Located right opposite Hyde Park, the Hyde Park Inn offers splendid views of the park and Elizabeth St (especially if your room is located on one of the upper levels in which case you can even see the Sydney Harbour bridge in the far corner & part of Sydney's beautiful skyline with the beautiful ANZAC memorial in the foreground). This means you're located close to all the major spots in Sydney CBD with excellent access to public transportation: bus stop less than a minute way & the St. James & Museum train stations just a few minutes' walk. Car parking was also included in the booking (you'll need to request a 1-use voucher from the reception) but I didn't use it this time. The studio room I stayed in was reasonably spacious & had a Queen bed as well as a smaller bed right next to it. Everything was neat & clean as you'd expect in any 4-star property). Staff were quite good & professional. A light continental breakfast (fruit juice, portions of fruit, full cream milk & 4 slices of bread) was included.

Netflix didn't seem to work on the SmartTV in the room but it did have Amazon Prime, Stan, youtube & a whole host of other options. In hindsight, this wasn't such a bad thing given that there was so much to do outdoors at such a great location in Sydney.

My room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking Hyde Park. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom clean and well designed. The shower was great. The room had a lot of natural light, and good blinds to keep it dark in the morning. Good long desk with chair, and good Wifi. The location is outstanding in the middle of the CBD, opposite Museum Station with direct line to airport, and easy transport by train or bus to Circular Quay, Opera House, Darling Harbour, ferries, restaurantants, cafes and all Sydney attractions. Plenty of well-placed power sockets, USB ports and lights. I was upgraded for no extra cost to a larger room with extra beds and a kitchen, complete with 2 burner hotplates, sink, lots of benches as well as fridge, kettle and toaster, also basic cooking equipment as well as crockery and cutlery etc, table and chairs overlooking Hyde Park.

The included breakfast left in the room was very basic, just a sachet of Corn Flakes, 2 pieces of sliced bread, 2 sachets of butter and jam, individual pack of fruit juice and stewed fruit. Milk and tea bags etc were provided as usual. However it was all right.

We preferred this hotel for second time in Sydney CBD. Perfect Location in CBD, just opposite Museum Metro Station, from where you could travel to any part of the city. Bus-stops just a few steps away from Hotel. Convenience stores and Cafes all around. Coles a few block away. Best part is that each family rooms had balcony that overlooked Hyde Park and Memorial monument and excellent open view of skyline. Good sound proofing that keeps out traffic noise of Museum junction. Breakfast supplies in room, so we could prepare and eat anytime. Our main comfort was the self-service Laundry facility at the hotel which is a necessity for long stays. Everything from location to facilities were excellent considering the price.

The Beds were too soft which can lead to backache. Deep cleaning of sofa and other room facilities required after each guest stay.

Great location, easy access from the airport, metro station really close, very nice park in front of the hotel. Close to many shops and food places

Very friendly staff, a great location to both downtown and the airport. It is very easy to get to by train with the train stop across the street from the hotel. Big room with nice views of the park. I'd stay there again!

The hotel provided breakfast which was nice but it was low quality. Simple white bread and fruit cups, etc. Higher quality products like a bagel, whole grain breads and fresh fruit would be marginally more expensive but would have been an excellent touch.

Great location right in the CBD - close to restaurants, bars, cafes and train station across the road. Coles and 7eleven nearby as well. Good size two bedroom apartment suitable for family. Apartment also came with living room, big kitchen and dining area.Clean and tidy with great room service. Includes undercover car park with 24/7 access. Neat and clean apartment. Kitchen comes with stove, toaster, kettle, microwave and decent size fridge. Museum train station across the road - 2 stations to Circular Quay (harbour Bridge and Opera house). Will stay again - highly recommended.

Included breakfast is quite basic but plenty of options nearby. Car park entry is quite tight and have to leave car keys at reception all the time. Lifts gets busy in morning and only one lifts can access car park. Elizabeth Street is quite busy most of the time and one can hear buses quite early in the morning.

The family room was a good size and with a nice bathroom. Also the little kitchenette had a table and chairs for us to sit down on.

The girl on the reception. She was extremely rude - seemed to be only able to 'grunt' - couldn't put a sentence together it seemed and just never smiled. A horrible way to start our visit. We checked in on the late evening on the 18th December - would be good for the Manager to move this person away from reception. She clearly hates her job. Sharon, on the other hand, couldn't have been more helpful.

Great budget accomodation for our family of five, comfortable beds and linen. Older decor but clean. We found location excellent in the middle of CBD. It’s a 20minute walk to circular quay or darling harbour. Parking is provided. Close 8 minute walk to Capital theatre. Easy check in. So much milk and breakfast snacks provided. Clean towels every day. Small kitchen very handy.

Building is a little tired and could do with a refresh. Parking is tight so once your in easier to stay as it would be hard to come and go frequently.

The continental breakfast delivered to the room each day was a satisfactory start to each day, consisting of fruit juice, preserved fruit, cereal, bread for toasting, butter, various spreads, tea, coffee, microwave, jug & toaster. The room contained a seated area, table and chairs for meals, 2 beds, plenty of hanging space and storage. The hotel is opposite Hyde Park, close to Museum Station, restaurants and shopping. I would recommend this hotel for families and those looking for a well priced hotel close to all amenities.

I have no negatives to report.

There was plenty of space to move around our room. The design-layout really optimised the space. The kitchenette was perfectly set out. We loved having bread, milk, juice and fruit delivered to our room for the continental breakfast. The beds were comfy, the view was beautiful, the fridge was bigger than other properties - large enough to put 1.25ltr bottles in it & the air con really efficient.

Really, really , minor , had to ask for extra towls, only had 1 towel each. Oh the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom was a little annoying .
