it was quiet, clean & checking in and out was quick & easy. mum and i had our own beds which is hard to find these days, we had a kitchenette & a big window to watch the world go by. location is A++ - starbucks directly across road, also tram stop, paddys markets, chinatown and 7-Eleven. only couple blocks walk back to central station. The staff were so nice & helpful & held my bags as I had an early morning appointment the next day & they let mum stay in the room til checkout.

mum is 73 and the shower is a bath combo so she wanted a shower but couldn't because she can't climb into the bath recess. only one night so wasn't a huge issue she just had shower when she got home to wollongong.

Attention to service: very responsive to our needs and requests, always with a smile. Location: close to great food and entertainment/attractions and great public transport services right out the front door to get around the city. Very clean facilities, although there was often a nasty smell in the hall/lift.. I suspect from guests and their food/BO but needs to be kept on top of. Overall it was excellent value for money, we appreciated the opportunity to pay less to not having regular cleaning, as we were perfectly capable of doing it ourselves.

The view was very ordinary.

Conveniently located at the top of China Town. A LOT of food and drink options in the area. The room was nice and spacious and I was able to check in early and leave late with my Accor Loyalty Program membership. A reasonable place to stay when on a moderate budget in Sydney.

The TV was very old with no 'smart' options (ie. Netflix, etc). The wifi connection was ok, but the speeds weren't great and I didn't have very good cell coverage in my room, so hot-spotting wasn't an option.

I loved the location and felt safe although I didn't venture out in the evening. I loved being able to walk around Chinatown, Paddys Markets and the Darling Harbour precinct. I found having the light rail station outside the hotel great to get up and back to Circular Quay and the stop offs along the way. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The only thing I could remark upon was the bathroom which could do with a thoughtful upgrade.

Exceptional stay at Mantra Sydney Central! Prime strategic location, steps away from public transport, and key landmarks like the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and museums. Seamless accessibility via public transport made exploring the city a breeze. The staff's warmth and efficiency added to the delightful experience. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers!

Housekeeping comes with a cost.

Super central and close to the tram line! Very easy to get to and the staff were so lovely and helpful! Broke one of our our double beds into two singles which was very helpful! They also were very good at communicating with us and were able to allow us access to multiple levels as we had people staying on multiple levels.

The only downside was the smell in the lifts / the lobby - was a bit unpleasant.

The location was fantastic, and the apartment was great too. The beds were really comfortable and there was a balcony. The location though, in particular, was perfect - right in Chinatown next to Market City, and a light rail stop on the doorstep that took just over ten minutes to get to Circular Quay, for example.

The fridge in our apartment didn't work, so we weren't able to make use of this. The staff were helpful and offered to us that we could store things in the staff fridge at reception, but this didn't seem worth the fuss to us. The price was also a little expensive, but understandable, given the location and competition!

Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with a comfortable bed. Good air-con.

The shower being over the bath was awkward and the screen let water into the bathroom. The room, bathroom included could do with a bit of modernisation. Kitchen area was very small, no oven and having to request pans from reception was a little awkward. A little pricey for what it was. No in room laundry facilities. No access to WiFi

The location is super convenient, near two tram lines and many shops. The kitchen is tight but works for us. You need to request for pots and pans, but it is otherwise well equipped w dishes and cutlery, including things you wld need to prep food and wash up.

We had a room on the 5th floor and didn't mind the noise from the trams. Tbh buskers are louder, but they do stop by 11pm.

The room was very clean and tidy. The staff were responsive and called us when our room was ready, as we arrived well before check in. The were very helpful with storing our bags.

The bath mat was too small and it would have been nice to have a couple more face clothes. Extra pillowcases for the spare pillows would have also been appreciated. We had intentions to cook breakfast in the room but without a pan, the stove was effectively useless so some cooking utensils would have given the room better value for money. It would have also been nice to have some things available for purchase through the mini fridge.
