The staff at Auberge Saint Antoine is amazing. Starting from the early coordination between myself and the concierge, Frantz to the desk staff to the bellmen. They were all professional, courteous, and genuinely concerned that we were enjoying our stay. Our room (King, river view) was great looking out over the St. Lawrence. You should be aware that some of the rooms look out over a terrace which I expect is used when the weather is nice. It was chilly and wet while we were there in mid-April.

This isn't really what we didn't like. It is more of things to be aware of. When considering whether to have breakfast at the hotel, be aware it is expensive for what it consists of. So just be aware that there are great bistros (Mason Smith) nearby that are much more reasonable. Make no mistake the food at Chez Muffy was great (the best croissants we had in Québec City) but $35.00 was a lot given what the breakfast consisted of. Also, be aware that the hotel is located in the lower part of the city. The main part of the city (Chateau Frontenac, La Cittadelle, etc.) is located up a fairly steep hill that includes many stairs and/or climbing walks. To get to the main part of the city, a climb is involved.

Absolutely beautiful hotel located right in the heart of Old Quebec City! We were doted on from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single staff member we interacted with were absolutely amazing, always greeted with smiles. I’d love to give a special shout out to the concierge Franz- he is super knowledgeable about the area and so kind, willing to help any way he can. The bell hops were also phenomenal! We didn’t have to carry anything with them around. We definitely felt spoiled. Breakfast at Chez Muffy was great, Artefact bar was great. The room was spotless. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely be returning here next time we take a trip to Quebec. DO NOT HESITATE when booking this hotel, trust me! They also gave us homemade cookies at check out for our drive back home.. above and beyond!

Nothing!

I had researched this hotel before I booked it. It was a trading shop in the 1600s and rich in history. The owners have restored yet modernised the hotel. When they excavated the hotel they discovered heaps of artefacts from the 1600 to now. Most are on display around the hotel and every room has a small piece displayed on the door. Bathrobes and slippers, coffee and tea to heated flooring. The staff all so very helpful and friendly…..couldn’t do enough for us. Loved them. And the bartender in the artefact bar …..fantastic. Wifi awesome and lobby fireplace to die for. I cannot begin to tell you how much this hotel set us up for the perfect Quebec experience that it did, not in my wildest dreams.

I had to leave.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here and the personal little touches the hotel did to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was really good. The location was fantastic, so close to all the quaint little areas of Old Quebec.

The only thing we didn’t like, and it’s only small is that due to pets being allowed in the hotel, we could smell the smell of dog in our room, presumably in the rug. Could smell it while lying in bed at night and not having a dog ourselves, it was a little off putting.

Check in and out was super friendly and efficient. Our comfort king room was large and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The heated bathroom floor was much appreciated! They fixed a problem with our room heating very quickly and without any fuss. The concierge was very helpful in organising a trip out of town for us. The breakfast at Chez Muffy was excellent. The location on the river and in the old town was superb.

A couple of times in our 4 night stay the room service was done pretty casually and not to the standard you expect from a hotel like this. We loved the hotel bar and the staff were very friendly but at times the service was very scattered under pressure.

Excellent small hotel with warm personnel. Receptionists and doormen were all kind, pleasant, and helpful. We arrived early and the room was not ready but they texted me as soon as the room was ready. We walked around the neighborhood while waiting and it was very nice. Lobby was very attractive and comfortable and many people were reading/relaxing in front of the fire. Room was quiet and comfortable, supplied with the nespresso machine and ample supply of capsules. We had dinner at the in-house restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in recent years. We had a very pleasant stay and would go back again.

Our room was ready for us when we arrived (1 hour prior to standard checkin) and it was definitely a quiet room! Also, housekeeping was efficient and thorough - our room was cleaned and there was turndown service. The gym was super small, but then again, this is a boutique hotel. The friendliness of the hotel staff was genuine and welcoming - we loved that they were not pretentious as can be the case at some establishlishments.

We loved everything about this hotel and would stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The bathtub is massive - I am 5'2" and my feet couldn't even touch the end. But, the whole bathroom setup was perfect and really spacious. The room was a good size and we loved the big closets, plus whole tea and coffee prep area. The seltzer water spout in the gym is also a really great little perk! The gym is beautiful and my husband loved the sauna. The location is good, right in the middle of the petit Champlain area. We loved Matthew at the valet and appreciated the heads up that there are fireworks every Thursday night through the summer, so we got to see a great show this week. Everyone was so helpful and room service was a good price too. Overall, it was a perfect stay for our babymoon. We really loved how comfortable and quiet the room was, plus all of the amenities. Also, the full bottle of body lotion was an amazing touch in the room. I really appreciated the efforts to reduce plastic waste from those tiny bottles that hotels usually supply. As someone with drier skin, this is an amenity that I wasn't expecting but wish every hotel had!

Everything was great :)

We booked the hotel based on precious reviews, but we were blown away by the staff’s attentiveness and the amenities offered. The little touches made all the difference. Arriving at the hotel each night gave the feeling of arriving home. If we ever make it back to Quebec, we will absolutely return.

The wine at the bar was a little overpriced and not a great selection. We opted for a speciality cocktail instead, which was delicious!

I was blown away by my exceptional experience at this hotel, so much so that it has now become the only place I will stay at, while in Quebec City. Impeccable cozy/trendy decor, over-the-top incredible service from all staff (front desk, concierge, front door, servers), delicious food at both the restaurant and bar, amazing gym, phenomenal central location in the Old Town. I'm pleased that I decided to stay in this boutique hotel with just over 90 rooms, than the enormous Chateau Frontenac, which would feel extremely isolating and quite creepy. You will not regret staying here.

No complaints. Everything was perfect.
