I have stayed at De Russie 3 times now and it is my go-to accommodation in Orange. It is a very well appointed boutique hotel with quality inclusions. The building is two-storey with a lift to the upper floor and very tastefully decorated. The rooms have a kitchen area and breakfast is provided. The beds are very comfortable with high quality linen and bedding. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. It is a 1 min walk to the main street and only a short walk to cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend staying at De Russie.

Breakfast bag contents were excellent. There was bread for toasting, high quality spreads, high quality cereals, pear and apricot juice bottles as well as tea and coffee, etc. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they even kept an eye on our caravan from time to time while it was parked in a public car park near by.

Not sure that there is anything to complain about without doing so for the sake of it. Overall it is a great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff who keep the place clean and in good condition.

The room was spacious and well equipped with a fridge and two hobs together with crockery and cutlery so that one could do some self catering. The location was central so that it was easy to access downtown Orange.

As I'm disabled I asked for a room close to an elevator. When I booked I was told that there would be 3 steps to get to your room, there were 4 steps. What the hotel didn't say was that there rooms with no steps, in fact most rooms were "step free". Also the hotel has no parking spaces for 'blue badge' holders. Guests are given a "breakfast bag" so that they can prepare a light breakfast for themselves in their room. Included in this was bread, butter and spreads and muesli, the latter being no good for anyone with a nut allergy. There was no choice of cereal and there is nobody on reception until 8.30am

This hotel is in an excellent location, in a quiet side street but close to the main shopping area. It has a very nice ambience, is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The small little kitchenettes in each room are well stocked and the complementary breakfasts much appreciated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if visiting Orange.

nothing really. Parking is first come first served so one night we missed out but the street is very easy and safe.

From the receptionist Chante who was gorgeous to the decor it felt like a really lovely place. The room was fabulous from the gorgeous crisp white sheets, really great fluffy pillows, luxurious products in the bathroom to the fabulous kitchenette and the wonderful continental breakfast as well they supplied skim milk which is so rare.

I do have a pet hate for the shower being over a bath. Having had double knee replacement surgery I am super anxious about stepping into a bath with little or no handles to grab onto and this showrer/bath had no handles.I did grab the soap holder however, it twisted so it was a very short shower. The towels were a good size and white and fluffy.

The kitchenette was very useful and the breakfast delightful. Loved the 150ml milk containers which we have not previously encountered. Good location.

While the use of a laundry was a blessing, it really needed a sink and some lay by room and washing baskets so that completed washing and drying of others’ washing could be removed and set aside when the stuff wasn’t collected; as is always the case in public laundries.

When in Orange I always stay at de Russie. It's a very welcoming and comfortable boutique hotel with excellent facilities. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is provided and there is a kitchenette as an added extra. Easy walk to bars and restaurants. Fabulous staff and fabulous place to stay.

Easy checkin and out, the staff were great. Bed was super comfy and the mini breakfast bags were a really nice touch! Rooms are quiet and well ventilated. Hotel is in a great location for exploring orange

I would expected higher end toiletries in the bathroom at a hotel of this level. The doors also need to be pulled shut - they dont fire latch, so it would be good to highlight that to visitors.(we came back to find our door was left open becuase we just pulled it to - this may have been a safety feature though as we were in an accessible room)

From the moment Michael greeted us at reception until we left our experience staying here was fantastic. He was so helpful with suggesting places to eat and places to visit. The room was of a very high standard, spacious, very clean and the breakfast bag each day was exceptional. It is in a fantastic location - easy walking distance to enjoy all that Orange has to offer.

The property is very well located with lots of things within walking distance. But also a great base to explore the local area.The manager and reception was very helpful with ideas and suggestions of places to go. The property is very clean and the continental breakfast was a very nice touch. Would highly recommend and definitely look forward to staying again.
