Le Clos Saint-Louis

Beautiful property right in old Quebec. The location is superb. It’s charming and antique. The room was large and comfortable, with toiletries, a mini fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker, and hair dryer. There were recommendations for where to get food and drink nearby.

It wasn’t a problem for us, but there are four floor with a spiral staircase of narrow steps and no elevator. Again it wasn’t a problem but it should definitely be taken into consideration when booking. There were no staff in site. The check in process was remote. Not a problem for us, but other travelers might dislike it.

Location was perfect for us to walk all of Old Quebec City. The atmosphere was quaint and charming as we expected from this boutique property. Self check-in process was easy and communication was off site staff was better than expected.

Our room was on the top floor and the spiral stairs were steep. I think it was worth it for us because the room was cute, but not accessible if you are handicapped. The bed was “OK” but not as comfortable as many other places we’ve stayed. I would have preferred a property with a front desk staff and a small bar/restaurant.

The room was set up with tables and chairs so you could have morning coffee and a pastry without going out for them. We were most impressed with the very modern shower in an otherwise Victorian decorated room. The room was very quiet and warm.

Although everything was fine it wasn't clear from the booking that I needed to call the hotel directly to reserve a parking spot ( They have only 5 ) although I had told them at the time I booked that we'd be needing a parking spot and they got back to me with the pricing etc...however, they never made the reservation. One day before we were supposed to arrive I got an email with check-in procedures, and it said I needed to call if I wanted to book parking. When I called they were all booked up except one spot for one night. It eventually worked out (thanks to a very accommodating staff member) and I was able to park there for our entire trip. Just a bit of stress that could have been avoided had the instructions been a bit more clear.

The location is phenomenal and our room was absolutely perfect (we were in one of the bigger suites)! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the living room area was perfect for relaxing.

The hotel doesn't have a reception, which is inconvenient, but the staff is reachable by text message or phone. Additionally, we had some miscommunication regarding breakfast - there is no breakfast at the hotel, and in order to use the vouchers provided by the hotel, you need to make reservations at a place that is nearly impossible to get into.

The location on Rue Saint Louis was very convenient for getting around. The area around the hotel was quiet. The room was a generous size and the bathroom was nicely updated. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the Bello Restaurant next store was excellent! There are many good dining options in the immediate area and within a short walk from the hotel.

Be prepared for a narrow and curving staircase if you are on the 2nd floor or above; there was no elevator. This is noted on the hotel information but you need to pay attention to this if stairs and lifting a heavy suitcase are an issue.

The location couldn’t be better! Just a short walk to everything! Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. I wouldn’t say we had a quiet room, but the sounds from the street were minor. Being so close to charming restaurants and cafes was fantastic. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Thank you. I

Weren’t able to adjust the temperature (or we didn’t know how) and it was a bit warmer than we liked. I lived the down comforter, but my husband sleeps hot. We could have opened the window but he doesn’t like the sounds as he’s a light sleeper.

Beautiful, historic property close to everything we wanted to see. Very easy check-in and staff was helpful in reserving parking and providing directions when we arrived, and then in providing restaurant suggestions. We thought our room was charming.

It would have been very nice had more coffee pods been available in our room. Also, staff didn't seem to know about the coffee shop across the street on the corner. It was quite convenient to grab a couple of coffees and snacks to eat on our way out of town at 8am on our last day.

location in Old Town Montreal; immaculately clean; beautifully appointed with authentic furnishings; walk to exceptional restaurants!!! La Bouche, Bella. The omelette; Ophelia. comfortable queen bed. beautiful rose toile print for window coverings and furnishings. Alexi was very helpful on multiple occasions. stunning, deep casement windows. little to no street noise although our room was on the first floor, street-side.

parking on secure lot, although my husband said. “it was well worth the fee.”. I didn’t see an elevator, but we did not need one. we appreciated the availability and needed the exercise, but we are not getting any younger. offer Clos Saint Louis “wagons” to guests for luggage.

The location was perfect! And Sandrine was so helpful in securing transportation for my SIL and I to the airport at the end of our stay. They were quick to refill our Nespresso and towels (within 5 min!) Couldn't recommend this more!

Everything was grand -- if I were to provide any feedback it would be to have more coffee in the room or offer that as an additional option ;)

Close to attractions, clean area, friendly customer service made you feel welcome.. Would recommend this hotel to friends. Value for my money was ok but a little pricey maybe for some.

I know it is out your control but walking up the stairs with luggage was a challenge especially and maybe for elders it may be difficult. I didn’t mind using the stairs but wondering if there is an elevator at all for older people. Thinking of coming to Quebec again with my mother. My husband and I were overall happy with our stay.
