The location is incredible. Walking distance to lots & lots of restaurants. The hotel has been recently remodeled, and everything is new & fresh. They used a very classy, relaxing color scheme throughout the hotel and rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were high quality. Rooms were very quiet. New rain showers with additional massage heads at body level made for an amazing shower. All of the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were so friendly and helpful.

No free breakfast option. There is a restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast though. The single serving coffee makers in the room were hard to work with.

Great location, comfortable bed & enough space in the room, especially for a historic hotel. We faced the Fairmont hotel & side street so we had a view & it was quiet. Bedding was very comfortable. Bathroom had undercounter lighting which was nice when waking up at night & not wanting a bright light to wake up the other person in the room. Keurig coffee machine in room. Nice restaurant downstairs. I ate breakfast there.

A suggestion would be to have a full length mirror outside of the bathroom. The only mirror was over the sink in the bathroom making it difficult for 2 people to get ready at the same time.

First, the staff was terrific. I wish I had been more observant of specific names. They were all very helpful with our questions, providing recommendations for local dining. They arranged our transportation to the cruise port. Somehow, they make everyone feel special. Secondly, location, location, location. The Clarendon is right in the heart of Old Quebec. It's roughly one block from the Frontenac, with a myriad of shops and restaurants all around. Le Maison Smith had wonderful pastries and all of your coffee options. Le Mordus on-site restaurant has diverse breakfast options. My wife and I shared the Hungry Fisherman, and it was delicious and ample for the two of us. Would definitely stay there again if we are ever back in Quebec City.

Since we are embarking on a 10-day cruise, we overpacked. It took us a while to figure out how to organize the room. But once we got settled, it was fine.

Historic building with nicely updated rooms and excellent beds. The location is perfect for exploring old town on foot, and we had a room (520) looking out towards Chateau Frontenac, which was a nice bonus. There is a convenient valet service at the entrance for things like borrowing umbrellas and storing luggage on check-in/check out days. When we arrived there was a problem with a leak in some rooms, so they put us up at Chateau Frontenac for a night, and we actually preferred this room for its modern updates.

Little things- bathroom entrance was a bit awkward - the door barely clears the sink so you have to wedge yourself into a corner to open the door from the inside. There were still some damp spots on the carpet. We were here on a weekend in late June, and the room rate was a bit pricey. A complimentary breakfast would be nice at this price point!

I LOVED the bathrooms--heated tile floors, roomy showers, super clean and bright, with a "new" feel. Lots of towels. Great location--right across from a beautiful square with fountains and adjacent to touristy areas and wonderful restaurants but not noisy. Quiet hotel. Loved my breakfast...not sure from the comment here if that was supposed to be included in the price. If so, I missed that but it was worth paying for too. Loved having a mini fridge in my room.

Parking was conveniently located right across from the hotel. I should have parked there myself rather than having paid extra for the valet parking. I wish I'd realized that they would just be parking it there ;-)

The location and view were the best features of the hotel. You cannot beat it for proximity to the heartbeat of the city and views of the Frontenac and other attractions. The bed was comfortable and the room was equipped with shades to help make it nice and dark.

Despite the very hot and humid weather, no complementary water bottles were provided. When we asked at the desk we were pointed to some vending machines. That was below the class level of what we expected. The bathroom was cramped with a towel bar being poorly placed in the front of the sink. If you stumbled into the bathroom in the middle of the night, you could fracture a knee cap easily. Heated bathroom floors were nice, but there were nothing drawing our attention to this feature and we would not have known had we not discovered the controls. Very low quality tissues in the bathroom were another surprise.

This was our first time in Quebec City, and we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience! The location was amazing! close to everything and only a few minutes from fantastic restaurants, cafes, and the funicular and stairs to lower town. The room was on the 6th floor with an amazing view through the large round windows. You could see all the lights and beauty of the streets and park below, could see the river in the distance. We spent a lot of time just looking out of those windows!! The beds were super comfortable and there were many nice amenities like a HUGE shower with multiple jets and great water pressure, a Keurig for coffee or tea and a small fridge. All of the staff, especially the front desk staff were super friendly and helpful, as were the waitstaff at the restaurant on site (the food was also delicious!). There is a public parking garage which is connected to the hotel by an underground walkway. It was reasonable and super convenient. Really, everything was outstanding and made our first visit to Quebec City magical! We will definitely be back…hopefully to the same room!!

Can’t think of a thing.

THe location of the hotel is suberb right next to the much more expensive chateau frontenac, close to everything in old quebec city palace royal, ferry to levis, petit champlain neighborhood, so close that you can come take rests at your room during the day. The hotel is also very maintained and rooms for families are perfect. Everything modern and working at a very fair price.

Parking can be a bit expensive (30+taxes) if you dont find a parkimeter. Best is to come without a car as you really dont need it since the hotel is near everything

The location was great. An easy walk to anything we wanted to do in Old Quebec. The valet parking was pretty efficient and the drivers were friendly. Shower water pressure was great and we slept well. We forgot items on our room and they contacted us to ship them to our residence. Service all around was great.

The hotel restaurant was good for adults but breakfast options weren't great for kids. They mix sauces and granola into everything which my kids (and I think most others) don't enjoy. Room was a little small.

Fantastic location right in the middle of the old Quebec town . Great room : spacious , quiet and clean . Good restaurant on site serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For guests coming from cruise ships arriving early morning, be ready to be patient 😎😡. The check-in time is 4.00 pm. Don’t expect to get in the room earlier. They have a good storage area for your luggage but usually most hotels open the check-in before the actual announced time . We had a hard time to understand how all the rooms would be cleaned by the same time as several guests had to wait in the lobby to access their rooms.
