The naming of each room was based on local dogs, which was neat. The location was great. We learned during our stay that the hotel is a walk away from many interesting bars. Short walk away from the train station to get to downtown Sydney.

There were no elevators on the property, so we needed to lift bags up the staircase. Was a bit hot, especially at night, as there was no air conditioning in the room. Kept the windows open, but that allowed the sound to travel from the bar downstairs, which made it more difficult to sleep for those who are light sleepers. Would have been great to have a fan..

Lovely friendly staff, who were very chatty and helpful despite the bar being very busy. It was a Saturday night after all and I can see why it’s a very popular venue. We enjoyed the good food on offer and an excellent range of beers in the bar which had a really fun and happy atmosphere. A very convenient location for the Enmore Theatre, serviced by good public transport links. It’s also a very beautiful building.

A little bit noisy at the very end of the night (but not for too long) and our room didn’t have a blind on the main window which we didn’t notice until too late for anyone to do anything about, so we were awoken by the sun earlier than we would have liked, but I’m being picky here. We mentioned this on check out and the staff member we spoke to was surprised to hear it and hoped it hadn’t spoiled our stay.

The Erko is one of the best pubs in Sydney. The accommodation was great. The room was simple cozy but not cramped, and perfect for a solo traveller. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and even offered to carry my bike up into my room. Outside the pub a large rainbow+trans flag was displayed proudly which sets a beautiful tone for the kind of welcoming space you're entering. Shared facilities were good and clean, though not amazing. The presence of bath tubs was a nice surprise! Food at the pub was great with a wide selection of beers on tap. I thought they were joking when they said there was room service, but there was no joke! The Erko is in an amazing location, one of the best suburbs of Sydney, and perfectly located for travelling cyclists such as myself, with close connections to major cycling routes, trains and a short 20-30min ride to the airport.

If you're a bigot or hate people having a good time, you might be triggered.

Travelling to Sydney for a 1 night stay with my two teenagers to see a show at the Enmore Theatre, the Erko was perfectly placed. It was a short 10 minute walk to and from the venue. We had a nice lunch in the family-friendly pub before checking in, and the kids loved seeing all the cute puppies who were also welcome in the bar. The accommodation was great value for money, clean, comfortable, easily accessible after hours and quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

everything!

no air conditioning. My stay worked because I was lucky with weather. Would be hard to say it was comfortable stay in extreme conditions. also parking wasn’t clear to me when I booked. Even though I found a way around it. I actually planned to use the train on my stay. But ended up driving around during the day instead. Not totally on the venue for me not doing enough research. It actually wasn’t a problem in the end. But was the first thing on my mind when I turned up.

Staff was very friendly and very happy to help. The bathroom facilities were very efficient. Fantastic location!! Very comfy beds

There was some stains on the top sheet, I hate to say it but kind of looked like a mould stain or could have been fabric softener ( I don't know if they use that) and the room did smell like pets had lived in there. But everything else was lovely we would stay again

The Erko is one of my fave places to stay. Yes, it's a pub, and yes, the bathrooms and kitchens are shared spaces. But that doesn't bother me in the slightest because I love the inner west old-style pub vibe. And the rooms are super comfortable and have everything that I need. Plus the location rocks, as does the food and the super friendly staff and locals. What's not to love?

Checkin was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were surprisingly well maintained and clean. Very short walk to Enmore theatre. Not much noise late at night, which is unusual for a pub hotel.

There is no dedicated parking, but on weekdays the street parking is effectively free from 4pm to 10am. Would have been nice to get clear directions about this before checkin.

Great place to stay. It’s our third visit. The food is excellent, a wonderful range of beers in the lovely bar and the staff are very friendly. We’ve stayed in a range of rooms here, all of which have had very comfortable beds to sleep in.

I can’t fault the place, really.
