Absolutely unexpected, beautiful property with outstanding interiors and decor. This is not so much a motel and a lovely holiday villa. I am hesitant to say more as we would love to keep this place as our own secret finding. Nothing was missing to make our stay a perfect one, especially for gourmets cooks as ourselves: The kitchen missed nothing and was pristinely clean (so we left them exactly what we received). Thank you for the coffee pods as well! It was a real treat that no 2 unit was not occupied, that gave us the whole back garden to ourselves. Super clean, superb pieces of interiors, prints and artwork. Beddings incredible comfortable.

It would be awesome if there was either an outdoor tap or shower for cleaning up from the beach before entering the home. An additional corner light in the dining room would have been perfect. We shifted the bedroom standing light to add more light.

no sandals after a shower and no extra rubbish bag inside, do not.know if there have washing much or dryer, coz it's near coast, many people would love to change their suits and need to dry it, sometimes they could not keep a lot in their bag. also, suits are easy to get dirty coz the activities around the location are many about sand etc, water activities

The cottage with garden is unique and so beautiful. It is sparklingly clean and the beds are comfortable. It is quiet and includes all the amenities. It has bbq area outside and sitting the garden is relaxing. The cottage is very near to restaurants and wharfs . The owners are responsive and we enjoyed the stay a lot . Highly recommended to families visiting Nelson bay .

We had a great stay at Nelson palms. The motel has been beautifully renovated and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The location is great, being a 15-20 minute walk (or short drive) to Little Beach, Shoal Bay and the town centre/Marina. We stayed in room 2 which had a bedroom+sitting area with couch and tv, bathroom and kitchenette. We also had access to the beautiful back garden which is lovely for having meals in or chilling out after a day at the beach.

Some aspects of the cleanliness could be improved, mainly in the bathroom. We didnt like that the doona was covered by 2 flat sheets instead of a doona cover. This feedback was passed on to the owner. Our tv antenna also didnt work well which meant I had to watch the tennis final on my phone. These were all minor issues which I am sure the new owner will look to improve upon.

The room was very well presented and tastefully designed. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The owners were diligent and made sure we were able to get our key cards. Nelson palms is in a great location and we would definitely stay here again.

The floors felt a bit dirty/greasy under barefoot and there was a dirty/ stained area in the bathroom where the walkway is.

The room was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. The garden was a lovely restful space. The motel is close to Little Beach and places to eat. Shannon was friendly and very helpful.

The motel is on the main road and traffic noises were a problem during peak hours. However we just shut the door and turned on the air conditioning until the busy time was finished.

Fantastic motel! Rooms exceptionally clean with very comfy beds and linen. Rooms appear to have been recently decorated with a nice touch. Very helpful staff that even lent me a phone charger when I'd forgotten mine. Parked right in front of the room and motel perfectly positioned within walking distance of both shoal bay and Nelson bay.

Shannon the owner was so lovely and hospitable. The space that the owners have created was beautiful, they truly have thought of everything. As a family with small children space was important, and the private yard provided a safe and secure place to play. The outdoor dining area was also fantastic.

Bathroom needs updating Shower major concern too small for anyone above 6ft or on the larger size. Basin too small even for washing your face thankfully there is a laundry sink close by

The room was comfortable and clean. We did not meet the staff as we were sent the key lock number via whats app. There was a club just 5mins walk away to eat dinner and breakfast with really good choices on the menu.

The location. It was right in the main road and our chalet was next to the road so a bit noisy.
