Clean and tidy room, styled nicely and plenty of room. Lots of care taken with details (microwave, dinnerware, plates, mini fridge, tea, coffee biscuits kettle...), Lots of power points. bed was comfortable, rooms are quiet - didn't hear any noise from adjoining rooms. i worked during one of the days there and was able to do so comfortably.

view was of roof tops and vents and stuff - so not really pleasant to look out at but there is absolutely nothing that they could do about it - just where it's situated!

The venue has recently been tastefully renovated with premium fixtures, a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. Includes mugs for hot drinks - not small cups, a good supply of tea, coffee and sugar, a hairdryer, makeup mirror, fridge, iron and ironing board, TV and free wifi. Room and entrance security is also well taken care of. No checkout is required either, just leave your key in the room and be left by 11 am on the morning of your departure

The room I was supplied was up a fair few stairs. I'm not sure if there were many ground floor units, so it would pay to ask if a ground floor unit is required or preferred at the time of booking. Parking is not secure and was open to passing pedestrian traffic which was a concern. When I went to leave, there was a half-finished beer bottle at my back wheel, so it was obvious my vehicle wasn't secure during the night.

Easy to find close to shops. Hotel had bar and restaurant so didnt have to go find place to eat. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The pillows were flat. The shower sprayed towards the door wetting all floor area around toilet as well. Had to use partners towell on floor so we didnt slip so he didnt have towell ti shower in the morning. Would have been nice if they put extra towels in bathroom. We did let them know but they were already aware of the problem.

very clean. Had a bistro if you didn’t want to leave the hotel once youd arrived. also other eating places nearby. i love history and old buildings and it seemed to me to have been a very Grand hotel in its day. it is directly opposite the train station and i imagine msny holiday makers in the past would have arrived by train. The modern renovations were made with much consideration for the age of the hotel. Very nice. congratulations to the renovators.

There wasn’t much room at all to put your luggage. The bathroom was quite compact - my partner and I are reasonably average size so OK but i think for larger people it may have felt a bit of a squeeze. I didn’t like the hand basin being in the bedroom - it obviously allowed the room to be more compact. Hard to access the waste bin in the cupboard under the basin.

We liked it very much. Perfect location, comfy sleep, quiet and all good. The rooms were very quiet and had everything we needed for a couple o nights.

things were a little ... the grate in the bathroom floor was broken and sunk into the space. The fan in the bathroom didn't work - so smell and mist was an issue, the dispense in the bathroom was very dodgy. Needs attending too.

The room was cosy, clean, nice shower and very comfortable bed. The biscuits provided were great with a cup of tea or coffee. With a restaurant and bar downstairs we didn’t hear a thing; great sound proof room. After a long drive the restaurant was convenient for dinner. Staff were excellent and food awesome.

With our one night stay, it was hard to fault this hotel. If I had to pick anything it would be lugging my suitcase up the stairs to the top floor.

Loved the staff, room was spacious, clean, plenty of coffee tea, parking wonderful and close. The steak was at the hotel was yummy. Coffee and breakfast place across the parking lot. Great to sit outside and enjoy a great breakfast. Had great night of sleep on a great bed.

It took a while at night for the other guests to settle, lots of slamming of the outside door.

Staff were lovely, rooms were quiet once the door closes so neighbours couldn't keep you awake with noise. The restaurant food is amazing and the train station is just across the road. The shower head is the best thing on this planet and air con is always a plus.

The room got very warm even with air conditioning on cold, reception to your phones is terrible and their smart TVs cant use youtube etc due to the bad reception (reception is not their fault, just a warning)

Very comfortable bed. Nicely set out. We had dinner downstairs and ordered steak, one of the best steaks we have had for a long time!!! Friendly staff :)

The cleanliness of the shower, walls had small hairs, and floor was dirty in corners. Shower has no door, so bathroom does get extremely wet, so you do need to take care when stepping out.

The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I was there for one night only and felt safe as a single lady travelling alone.

I didnt like the bathroom floor getting so wet having a shower, this was unavoidable. The toilet roll holder hit me in the shoulder and I would have liked a light either over the desk or on it as I had come up for a sewing retreat and doing anything at the desk - the light wasnt good.
