We stayed the one night in April 2023. It's a brand new hotel slotted into an older building, a great location just on the edge of Chinatown, Thai town and George Street. Very handy to all the things in the city centre including a tram stop outside and short walk to Central Station. Being brand new everything was in excellent order, good quality and very comfortable.

They have a setup where you use a computer tablet to enable you to watch television, radio and other things. We had a quick go at it but couldn't be bothered to try and figure it out, it seemed a little too much hassle to bother with just to listen to music or have the news on. I'm sure it probably worked but the learning curve to get it going was too much for us.

Liked the remodel, especially the bathroom. Bed very comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. Staff lovely and friendly. Moved to a quieter room after having aircon noise the first night, which was much appreciated. Nice and secure with card access to hotel and to use the lift. Being not tech savvy we felt at a bit of a loss as to how to access wifi, TV and tablet in room, and having no phone we went to reception where the young man was extremely helpful and set it up for us.

Was unusual to enter, then go to the 2nd floor for reception and sign ourselves in on a screen, but staff were there to help and provide hotel information.

I found the room to be a decent size and well appointed. The furnishings and fittings were new and of good quality. The bed was comfortable and the water in the shower was hot with good pressure. The staff were friendly and attentive. I also liked that I could cast from my phone to the in-room television.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, because I had a short turn around between finishing work and catching a flight. To access the hotel, I had to ring an intercom and wait for someone to open the door - which was a hassle I didn't need when I was already tired and had limited time. I then had to check myself in using a computer terminal - once again a hassle I didn't need when I was tired. I would have also preferred a full breakfast rather than a continental.

Location was great; close to Chinatown eateries, trams right at the front door, and within walking distance of the CBD. Capitol Square car park is right next door, easy to find, and with a discounted rate for guests. Room was trendy & clean, bed & pillows were comfortable, and bathroom was a good size. Staff were lovely from calling to confirm my booking, through to check in & check out.

Only downside for me was no wardrobe in the room to hang clothing. There were a couple of knobs on the wall that could be used for coat hangers but I couldn’t locate a hanger in the room to use. Otherwise no complaints!

I was greeted by an amazingly friendly staff member who helped with self check-in and arranged for a room upgrade. All staff were fantastic, helping with any questions I had. The room was a decent size, very clean and had plenty of power points available for use. The hotel itself is meters away from Sydney's light rail and right next to the Capitol Theater. Its only a short walk or light rail ride to shopping and various food options.

No deal breakers here, just small inconveniences. No opening windows is a shame, but not unexpected. Shower took a while to heat up. Air conditioner only goes down to 19 degrees which led to quite a toasty first night

No answer from the reception when I rang at 12am. We arrived near midnight. We wanted to sleep right away. We could not find the remote control to TV and the TV screen does not turn off when you press the power button. It automatically turns on after a couple of mins which was very annoying. We called reception and no one answered. But we eventually found the remote. Some regular amenities such as toothpaste and toothbrush need to be ordered (though it's for free) before it can be delivered to your room. Well, you get what you paid for..

Check in was a breeze & a room was available when I arrived at 11am which was a bonus. Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Light rail was right outside the hotel, I used it to travel to the Hordern Pavilion. Shopping centre was a short walking distance with plenty of options to eat out close to the hotel. Blockout curtains worked well. Free use of the coffee machine for guests in the lobby area.

Pillows were great for propping yourself up, but personally too high and firm. I got a replacement from housekeeping but was only slightly better. Staff did mention that they were in the process of different options for pillows/new supplier. Light rail could be heard from the room if you’re a light sleeper. Bathroom was a little small with the toilet almost touching the wall on one side.

Fantastic location and within walking distance to everything but if you aren't up for walking the light rail is 20m away. The room was great, super comfy bed, nice hot shower, lounge and a desk which was great as I was there for work. Wifi was easy to connect to and stream from. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to coming back with my family as they have a room big enough for 5 which is hard to find in Sydney. This will be my go to hotel in the future.

Nothing not to like.

Loved the attentive and friendly staff! They gave us wonderful recommendations where to go too which really enriched our stay in Sydney. Also the location is perfect for us. 7 min walk from the central station, 1 minute from the tram and surrounded by "Little Bangkok" with fantastic food options and in walking distance to so many great shopping places like the Queen Victoria Building. We'd come again!

I'd have liked shower gel instead of soap.

Central location, closse to cebtral train station (less than 10 minutes walk). Close to trams and central. Staff were lovely beds comfy and rooms very clean. We stayed in the king rooms which were a good size for a city hotel.

Area lacked good coffee places or eateries which were not asian. The area has many asian restaurants. You needed to get to other areas within 10-15 minutes walking distance to get coffee or other food options
