I travel for a LIVING as a Travel Writer; booked this last minute at an editor's request to test the bed springs on suburbian sites around Sydney. The LOCATION was fabulous for public transport; train and bus out the front door, shopping right THERE. Eatries aplenty! BUT the TOPS for this review would have to be THE STAFF! On EVERY Shift, the folks behind the desk and in the hallway cleaning, were exceptional...

I almost always, get the sweet suite 'on the house' ... I'm spoilt but I did pay for this venue... and it reconfirmed my notion for our readership it was Good Value, GREAT Location and Tops team...

Fantastic location a stone's throw from Chatswood Metro and Train interchange, which made it easy to get to from Sydney airport. Easy and friendly check-in. Quiet room, comfortable bed. Modern decor. Handy separate kitchenette in studio room. The restaurant on site appears permanently closed, however there are plenty of restaurants and cafés in that area. We were referred to the Briskett café across the road for breakfast which was very good. Would stay here again.

No restaurant on site. Would like to see different pillows on offer (such as a contour pillow) through housekeeping.

Apartment was a great size with large living area, good size bedroom and nice kitchen. Everything was clean. Nice bed linen. Bed in bedroom was comfy and sofa bed for our kiddie was the most comfortable sofa bed we've ever come across! Really nice thick mattress.

Bathroom was pretty outdated and could use a good reno/clean up - stained silicone around edges of bathroom just made it look grotty even though it was obviously cleaned before our stay - I say obviously because the cleaners left their sponge on the benchtop! Shower only good if you're very short, or a child. Bath the same, tiny. Only other thing was there was only one spare blanket supplied and the sheets/doona already on the beds were quite thin. We got chilly during the night.

Large a spacious room with tea and coffee, balcony and excellent location very close to shops and train station. I had a conference to attend. The dinner was one block away and the conference venue only three blocks away. There was a laundry in the bathroom as well.

Only had free to air channels, no ability to Chromecast to the television. The laundry sink tap was dripping and had a very bad smell.

Ultra convenient, large 1 bedroom apartment. Large floor windows. Close to train/metro station and shopping mall (Westfield and Chatswood chase, plenty of restaurants and bars. Parking around the property is ok after hours (After 6pm and before 8am is free on street (pay attention to signs) Always found a car spot easy enough on Brown street closer to highway 1-2 minute walk from front entrance. Saves on the $25 hotel car park fee. Parking during the day limited to meter. Its nice that the place is a little smaller than some of the other apartment hotels in Chatswood. Has a slight feel of actually staying in a residential apartment block. In room washer and dryer in 1 bedroom apartment is very handy and in good working order.

Water pressure in shower not very strong at all, no plug to use bath so just put up with the low pressure semi-soak. Attached restaurant/bar seems to have gone bust during covid as was not open during 1 week stay. However plenty of places immediately near hotel. Not many communal areas outside of your room but does the job. Kitchen supplies included only 1 fry pan, not a saucepan to boil and egg or any additional cooking pans. Most people seem to order uber eats. The hotel staff are efficient but not very chatty.

Close to the interchange, which made it easy to get around Sydney, and close to food and shopping. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely clean, comfortable accommodation with the bonus of access to a pool and gym.

Our toaster didn't work. But we forgot to tell staff until checkout. They were helpful with everything else so probably would have sorted this if we had let them no sooner.

It was a neatly arranged and maintained apartment. Our stay was wonderful, and we were close to everything. The best location in Chatswood, in my opinion—everything is just a short stroll away. We appreciate the friendly care we had from the personnel, especially the gal at the front desk who went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. We will return soon

Comfortable beds. Clean room. Everything worked. Location is good, very close to Chatswood train station. Liked being able to open the door to the small balcony.

Moldy smell in hallway, short of complementary tea and coffee when we arrived. Very limited crockery and cutlery. Room was small with only one comfortable chair. We wanted an umbrella because of bad weather but the Mantra didn't have one.

Good sized room for our family, more like a serviced apartment size as opposed to the smaller offerings from most hotels. Perfect location close enough to the train station and shops, but far enough that it is still very quiet. Reception staff were very friendly and mostly manned apart from when they are doing their rounds.

Internet was down for a day, they accidentally double charged me, but Rachel and Alana were quick to rectify after I pointed it out when checking the credit card statement.

Loved Mantra in Chatswood. Good sized apartment, conveniently located and good facilities at a reasonable price.

Booking.com offered me a 10% discount but it was nonsense. I did not get the discount. Instead after booking I was offered another 10% discount. Not the hotels fault, they are great.
