The garden terrace was a great location to set out side, meet other travellers and relax before or after a day’s activity. Beds were super comfortable and roomy. And great to have a communal kitchen in the basement to store foods or replenish supplies.

Regardless of our ability to use all sorts of wireless utilities, couldn’t figure out for the life of us how to use the television. Would be a great addition to have a brochure on how to use the T.V. Also if your a tea drinker, we were out of luck. No tea bags in the room, in the communal kitchen or in storage (we asked staff to look). But the Chateau does provide great quality coffee if you are a coffee drinker!

The hotel is close to Old Quebec, definitely walking distance, almost across the street from Chateau Frontenac. However, it is at the top of the hill from Old Quebec, so you will be walking up a lot. The room was nice. We felt as if we were in older times. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom is plain, nothing spectacular. The hotel had a good security system, you need codes for the door plus your room. No keys to carry around or lose. We were able to drop our luggage off early prior to our room being available, which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The door to the toilet/shower room is an old folding door, hard to use and did not close. There was no way to turn the thermostat down that we could find. Was a bit warm at night.

The location is great for exploring central Quebec City - everything is a short walk from the hotel and it only takes a couple of minutes walk to get onto the Dufferin boardwalk. The room was a good size and it was interesting to stay in one of Quebec City's old and historic buildings, formerly a private home. WiFi worked very well. Very quiet location even being so close to the centre of town.

Remote reception - no reception staff on site, but having said that, the electronic check in and entry code system worked well. It was not clear in the Booking.com information that the hotel was 'unmanned' with remote entry.

Perfect location, cozy and snug private basement room with windows looking out onto the street and Chateau Frontenac. The room design has a cozy cabin feel, mini fridge, coffee machine, a table with chairs set with cutlery, tv, two beds and a clean modern bathroom with a tub. Loved the contactless check-in. Extra blankets and towels available in common basement area next to common basement kitchen that includes lots of fridge space, toaster oven, and even champagne flutes to use.

I thought the kitchen was private and included with the basement room only upon booking based on photos and description.

It was an incredible location - based on that alone I would recommend it. The lobby was smaller than I’d thought but very photo / selfie worthy. Our room was a bit tight for three people (including a teen) but it was very clean. we were mostly expecting that it wouldn’t be ultra luxurious and we weren’t there to lounge or watch movies - we were there to explore! the old world charm was lovey. The kitchen area looked great had we wanted to use it. The staff was very reachable and responsive even after we checked out! I forgot something and they let me return to get it. We had no trouble parking but we arrived on a Thursday afternoon. The closest parking lot is also the closest lot to some main attractions and arriving Friday evening or Saturday could have presented problems especially when events are happening. That’s not an issue with the hotel, just an observation for anyone driving into the city to stay. Thank you!

The beds were very firm and the bedding (pillow cases etc) wasn’t spectacular but it was fine. the pillows were great though. There was nothing about the property that would make me not recommend it unless someone was looking for a spa experience or something like that. For an adventurous couple or family, go for it!

We really like location, it is in the middle of the Upper city and next to Frontenac hotel. Very convenient to explore old city. Lots of restaurants around, but quiet street, underground parking 150 meters away. Small but very clean room that has everything you need. Staff communicated with us via messenger, replying very fast. We got all info that we requested- how to check in, how to find parking, even if room has a fridge or not! Perfect staff!!! You do not need front desk if you have such an excellent communication via phone. Will definitely stay there again and recommend our friends.

Only one disadvantage is absence of elevator, but it is pretty common for old hotels. If you have walking problems, just ask about room on the first floor!

The ease of self check-in and communication with the hotel was incredible. They answered all my questions immediately which helped ease our minds prior to arrival. The hotel location was perfect as we were able to walk everywhere with ease. It was a magnificent hotel and so clean.

It was a little noisy as we were on the main floor and could hear people talking very clearly above us and walking around. Since we were beside the front door, people would close it hard which rattled our room. Things that can't be controlled and we were ok with it since the noise upstairs quieted down by 11pm.

The location was excellent, steps away from the city's main attraction - Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. The decor was true to the Old Quebec's charm, which was why I booked the place. At first I was afraid that since the place is older I might have a difficult time sleeping (I'm a light sleeper when I travel to "some" places.) Happy to report that I slept well and the a/c noise was not an issue at all, some hotels' a/c bother me but this was not the case. Satisfied with my overall experience, room was small, bathroom was small but they were expected. The bathroom in my room was much nicer than I anticipated, tiny, but everything was new and nicely done in good taste.

Excellent location, literally steps from almost everything; wonderful old world charm . Property manager was not on site but responded immediately to my questions and concerns (especially regarding the parking situation). Thanks again!

The parking situation is horrendous but understandably can't be helped given the limited space in the area- we had to park many blocks away.but we managed and it is something to write home about! The only negative thing about this property is the quality of the toilet paper - if you offer a little better quality people would use a lot less and you would still save $ ??! The bathroom was a surprise - have never been in such a tiny one but it is newly created and the shower 🚿 is amazing!

Virtual check-in was easy. We could reach out to the staff via texting and received great tips on various locations such as the pharmacy and laundromat as well as dining. The location was great within easy walking distance of the boardwalk and old town restaurants. As guests you had access to the full kitchen below and the coffee maker in the room came with real half and half in the mini fridge.

The room was pretty cramped but adequate for a three night stay. The shower, though fancy, was technically challenging. The lighting over the sink was inadequate.
