Hôtel Manoir Vieux-Québec

Can't beat this location. It is at the heart of Old Quebec. Right next to the castle and the boardwalk. Little walk away from all the restraunts you need

We had trouble getting our stroller to the room and taking it out because there is no accessible enterance.

We loved the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. My favorite is the rooftop terrace showing a beautiful view of the Chateau Frontenac. There's a coffee machine with to go cups in the main lobby that makes excellent cappuccinos. Parking is nearby and reasonable. Beds are comfortable and shower is amazing. Added bonus is the hot tub and gym on the terrace. Our stay was very pleasant overall and would go back.

The room in the pictures on Booking.com for a Deluxe King room wasn't what we expected The pictures are based on the 2nd floor with the fancy windows..our room was awkward shaped. The pillows are so flat you can crumble them in a ball. The hot tub had too much chemicals and no circulation so 5 min max is all that can be tolerated. There's no breakfast or housekeeping during the stay due to COVID.

Very central location, large room, comfortable bed.

The room was noisy, you could hear the wsterpipes from the other rooms.

The young man at the front desk named Sam was superb with customer service and extremely helpful. My arrival was scheduled to be after front desk hours. I had been told by a young lady that I would be given entry info. That didn’t happen so I called. Sam said that he would be there until 10:30 p.m. As it turns out, my cab got lost and when Sam called to check on my eta, he assured me that he would wait for my arrival. On departure, I had requested a cab reservation which the day clerk did not complete, so once again Sam came to the rescue. On all counts, he was helpful with every question, well mannered, unflappable and found a solution to pretty much everything within his control. The owners of Manoir Vieux Quebec should be pleased to have such a remarkable employee. Location was very good. It took me a day or so to figure out how close I was to everything l. Eg. Less than a block from the frontenac and Terrasse dufferin mostly because I arrived late at night and didn’t see the landmarks. The room was comfortable and had most things needed.

While the linens were clean, the room surfaces could have been cleaner. The surfaces were dusty and there was debris on the carpet. The walls were stone so the debris may have been the natural sloughing of the stone. I should have checked what sundries were provided as I had to go out to purchase lotion. That’s certainly not a dealbreaker. The final snag really had nothing to do with the Manoir. The cab to return to the airport did not arrive as requested. It’s a good thing that I’d asked Sam which company as I was able to call them. They confirmed the reservation that he’d made even to the room number. At any rate all’s well that ends well but they may want to ensure that the cab company does not err again by not showing up. Travel is stressful enough these days.

Great location in reference to Old Quebec part of town. Enjoyed the green space/park in front of the hotel. Great roof top area to relax on. Was very happy to be accommodated with a garage parking pass which enabled coming and going without having to pay each time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to English speakers.

A few hiccups in the room to start- the shower was not draining and flooded the bathroom floor. Additionally one of the Murphy beds was very difficult to pull down due to a misalignment and one of the bed legs was broken. The manager was very responsive in fixing the shower quickly and we just ended up just keeping the bed in the downward position. One thing to keep in mind, the parking garage openings will not accommodate a rooftop carrier on an SUV.

The location of Hotel Manoir Vieux Quebec is perfect if you want to be in Vieux-Quebec and near the Terrasse Duferrin as well as nice restaurants and eateries. The downstairs jacuzzi was great for relaxation. The elevator is the quietest elevator I have ever been on. The rooftop terrace is great for relaxing, getting a panoramic view of the city and taking pictures.

The hotel is wonderful. I didn't know that you would have to climb up a long stairwell to get into the lobby. It was fine for me, but if a person has difficulty with stairs (escaliers), it might be challenging for them to access the property.

It would have been helpful if breakfast was available.

The hotel is newly renovated and very nice. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The location is perfect - on a quiet street across from a park, with lots of restaurants close by, and a short walk to the lower town. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel doesn't provide daily room cleaning, but you can request anything you need. We were taking our own garbage to a trash can by the elevator, and others were clearly doing the same thing, so the hallway occasionally smelled like food garbage. This was a minor thing.

This hotel is perfect! Location, cleanliness, and staff cannot be exceeded. The front steps are a bit steep, so you need to be careful going in and out. Staff will help with your bags. We were so happy with our stay.

The older woman on the desk one day was not helpful and not too willing to go out of her way to find information for us. In contrast, the two young women on the desk were incredibly helpful with directions, recommendations, and everything in between! They made our stay very enjoyable!!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for exploring Old Quebec, walked everywhere,

There is a full set of steep stairs to enter the building and no attendants to assist with baggage handling. Outside of building is neglected, beds of tall weeds where landscaping should be. Day of our departure there was a local marathon which prevented us from retrieving our car from the parking garage (3 blocks away) causing a delay in checkout and departure. Hotel staff should have notified guests of this event so we could be prepared.
