It is right in the middle of Newtown which is great. And so close to the train station. We came for the women's world cup and the location made it very easy to get to the games. Fantastic food and bars close by. The staff were very nice and accommodating. And the hotel and area is very LGBTQ* friendly.

We were there for 10 days and once we had used all the coffee pods in our room they were never restocked. And at one point we needed to ask for more toilet paper. But this was somewhat our fault because we went quite a few days with the do not disturb sign on because we didn't think the cleaners needed to bother with us. But once we took it off, the beds were always turned down and towel replenished. but not the coffee...

Staff were super friendly and the building itself was well maintained. Being situated in Newtown means it's near a plethora of interesting venues and great eateries, as well as being only minutes away from the train station. Would happily stay there again.

Though it was something they couldn't help, there was a period where the internet went out for the whole building, meaning WI-FI and the television facilities (Netflix, Stan, YouTube) were all out of action, which made the evenings relaxing in bed with the intention of watching TV non-existent.

Having never been to Newtown before we were a little unsure what to expect, the room itself was totally fine poky, but fine. Location was great, we had a concert at the Enmore theatre and it was a 5 min walk away as were a never ending collection of pubs, restaurants etc. If you think you're getting a 5 star hotel, you're wrong but if you need somewhere to fall asleep after a couple of nights having in fun in Newtown this ticks that box easily would stay there again.

The room wasn't huge, but I suspect Newtown probably isn't full of massive Hotels anyway (you want that, go to another part of Sydney I suppose). Some people might moan about the size or that the amenities were a bit low-rent but it's totally serviceable. What it lacked for in size I think it made up for in friendly staff and location. The street/car noise was a bit loud overnight, but it wasn't terrible.

The best part about our stay was the bed. It was firm but was so comfortable. I wanted to take it home. The pillows were lovely too. We liked the covering on the floor. It felt smooth under-foot. We chose the hotel for its location and we were able to walk to fantastic restaurants and the Enmore Theatre for our show. We also scored the best FREE park for our car which we left overnight. It was only a block away. I liked having a free beer when we arrived. Cheers and thank you.

The price could have been cheaper considering that the room was small. I paid extra for the freestanding bed that we could both get into and out of without climbing over each other. The TV was a little in the way, but I managed to avoid hitting my head on it. I just thought that the room was a bit small for the price. I guess we were paying for the location.

Location and in room facilities. Friendly staff and informative text message with useful info for dining recommendations. Arrived and checked in- was treated to unexpected complimentary refreshments and snacks. We were also offered to make complimentary friendship bracelets in the lobby for the Taylor Swift concert. My daughter was absolutely blown away the hotel was all on board with the swift phenomenon that was taking over the city. Her words “best hotel ever, can we please come back here”

Nothing I didn’t like

Love the location and variety of local bars, cafes, restaurants, outlets and proximity to CBD and beaches. Staff are awesome and accommodating esp ref room supplies and adjusting check in/out times. Excellent welcome drink, pod coffee, teas. Great booking for family or group. Private parking available. Lounge, slide doors, outdoor area, two bathrooms (twin showers in ensuite), kitchenette. Air con was great in the beautiful heat of day and colder nights. Wifi and smart tv. Able to receive food delivery without issue.

Strange burning smells in evening, assuming from adjoining/street restaurants. Oddly, side tables only on one side of beds in both rooms. Quite slow lifts especially at peak times. No tissue boxes in room? A pool would be an ultimate plus, although outdoor cushions/mattresses were wet. Was not able to use GooglePay/ApplePay wallet for prepayment/online nor able to tap on site. Had to provide card details to charge room. Parking is paid on arrival - assuming due to availability.

The first room I was placed in, did not meet my initial requirements. However, the staff happily exchanged, and the second room met my requirements more suitably. The location is fantastic. The challenge of course is getting parking in the area. The room was very comfortable and clean in the bed although comfortable, possibly could be made more comfortable with an additional mattress topper. as a solo traveler, and this time with a pet~ It’s so good to be able to say stay somewhere central, and feel like the environment, staff and fellow guests were welcoming!

The first room I was placed in, although the windows were open for the purpose of fresh air, was caught closely, located to the large industrial bins, and so had a potential to be noisy and a little bit smelly. As mentioned, the staff had no problem, relocating me.

The staff were polite, friendly and helpful and the location for us was superb as we were visiting a relative in Newtown. Thehotel had excellent access to a prompt taxi service which we made much use of as my husband is disabled. The room had very good facilities and after buying a toaster we were able to make our own breakfasts each morning.

The middle section of the room where the table was located could have had better lighting (It actually had none other than the bedside lamp. Provision of a toaster would be useful as we had to buy one.

We did not know where Newtown was at all - pleasantly surprised by the vibe that the Urban Newtown and Newtown itself gave. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and visiting the local area. the room was very comfortable and clean; suited us well. The staff were very attentive and helpful to our needs and requests. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The only thing may be the air-con set quite low when we first arrived - but that was easy to rectify.

Location is great!!!! never lonely, and walkable to everywhere. The vibe is great inside the building and out. Id be back for sure.

Self driving here, the parking is a bit difficult as you can only enter AFTER check in. It helps that i wasnt alone, and someone can handle the car at the back alley while i quickly run in to check in. Unless youre coming using bus/taxi then this wont be any issue. The car park was advertised at $47/day when actually its $60. Please fix that in your web.
