Lovely being so close to the water. The original design of the space is well thought out, especially having a door out to the lake. The room and bed were cosy and comfy and it was surprisingly quiet overnight.

This is actually a lovely and peaceful place to stay and I'd stay again. But it's a little worn out and tired feeling. My bedside lights wouldn't work, and the toilet clunked somehow (it was solid enough, but very loud to get on and off). The info folder is very out of date, so lots of the resturant brochures etc were no longer current. It just needs a little bit of fresh energy moving through and some mini tweaks!

My mum and I needed an overnight stay to catch up with relatives, this was perfect and a great price. Roomy, clean and comfortable with the convenience of a kitchenette and fridge containing free bottles of water and biscuits with the tea making facilities. Parking right outside our room. Nicely positioned by the Lake. The owners communicated well as I booked through booking.com. Our carpet had just been cleaned. Just up the road from Halakulani Bowls Club where we had a delicious dinner. Convenient distance into town to an excellent Cafe (name containing a number) has delicious breakfast ideas and friendly service. The coffee was good, and we were given free treats to try.

A place chosen because of its location to a party we attended. It was pleasant location, clean and tidy though a few things required a handyman. Our door was hard to open and close. A little friendlier staff greeting would have been nice. Location near the river was great.

A warmer greeting and farewell by Steve would have been pleasant. He showed that it was just a job. I get it but when your business relies on repeat visits ? It was a Motel and I was pleased with what it offerred

This is an old style single level motel, we love staying in them because we can drive right up to the door on street level… Open up the door and unload.👍🏼 The lady in charge was delightful, offering to assist in many ways.. She was super efficient and most helpful. The Hibiscus was fantastic as once you walk into the room you notice a patio leading out to the lake at the back it’s beautifully positioned and private. A must is to stroll off on a gorgeous walk along the lake track, then with a wine in the evening to just chill out … An easy walk close by to pick up foods to your liking. The room is spacious with sofas, comfy beds and clean linens. Micro, kettle and utensils. Iron and hairdryer… all spotless. Good value for our two nights restup…

Great location, friendly staff. Its an older style motel but the rooms have been refurbished and modernised to good standard. Good value for money. Welcome water bottles and biscuits was a nice touch. Beds comfortable.

Cleaners appeared to do bare minimum of cleaning during stay for example floors were not vacuumed despite sand on floor and shower tray wasn't cleaned.

A beautiful location by the river and a lovely walk along the river boardwalk and over the bridge to the lovely local hotel and other eateries. Also a short drive or easy walk to supermarket and other conveniences in the opposite direction. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a lovely view of the river outside our window which lead onto a covered deck. The room was much more inviting than we expected as the outside of the hotel needs some work to add street appeal.

The owner was not in the most wonderful mood when I checked in and the outside of the hotel rooms could do with some updating BUT the interior was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had everthing we needed for a relaxing night.

The staff was lovely, the room was clean the beds were super comfortable, the wifi worked great, tv reception was good too. The view of the lake was lovely being able to open the doors and watch the rain and lightning from the comfort of our room was amazing.

No one’s fault but the reception if you’re with Optus isn’t great, and the static sound from the powerlines isn’t fabulous if you’re quite sensitive to it. The building is a touch dated I guess.

We received a courtesy call from the manager to confirm our arrival time. Even though we were arriving slightly earlier than the standard checkin time, he kindly agreed to have our room ready so we could get in straight away. We got a warm welcome on arrival and checked in as promised. The room was spacious and bright, with a good sized bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to the next time.

it's an exceptional place to stay. Budgewoi is our favourite place for short holidays away from Sydney and the Hibiscus Lakeside Motel is definitely the reason for that. beautiful location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice staff. the view from the rooms is incredible. as a bonus suggestion try this activities: have a walk/jog along the lake. it's beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Also, book a dinner at La Bocca, just a 5 min walk from the hotel. if you're a fan of Italians, then don't miss it.

The room was so well kept - absolute value for money. Location was perfect, short walk to the shops and a 3 minute drive to the camp site with all the kids facilities that the rest of my family was staying at. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure we got our keys as we were arriving very late. The view of the lake outside our room was unobstructed and very relaxing. Parking on site just outside your hotel door.

The Motel is very hard to fault. It is ABSOLUTE value for money in a great central location. Budgewoi isn't an area where you stay indoors - you go on outdoor adventures! So considering all factors, the motel really does its job and provides a safe, clean and comfortable room to sleep, shower and rest. The lake view just outside your door is an added bonus.
