Location, staff and the suite itself.

The bed was too hard and uncomfortable for me - the second night I ended up sleeping on the lounge, for a few hours which was very comfortable.

large apartment with plenty of space. great view from 45th floor. very comfortable and large beds. great pillow selection. good bathrooms with a huge spa bath. great bathrobes. TVs in every room. good wifi. large warm spa beside the pool.

the lifts !!! undergoing renovation but only 1 or 2 of the 3 were working. Large queues almost every time which frustrates many travellers. These need to be fixed ASAP as it is not cheap accommodation and most customers expect more. The swimming pool is big and nice indoor setting but it was freezing!! please heat it. The location beside the town hall is really convenient to shops and transport but most nights were really noisy. Bring ear plugs.

Great position in Sydney. Close to light rail and Town Hall station. Lots of places close by to eat. Supermarket and bottle shop is on the same block. Nice view from our 43rd floor room. Beds are a little on the hard side but some people prefer that. Great size bathroom with a deep bath if that’s your thing. Didn’t try the pool but the spa temperature felt warm and I wish I’d packed my swimmers!

Cupboard doors in the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned. Looked liked coffee had been spilt down them. Mirrors also hadn’t been cleaned. Lo g wait for the lifts at times. One lift is out of service for upgrade though so not an ongoing problem. Told staff about cleaning problems on check out and they apologised to us. wasn’t important enough for us to let them know earlier.

Facilities are in pretty good condition and amenities are quite complete. Perfect for us since we are travelling with a baby and needed the kitchen to prepare her food daily. Spacious room means baby gets plenty of space moving around the room safely. Location is perfect too, very close to supermarket and nice variety of shops/attractions around the area but at the same time not noisy at all. Staff is very friendly and room service responded quite quickly even during the night.

Slow elevators (to be fair they did sent multiple email warning us so we are not really annoyed about it). At certain times only one elevator is working so it did take us a lot of time waiting for the elevator. Word of advice, try to avoid the checkout time, we tried to leave the room one day for brunch around 10am, after spending half an hour waiting for an available elevator (every elevator is absolutely full) we ended giving up and went back to the room for a quick snack instead. on checkout day we left at 9am and it was alright.

I like the location best! Washer & dryer provided was appreciated.

No cleaning in the whole duration of our stay as compared to other hotels we stayed in. Balcony & view did not meet the photos we saw upon booking, so a bit disappointed on that. Reception was good in keeping our luggages since our flight arrived morning & check in was not until 3:00pm. We found the reception a bit cold, not friendly, no smile & a bit condencending but professional. After a long cold trip all over NZ, we were hoping for a warmer reception.

The location is perfect, close to everything. Short walk to town hall train station, shops and restaurants. My son received a welcome birthday card, a box of chocolate and balloons for his birthday on arrival which made him very happy. The staff were very friendly. We were able to leave our luggage in the front desk after check out as flight was late in the afternoon. This was very helpful.

The lift can be very slow. Try to avoid the peak hours. We had to use the stairs once to get down from the 29th floor.

I’d stay here anytime (as long as the elevators were working!). Tremendous debacle with queues out the door and through the foyer waiting to get to our room. 47min wait to get an elevator from our room to the lobby, and then when we finally jammed in at maximum capacity we were on the elevator for about twenty minutes just trying to get anywhere. We were notified before arrival that work was being done and a short wait happen, but that was dangerous and scary.

Constant fear of not being able to escape if an emergency had occurred!

Front desk employees were very friendly and accommodating. Location was great as well.

Overall it was clean. But if you look closer, the tiles (grout) around the toliet, bathroom need more cleaning, and the door handles have a groove that we had to clean and get all the dirt out. Elevator wait time was quite inconvenient so hoping it gets sorted out as you did mention it was being refurbished.

Location was great. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, Darling Quarter, Chinese Gardens, Hyde Park and transport (trains, light rail, buses). And the list goes on, cinema, St Mary's Cathedral. We ate at the Sushi Restaurant beside the hotel and walked to Aware Theatre for a concert. Sightseeing the following day. Parking available in the building. Tight, but $45 for the overnight stay lasting 24hrs from arrival.

Should have booked a higher floor for a city view, not just the building next door and their pool with a nude sunbaker. Lobby around the lifts a little tight too. It's a busy area with the renovations happening, soon to be finished. Lifts, 2 or 3 operating sometimes, a little slow. They seemed to give a preference to people leaving Level 21 to higher floors, even when on a descent.

Flexibilities - delaying my check out time for us - much appreciated for it as we really needed in that morning. Laundry facilities- was able to wash and dry my clothes as needed Overall, me and my kids were very happy staying for two nights and will not hesitate in staying at Meriton suites again.

These are minor issues that I had noticed during my stay, but thought I will share these to cotribute to service improvement and enhancing consumer experiences. 1.Chairs ( dining chairs and living area sofa) with dirty stains - the first thing I had noticed as I put my bags down on the table. Reminded me of dirtied chairs in aged care facilities. Not a good look. Need a good cleaning 2.Leaking dishwasher - water on the floor near dishwasher -however fixed and explained by a maintenance staff promptly - nil issue during my stay, however it did not stop me worrying about it regardless. 3.Carpet with a broken area - I believe this sort of minor jobs can be easily fixed - unsure why has not been dealt with it yet and sell the room like that. It lowers reputations. It did for me.
