The room was small but well appointed. The common areas were clean and well kept. The breakfast buffet was enjoyed by all members of our group. Super handy location when attending the Brisbane Convention Centre and walking distance to the southbank restaurant precinct.

Parking was full so we had to unload and park over at the convention centre. There were a few cars parked in the turnaround area which made it tricky to unload all of our items quickly and turn around / get out with impatient taxi drivers beeping at us. The rolling doors between the bathroom and the bedroom was an interesting design touch.

Loved the modern decor and we had an end suite, so it was larger than regular KING. Thank you. All staff were efficient and pleasant. Housekeeping ladies exceptional and friendly esp a French lady that I met. Popcorn machine was cool on weekends...would have like it daily for duration of our stay. Bastille day macaroons and DJ in restaurant playing French music was a lovely touch... tres chic. Restaurant was exceptional food-wise and a few more veg choices perhaps?... (we were vegetarian but didn't struggle too badly) and outdoor pool area with slighted heated pool was great. Hubby went for 2 swims and for July it was tolerable, but I didn't...as was exploring shops n cafes! Liked that you could walk to cafes (away from Southbank) and to interesting neighbouring suburbs like Westend. Very handy being opposite the Convention centre but another block back from Southbank main restaurants. For a girl alone at night, then closer to restaurants would be safer / better but this hotel is much nicer than closer choices!! Others that colleagues stayed in needed to be renovated and were tired and run down due to being a quarantine facility (Mantra). My friend's hotel (Rydges) had an awfully small bathroom where the toilet was squeezed in next to shower and basin.

Bathroom amenities-had to ask daily for either of these items... decafe sachets, tissues, loo paper, second hand towel and face cloth. Plus, the Italian products are lovely but twice I had to be asked for near empty body wash or conditioner.

very comfortable bed and hotel facilities. Great breakfast. Great staff. No complaints with the hotel or its location to Southbank.

the bathroom has almost no privacy from the bedroom. It is impossible to go to the bathroom without your partner hearing (and smelling) all that is going on... There are no walls dividing the bedroom from the bathroom, only some sliding partitions that don't go all the way to the floor, and this is the same for the toilet door. It doesn't go to the ceiling or create a private space. We had to resort to me using the bathroom in the lobby while my wife used the bathroom in our room. While not a deal breaker, some more thought should be put into designs such as this.

everything! the location was awesome - just far enough away from the bustle, but so close to everything. All of the special little touches like the drinks in the foyer, the bowl of fruit on each level plus the newspapers. The breakfast was fantastic and the barista coffee included was a bonus. The cleanliness of the room and the whole property was excellent. The room was funky and modern and the view was beautiful.

We couldn’t park on site and although it was only a very short walk, if it was raining, it would have been very inconvenient. We’re also not used to paying extra for parking, although when I gave reception the parking ticket (to be exchanged for the exit ticket) they gave us 3 free beer/wine/soft drinks at the bar - nice touch.

We stayed 3 nights at the Novotel recently and had a fantastic stay! The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, great views across to the city and excellent amenities (Dyson hairdryer, fridge with plenty of space to store your own food/drinks, coffee machine etc). The hotel is in a quieter part of Southbank but is still walking distance to galleries/cultural precinct/Queen Street Mall and has loads of public transport options nearby (train, buses, e-scooters). Would definitely stay again!

The buffet breakfast wasn't one of the best I'd experienced - cold pikelets billed as 'pancakes' which were on the stale side, berries/mango were frozen in the middle, and options were slightly limited compared to other 4-5 star hotels. Service was also a little slow/patchy.

Clean room and bathroom. Beautiful shower products. Having a Dyson hairdryer was an absolute luxury! Small rooms but good use of space with the way the bathroom is designed and options for privacy - so good for families or friends sharing the room. Love that they have put in place small processes to reduce waste e.g no bin liners and just water cartons. Service was so friendly and professional from all staff - felt like an experience. The GF bar and dining area was beautiful. Once you figure out where the laneway access is - it's an easy walk to Southbank precinct with kids. Also has great outdoor area with trampoline and swing for the kids! Little touches for kids was appreciated e.g popcorn at the lobby, balloon twisting. Husband was pretty happy with the gym facilities too.

Kids were disappointed about the Zooper doopers at the pool. If this is not on offer perhaps remove the sign because the kids get fixated on it.

Compfy beds good city view up on level 8 Staff very friendly Under 16 kids get buffet brecky free

Room was a little small. The parking was over the road which is fine. But u tell customers u pay for the parking when we leave. What u don't say is it's added to your credit card when u leave. Also prices for the buffet brecky would be good to see. Brecky was worth it though :)

Location was good for us,Access off highway was direct,Presentation of premises was excellent.Staff were friendly

On arrival I was disappointed that a thirty two dollaf parking fee was imposed, wasn't expecting that. The buffet breakfast was a big disappointment. The cost was significant and we thought not good value for money,Sone food was not fresh, other food wasn't hot.

Everything was excellent, room, restaurant, location.

I was greeted in Reception by the top of the lady's head. I understand she was finishing up another person's booking, but she still could have made eye contact with me at some point in our conversation as she was the first impression we got of the Hotel. She told me our room was not ready and it could be up to 2pm I asked her where we could park, and she directed me to the car park. On returning from the car park, I went back to Reception, the second lady however was much more present in the moment and asked me if I had actually been booked in, but I told her I had no idea what the first lady had done. She took my number and said she would call me once the room was ready (which she did).

I just love this hotel. Beautifully appointed an decorated, the bar and dining area is amazing with great food. The gym and pool is perfect and most importantly our room is already perfect when we stay, the beds are super soft and comfortable and the view is always worth paying the upgrade for. The staff are great and I really appreciated my welcome card and wine for the weekend I was staying for, so thoughtful

Nothing it’s perfect but I’d love a sauna :P
