, which is normal in small city hotels. There is no shower, and as a consequence, guests tend to jump into the pool after long hours touring the city. It can sometimes be crowded and the water may not always be as clear as it could be.

the service was the very best thing about this place. the room, location, facilities and breakfast were also top rank. I even use the spa, the treatment quality was excellent. i have the 90 mins stone massage and hotel decided to compliment me with extra 30 mins. it was super nice and relaxing i also use their tour service as I want private tour to avoid hassle and due to our chosen time. it was slightly expensive compared to everything else in Hanoi but i was so very well looked after , safe and was allowed to go over the time without extra charge too.

This is definitely a fantastic, very well looked after hotel, well worth its stars and great reputation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and delivered an exceptional service, the rooms were a nice size, very clean and nicely furnished, the beds very comfortable and you could choose between two pillow sizes. The air con is nice and quite and so is the room insulation to the corridor and next rooms. You couldn't hear anything. There's lots of space to hang and store your clothes and the bathroom is also a nice size with a big shower. The pressure was very good and you could choose among various types, including a rain setting. The breakfast was also exceptional, lots of variety, all types of coffees and milks, including soy milk and gluten-free bread. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly. And the location of the hotel is great, as well, right in the old quarter, very convenient to all sights. All in all it was a superb stay and we'd always come back and highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in a good location with the lake about a 5 minute walk and large supermarkets across the road for you to buy anything you could ever need. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. There was a good variety of breakfast and menu options that you can choose from to be cooked for you. The eggs benedict was absolutely gorgeous! Rooms were a very good size, with plug sockets by the bed -A must when you are a traveler and need to charge your phone!

The church is situated quite close and you can hear the bells chiming hourly. It didn’t affect my sleep however my boyfriend is a light sleeper and sometimes woke up.

We stayed in two hotels in Hanoi. The service here was far superior. Hotel gave us complimentary wine for a special occasion. Complimentary airport transfer and use of an empty room before a late flight to shower. Amazing service from David and the team. Great location on the edge of the old quarter near the lake. Pool area is small but connects well to the bar. Breakfast is decent. Very helpful with anything you could need. Cannot recall better service.

One morning the service at breakfast was slow otherwise everything great. No bath in our room but we rarely use them.
