We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very clean and had the basics we needed for our stay. The park itself is very well laid out, great pools and water slide and fun bouncy cushion - my daughter loved it. We backed into the main road but didn’t have any trouble sleeping with road noise etc. The location is also excellent - 2 mins from the zoo and a quick drive into the centre of town. Would definitely stay again.

While the cabin had all the basics, it was the bare minimum. It would have been handy to have things like a floor mat so we weren’t bringing in mud, clothes airer for drying towels and a few spare towels (we were there during a rare wet period for Dubbo and really struggled to get anything to dry). But for the price I understand the minimal kit-out.

Access to swimming area and play activities for kids was nice. Ability to access washer + dryer/clothes line very useful. Had an issue with our initial room and were upgraded which was nice

Pool area could do with some more protective features eg anti slip protection on and around stairs - myself and my 2 yo both slipped and I saw others do the same. End of small kids slide very close to brick work - a larger child or adult with legs out could end up with spinal injury. A small swimming pool for young kids would be good (Max 1m depth) as both pools suitable for swimmers only (older kids or adults).

We liked it’s location and the size of the property. It was not too big, so it wasn’t too noisy. The staff were really lovely and accommodating. We had an issue with the kettle tripping the power in the cabin and the staff gave us a replacement, which didn’t work, so they gave me a brand new one which did. They asked me to let them know if there was still an issue when we left so they could get an electrician in to fix it, but everything was fine. It’s close to town and easy access to the zoo as well.

You can tell that it’s a bit older. But you can see that they try to maintain it as best as possible. The cleaners didn’t clean quite to “standard”, however, when I brought the issue to the attention of the reception staff they listened, noted the issue, and wrote it down for feedback to the ladies who cleaned our cabin. The reception staff appreciated the feedback.

Facilities are fantastic for children and adults had a blast with kids not only in pool but on the big pillow. Walking around the park was so nice of a nighttime everyone is friendly and atmosphere is awesome! Checking in it was nice to get to cabin and find the air-conditioning was put on for us, our car air conditioning failed not even half way into our travels so by the time we got to Dubbo we were extremely hot and sweaty cabin was so nice and cool.

Outdoor light on cabin definitely needs better lighting on decks

A fantastic stay, close to the zoo, in a really nice cabin. The park is located really well, just around the corner from the zoo, and with the town only minutes away. The cabin had everything we need for our stay - it was so well laid out that we felt we could have lived there. The bed was so comfortable too, which always makes a difference. We actually extended our stay by one night, which was not a problem for the friendly staff, who also gave us excellent advice on things to do in the area.

I can't fault this park - it was a great stay and we will stay with Discovery Parks again.

Loved the hire go karts, the pool facilities and the cabins were clean and great for our family. Proximity to zoo is great. Food at close by Westside is amazing. Bbq and outdoor areas are great.

There’s a bbq on each cabin and we got some groceries to use the facilities but didn’t get cooking spray for the bbq and unfortunately none provided or available to purchase at the property. The property is a good distance from stores so would be good to have a few things within the park available to purchase.

Excellent splash park to come back to after a day at the zoo. Short walk to Club Dubbo which had good kids meals.

Our tent was quite dirty and didn’t meet expectations of “glamping”. The tent was very close to two others with no sound barrier. Balcony on the front of the tent was very small. No dining area inside the tent so we needed to have the little ones eat outside in the cold at times.

Pool, water park, recreation room. All great. I got the deluxe tent for 6, but in summer, the tent absorbed most of the day's sun heat, it was sooo hot inside despite the fans and aircon. Once the sun sets, it was beautiful tho.. Everything else were great though, no complaints. Comfy beds, good showers, spacious, good working equipments for 'glamping', great balcony area. Also loved the coffee cart during school holidays, they're fantastic coffee.

We couldn't play in the playground and jumping carpet area because it was too hot (37-39C days when we were there) The tent material absorbed heat making the room hot.

Studio cabin was beautiful. Perfect for one person or two. Very comfortable. Everything you need. Great access and parking for vehicle. Great value for money. Staff friendly and accomodating. Just beautiful. I was travelling on my own for Uni and felt very safe and secure being myself.

Only thing missing is washing machine In cabins. That would make it even more perfect.

I swimming pool playground was a huge hit with the kids. They loved it! Easy access to the zoo. Staff was nice. Cabin and park in general was clean and neat.

The cabins were very hot. The room with the air-con was cold because we had it on high trying to cool down the rest of the cabin. It really didn't work very efficiently. We slept through some very hot nights.
