Astor Inn

From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted and given a warm, friendly, and amiable welcome. (Compared to my stay at the Wagga Wagga International in the days before staying here). To put this into context, I am writing this review sometime later, and still remember vividly, the lovely warmth and friendliness of both concierge staff - exceptional!! The room was very basic, well planned and I loved it! Hotel is in excellent location near the station and minutes walk to the town centre.

The bathroom sink was leaking out onto the floor, but this actually did not bother me. The staff later apologised. The service, room and location by far made up for this.

Location is very convenient to railway station and the main shopping street in Wagga Wagga. The restaurant offers some nice meals. Staff, both reception and cleaners were friendly and helpful.

Noise of plumbing from other rooms was sometimes noisy but not unbearable There was some traffic noise from the Sturt Highway but, again, not unbearable.

lovely modern clean bathroom with waterfall shower the bed was sooo comfy enjoyed the coffee machine ladies at front desk were so lovely. really friendly, welcoming and helpful :) wish i got their names to mention them in this !

only downside was i couldnt find an elevator. i had 2 large bags and my room was at the top floor - however this is my fault because i didnt check before i booked!

A big thank you to Naomi at reception who went above and beyond to help our family out after our car broke down and we made an unexpected after hours trip to Wagga via tow truck. We really appreciated the care she showed us and we had a comfortable overnight stay whilst we waited for our car. The flexibility was very helpful too. Much appreciated.

Well located at the head of Baylis, the main street. The staff were wonderful, happy and nothing was a worry. Reception went over the local map with us - we found the school hall for Saturday dance night, we walked the 2 km to Botanical gardens & found the zoo & aviary there. Checking out was a dream

The room we stayed in did not match the room in the website. This however did not detract from the overall stay. Perhaps the property is upgrading the accommodation gradually. Communication with reception via the booking.com app was clear and efficient. We were warmly welcomed and parking was sufficient. The Inn welcomes many regular guests and this is always a good sign. the facilities were closed - most likely due to covid. The staff are friendly and the accommodation is clean and comfortable.

I booked the property because it had a restaurant but on arrival was told the restaurant was closed, as it was a Sunday night. It was a great option for accommodation but check if restaurant will be open if arriving late or if it's a priority for a specific day of the week, which I didn't do.

The location was perfect for a weekend spent in Wagga, right near the main stretch where the shops and restaurants are located. Walking distance to Victory Park.

Honestly the Astor Inn was everything I expected and needed for a weekend away. It was clean, tidy, the staff were great, and in a great location. There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The proximity to Central Wagga. The pub has food and drink if required. It was a very reasonable price.

The car parking spaces require precision driving to get an average sized car between the lines. There was also some renovation work taking place, although I don't hold this against the hotel. It needs to be done, it was just a pity that it was happening during my stay.
