Location could not have been beat! It was in the center of everything. Hotel Frontenac across the street. Bus tour connection was out front. We parked the car in underground parking 2 blocks away. No problem. We did not use the car the entire time-which was our plan. We walked everywhere. (We are in our 70's) Stephan was over the top in helping us with ideas and suggestions. I made a reservation early and requested a street facing room and one with a walk in shower and a room with some of the original brick walls. ALL requests were filled! Because you cannot park at the Hotel it is important to note they have a 10 min 4 or 5 car parking spot out front so you can register and unload before putting the car in the parking garage (17.50$ pday) THIS IS THE SPOT!

They had complementary coffee in the morning but NO 1/2&1/2 or creme. Milk only. We opted for NO coffee. BUT, literally around the corner just a few hundred feet is the best coffee in town with the best pastries! La Maison SMITH-we purchased a coffee mug for a souvenir and in fact the only souvenir!

comfortable and pleasant room, friendly staff

The view was disappointing. We looked at emergency stairs and air conditioning systems. Although we didn't book a room with a view, this particular view was especially disappointing. We kept the curtains closed at all times. When we arrived, the 10 minute parking in front of the inn to allow patrons to unload luggage was taken by people eating at the restaurant or shopping. We couldn't unload our luggage and had to carry everything from the city hall parking garage. This was disappointing and the staff response left the impression that its not an unusual situaiton.

The hotel was in the Upper Town, within walking distance of all the historic sites. There was a large selection of restaurants close by. Our room was a good size; beds comfortable; bathroom and room were clean. There was a good bakery just around the corner; coffee was provided in the lobby, but breakfast was not included in the price. The staff were bilingual (French and English) and friendly.

There was no refrigerator in the room (but this is not a deal-breaker). The construction in town blocked off several streets, making the parking garage seem a lot farther from the hotel than it actually was. However, we really appreciated the staff's willingness to program directions into our GPS so that we could find the parking garage efficiently!

A great location to explore Quebec City, easy to go to and from. Very comfortable room, modern bathroom, quiet and clean. Staff were friendly, too. I'd definitely recommended exploring outside of the city proper if you can (and want to speak more french), 3e Avenue and Levis were both neat spots to check out. Levis, grab a ferry - it's inexpensive and a fun excursion! A climb down some stairs and around the bend to even more stairs is the ridiculously charming Old Town. Climb down and then take the funiculaire back up. Get ready for a fun adventure and know staying at Auberge du Trésor is the perfect spot to rest up for the next day.

Perfect location right in the centre, couldn’t have been better! Air con in the bedroom, comfy bed, complimentary coffee in the morning.

No breakfast options and no view from our room. But this didn’t bother us much as we didn’t spend much time in the room and lots of breakfast options at nearby restaurants. Note that accessibility is reduced in this hotel (I assume due to it being an older building maybe protected?) - the only access to the lobby/rooms is through a rather small staircase / no lift.

The location for a two night stay in QC was perfect. We had a stunning view of the Chateau Frontenac right outside our window and we could walk everywhere quickly and easily. Many choices for cafes, bars and restaurants and there is a tourist information centre next door. The walking tour we booked was a highlight of the trip.

The wait to be seated at the restaurant/bar downstairs can be quite long depending on the time of day so best to go before or after the lunch or dinner peak times.

The location is absolutely fabulous. Right in the action of the old Quebec. The cleanliness of the room, is remarkable. The room very comfortable and quiet environment.

The awkward welcome by an empty receptionist desk. The fact that there are no parking possible and no valet offered to go park the car for our convenience. The direction to get to the SPAC parking was misleading and made us lose precious time driving around to find it. The receptionists are courteous to the minimum. They seem overwhelmed, not able to give any extra mile to satisfy customers. They are rude among themselves. A bit of a turn off. Careful if you have young children and a lot to carry with you. There are quite some stairs to climb. No elevators. Not easy to get your way in and out to your room.

Great location. Very central to everything. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. They spoke very good English so we had no trouble communicating as we do not speak French.

I didn’t like that there was no elevator to the top floor where we stayed. It was hard going up and down the stairs with bad knees. There was an odd odour every time we entered our suite but once inside for awhile we didn’t notice it as much.

The Auberge du Tresor in "Old Quebec" is comfortable, and in a fantastic location across a plaza from Hotel Frontenac and the boardwalk. When you arrive, pull up to front door to drop bags, then drive around corner to park in public underground lot. Our room on 3rd floor in back was quiet, clean and attractive, not fancy but a reasonable size with comfortable queen bed. Auberge does not have an elevator but we knew this in advance. No breakfast offered but good coffee in lobby every morning. If you stay here you can walk to everything "Vieux Quebec" has to offer from museums & restaurants to parks and shopping. Restaurants we chose were excellent, locals were friendly and helpful. The Bar attached to the auberge is very pleasant too with good food and drink.

One of us only drinks tea and would have liked to have it available where the coffee was.

They do not serve breakfast there, but an easy walk to many delicious places. They serve coffee at the front desk.

I didn't like that they did not have an elevator. But the staff was friendly and helpful in carrying our bags as my husband just had surgery and couldn't lift anything heavy. It is an old building so I get it.
