Golden Legend Diamond Hotel

his hotel surpassed any expectations I had. What a beautiful property, run by exceptional staff. Special mention goes to Trang at Reception who assisted me with literally everything. She is a gem and a huge asset to this hotel. The location is spot on and walking distance to everything. The street is small & fairly quiet so noise wasn’t a problem. I had a huge spacious room with dresser, table & chairs, couch and a nice balcony looking over the Old Quarter. The bathroom was large with a fantastic shower. The bed was super comfy. There weren’t any English channels on the TV but they got Netflix working for me. Breakfast is on the top floor, great views, friendly staff with a reasonable menu, served promptly and always tasty. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this property. I will definitely return.

It's the third time we were staying here. Excellent as ever. Spotless clean, very very clean rooms. Breakfast is delicious especially the mixed fruit pancakes with chocolate :-) In the middle of Hanoi but still quiet. And the staff is the best!! Extremely friendly!

The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. From the Reception Desk, especially Hang, Hien, Minh and Trang to the breakfast kitchen crew, we were so grateful for their professionalism, friendliness and excellent customer service which I can describe as over and beyond what we have encountered in our extensive travels. During our five day stay in Hanoi, they treated us almost like family.

Great location and nice rooms. Even it's in the center, it's in a street with less noise which is great.

When I booked it the hotel had an average review of 9.6. It's because they ask everyone to give a 10 star review. I liked the hotel but feel like an average of 9.6 is too high. The rooms are nice but nothing extraordinary and in the shower the door cover was coming off a bit

Very good breakfast buffet for a boutique hotel. Even better than the bigger hotel that we stayed in in Ha Long and so much different than the breakfast offer in our hotel in Ho Chi Minh. Very friendly and helpful staff. They provide you with a map as soon as you check-in.

The people were excellent, the location was great, great bed, good storage.

The shower had quite a bit of mould when we arrived which remained there until we requested it be cleaned, which it was. The vanity cupboard smelled of mould. The bedding was clean and well laundered. The main room was not swept or mopped daily and was quite dusty. We had a balcony and had the door open quiet often. After a couple of days the bottoms of our white socks were dirty. It was like that until we left. We should not have had to ask for it to be cleaned. Our stay was long by their standards, 6 days, so our critique of the breakfast extends only to the fact that the choices were the same for the 6 days. Otherwise it was adequate for the cost. We should point out that in spite of the above we have recommended this hotel to other travellers we have met in Vietnam.

Golden legend Diamod are the best. So welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and comfy, and the location is central to everything in old quarter but on a surprisingly quite street with a chill cafe vibe that allows you to escape a little of the craziness that is Hanoi. To their highest praise was how sympathetic and helpful they were when my wife hurt herself and we had to return to hanoi and cancel a portion of our trip. They were able to straight away book us into an available room at a fantastic price and offer us all the help we needed for her recovery. The staff were also just so willing to have a laugh and chat which made us feel like we got to know some genuine and real Vietnamese people. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location in the old quarter. Great spot for walking around. Breakfast included in our booking and they had everything from pancakes and omelettes to fruit and fried rice. The staff was very helpful before we even arrived. Zenky, the manager, helped ensure a smooth arrival late at night by setting up an airport transfer, he also secured tickets for us to the water puppet show and held them at the front desk until we arrived. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and great for couples traveling with kids. There is a lift to all floors. AC worked great and rooms were clean. Large shower. All around a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Hanoi.

great location, rooms were very clean with all the amenities you’d need for a stay. The breakfast buffet was nice with lots of variety of cooked food and fresh fruit, can also order freshly cooked eggs to your liking. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they’re happy to help with booking of tours, transport and anything else required for you stay in Hanoi/Vietnam. They also let us use the shower despite having checked out that morning and made sure we were comfortable while waiting for our bus, a really friendly bunch of people who are a credit to the hotel. Would love to visit again.

I extended my stay because I really liked the hotel. Maybe room is not entirely new and shiny but it is super comfortable and has everything you need: many sockets, many storage places, a desk and comfy chair, spacious shower with a door, lots of light and big comfy bed with clean sheets. Just nearby you have lots of cafes and hawker stalls with local food which are opened late at night. Also you feel like you visit your family: the staff there is so friendly and helpful! They will answer all your questions and help you with any issues you have.

A few moths in the bathroom. Also a bit later time for breakfast would be nice as I'm not a morning person and I had to skip it many times in the favour of sleeping longer.
