Garden City Motor Inn

It's one of our favourite places to stay but sadly, we weren't in a good room this time. I didn't think it was 'superior'.

I didn't like that we were in a room which joined another. The man in the next room talked really loudly through the night as well as having the tv loud, which was on our adjoining wall. My husband ended up stuffing a towel under the connecting door and then closing our door to try and make it more quiet, but it didn't help. We were planning on staying a second night, but decided not to and went somewhere else. If you look at my first photo you can see the connecting doors, next to where the television is.

A very well renovated motel for a comfortable stay. For a winter road trip, it was absolutely delightful to check in to the clean, warm rooms we had booked. Excellent showers with good pressure and constant hot water. Most comfortable mattress I had while we were away - my back was very appreciative! All the conveniences necessary for a motel room but also a few you only see in apartment accommodation. Large, interconnecting rooms great for friends/family travelling together.

Because the bathrooms have been beautifully renovated and the water pressure is so very good - you can end up with a spot too much water on the floor if you lose yourself in the magic of the relaxation of a hot shower after a hard day on the road. Just keep an eye on the direction of the shower head...and don't leave clothes on the floor too close to the doorless shower entry.

The bathroom had everything needed - shampoo, bodywash, conditioner, hand soap, shaving cream & moisture - all in push containers. Very handy for someone who forgot their supply.

The cleaners hadn't emptied the garbage from the container in the bedroom. Was disappointed that their restaurant was permanently closed - they should update their webpage, so customers understand food is not available

The size of the room was great for the solo traveler. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, although the shower had a lot of pressure. The room temperature was set at a comfortable level was great because then you didn't have to change it.

The rollers on the bed were very loose, if you touched it just lightly, you would scoot across the room.

Welcome staff very nice and friendly. Room was clean with a few exceptions. Location is quiet for traffic noise but not other guests noise.

As it was a very hot night pulled covers back off bed only to discover blood stained doona. Lucky we only needed a sheet. Got very little sleep due to other guests sitting in an alcove I assume smoking outside but we're making quite a noise until 2.30am as these were young men in early twenties and we are elderly did not want a confrontation. One man was just yelling . Only got 3 hours of solid sleep glad it was only one night.

Excellent price especially for What/Where. Pleasant Staff. Fresh milk supplied. Easy free parking and Wifi. Clean, modern, spacious & attractive Room. Fantastic Shower. Large Shower Rose immediately delivered burst of Hot water. Had a Microwave & good supply of crockery, cutlery & glasses. comfortable bed & large suitcase rack. Rooms can be Upper Level accessed by stairwell or ground level, better for older guests or any1 with heavy luggage.

Easy check in good location, big size room with 1 double bed and 1 single. the shower has amazing pressure. the bathroom has dispenser mounted on the wall with easy access to shampoo, conditioner, body wash, also moisturiser, shaving cream great plus for that.

sometimes when getting on the bed and off the beds they would roll a lot and we had to stick something under the wheels to stop it from moving. beds we’re a bit uncomfortable not the best to sleep in

The room and bathroom were a good size, clean and were well lit with multiple power points. Strong hot shower, comfortable bed. The jug, toaster and microwave came with sufficient crockery and cutlery to make breakfast /heat a meal. The clean pool was appreciated on a hot afternoon. A quiet location and moments from the walkway along the river. Very short drive into town.

Outstanding location. It was far enough back from the main highway so that it was quiet but still walking distance to the cbd. The room was huge and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was recently renovated.

The only thing I could fault was that there were no plates or cutlery provided in the room. There were glasses, wine classes and mugs with a teaspoon. So there was a toaster, but not plates or knives, no bowls for cereal or spoons, no cutlery for eating a microwaved meal, no cloth for wiping down the table etc.

Rang to advise of being late for check in.Was A freezing cold night.Aircon was running on heat when I arrived with room cosy and warm.Bathroom has recently been renovated and is modern and clean.Lovely hot shower and fresh environment.Bed was soft and clean and in no time i was off to dream land.Plenty of parking space and courtyard seemed reasonably secure.Definately stay here again

Kitchenette small but would do the job.No bed lights that I could see.
