We were upgraded to a single bedroom which was a good size, the staff were helpful we got valet parking which was much easier because we didn’t have carry our bags around the city, they were very fast on taking our car when we arrived and returning the car when we wanted to leave, the room was very quiet considering the hotel is right next to the train tracks, the location Is prefect for access to Southbank

It was a bit hard to find at first when we drove pass due to the vines cover a lot of the sign from the road and there’s not much parking at the front, the pillows were terrible and lumpy, having to step in the bath to have a shower was a bit tricky and could be dangerous stepping out due to there is a bit of a drop, it would be good If there was a step on the outside of the bath

Great open room, mini apartment, kitchenette, lounge room with a big balcony. It was clean and the staff were helpful. Great breakfast in the restaurant, very close and central location to the many Southbank facilities and activities. If you have a car, the valet parking was good and affordable.

Overall it was a great stay. I found for my particular comfort and expectations the bed in our room was small for 2 people (regular double bed) and quite soft, meaning I didn't get much sleep. But otherwise the room package and facilities were great.

Central location, close to QPAC, Southbank etc. Clean and well maintained.

I had specifically requested 2 rooms with 2 twin beds as we were on a girls’ weekend. When we discovered the rooms had king beds, I contacted reception who noted my request on our original booking and said someone would come up to rectify. A staff member then informed us that they would provide a rollaway bed in each room rather than split the king beds. Unfortunately the rollaways were extremely uncomfortable - 1 had a deep soft hole in the mattress, the other was extremely hard and had no top sheet or doona. While the king beds were comfortable for 2 of the guests, the other 2 of us had a poor night’s sleep, which was disappointing.

Sensible things in the room like a wall mirror, microwave, windows that can open slightly. I was also very happy that a family member (living in Bris) could visit me with option of valet day parking

I guess the communication between booking.com and mantra could be better. Eg credit card we booked with wasn’t automatically used for room. This was inconvenient as it was actually my husband who booked with an Amex for points (I don’t have amex, so had to use my own cc at the desk). And confusing email from booking. com - making me think a single beds option wasn’t available (your request is…blah blah) I don’t know, it was just unclear. But these issues are all on booking.com, not the hotel, I would say. Hotel was fab.

The Mantra is in an excellent location for a family holiday in Brisbane. The staff were very friendly, courteous and responded quickly to any request. The apartment on the 7th floor had a wonderful view of the river and Southbank and the proximity to all of the various food outlets was a great bonus. Highly recommend a stay here and will like to return again.

The window in the bedroom needed a good clean. I understand it can be difficult to reach these windows sometimes but it was very hard to see out of the window from the bedroom. Having the kitchen fully stocked of cleaning supplies and cutlery would have helped. The staff were very helpful though when I asked for the missing items.

Staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in earlier as we arrived into Brisbane earlier than anticipated. Fantastic location to access QPAC, South Bank activities and trains. Facilities are very good and the coffee here is of a high standard. Staff helpful with a dental pack on request as I forgot my toothbrush. Nearby Ezymart, cinema, Starbucks and a 7/11 around the corner. Plenty of great dining options in South Brisbane are very accessible also.

No negatives here for this stay, will definitely use this accommodation option again when staying in South Bank.

I loved the location and it was a great price. The room was nice and I loved that it had a little outside area. Bed and pillows were comfy.

Someone hsd left half a sugar in the caddy so cleaners may want to check. I wish ALL hotels would have a FULL length mirror..not having one is my pet hate. People staying generally are going to go to a show or function that requires dressing up while there and especially females want to see the whole outfit ..not just from the waist up. I'm not sure why hotels don't have plugs for the bathroom sinks for people to be able to wash/men shave their face etc?

Georgia at reception was very accommodating to my needs due to a flight schedule issue. She helped resolve an issue to ensure that the rest of my party was able to enter the room without me. The room was very clean. Location is perfect!

The room seems to be a little outdated with some of the gyprock being cracked. The curtains at our room needed to be relooped, so the blackout curtains didnt work as they should. Had a 10cm gap with sun beaming through.

Location was excellent, Staff were super friendly and supportive, facilities were clean and well presented

The hotel had a conference on at the time and had closed the Cafe/restaurant early to accommodate, was instructed to head outside of the hotel for refreshment (Coffee etc), Had issues connecting tot he Hotel WiFi, which inhibited my ability to remotely work and join meetings.

Location to theatres/ cafes/train station.

Very little to complain, other than usual surprise to interstate visitors, lack of dining after 9pm seems systemic- heaven knows how the world will cope during the Olympics- tell them to pack a iconic perhaps…Bacău’s e you can’t get a meal after a Show! Our room lacked a bar frig, and no room service available 24hrs, something we would have liked.
