The check-in process was quick and simple. The room was comfortable and clean. The toilets were also well maintained and clean with sufficient quantity of toiletries. and sufficient towels. The location is great, bang on the beach front and all the attractions are within walkable distance. The sea view from the room in which we stayed is excellent. The breakfast spread was good and the timings were well suited for tourists. The room service is also good. The staff were polite and helpful and assisted in getting Taxi for airport drop.

The toilet was small compared to the room size and the glass partition of the bath tub could not contain the water splash from the shower and made the toilet surface wet. Drinking water was provided only in the reception area and had to go down to collect the same.

Beds are super comfy, staff At reception and cleaning staff are very friendly and welcoming. special mention to the tour desk staff member who liked to talk to my daughter about her rock band t-shirts!

pool, spa and pool area are dated and needs updating.

Loved the welcome cookie on check-in - the rooms were comfortable and the smart tv was a nice addition. The beds were excellent, as were the pillows. The wifi was strong throughout our stay. The resort itself was clean and comfortable. Parking is extremely reasonable at only $10 a night (excellent value when compared with what other hotels are charging). Really enjoyed our stay. This is our second visit to DoubleTree in Cairns and would absolutely return again.

Extra towels and soaps etc would have been nice (given we were three adults sharing the room). I feel that this is important for guests to have adequate amenities to support their stay. Also, the water in the lobby needed refreshing throughout our stay... having staff address this would have been a nice touch.

The breakfast had ample food and selections even though it was fairly basic. The staff were wonderful and the tables spaced out and comfy. Close walking distance to everything. Lovely views from the balcony over the ocean and Esplanade. The towels in the room were 10/10. Big and fluffy and luxurious.

The fruit was very average at breakfast and the coffee wasn’t very nice. Room service finished at 8.30pm but it doesn’t state this on the webpage. The curtains don’t actually meet which means the room is very bright in the morning.

Great location, fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, lovely linen and a nice big desk area. A staffed tour desk on site was a big help. Also the vending machines in the lobby came in handy for a late night snack

The bathrooms are well appointed but very small. The shower over bath could be a problem for the elderly or people with mobility issues as it is a deep bath so quite a step. I’m 5 ft 10 and it is knee height. I don’t want to be too harsh as Cairns, like the rest of the world, is still getting back to normal after Covid but the attention to detail of the cleaning around the hotel was not up to Hilton standard. The designated smoking wasn’t cleaned once during our 5 night stay. There was quite a bit of dust in areas I felt should have been cleaned

The location is fantastic, close to everything on the Esplanade and the staff were very attentive. The tour desk staff were very helpful. The room was great obviously not long since a refresh. Would definitely stay at the Double Tree Hilton again. The option to decline daily room servicing (when you wanted to) for a refreshment at the Vine bar was a great initiative which we took advantage of.

Nothing, we had a great stay in a great location.

Location, compensatory drinks for inconvenience of renovations, staff regularly checking in that our expectations are being met & acknowledging our concern, however not providing immediate rectification of some issues. The magnificent Staff throughout the hotel!!! Providing umbrellas during inclement weather.

South lift call button was not registering for two out of three days of our stay, despite the hotel engaging a lift company. Shower plug hole not draining efficiently. Bed was not made with a top sheet-could be a regional decision owing to level of humidity. Safe batteries were flat on our second last day without immediate rectification-there may be a reason for this but unsure. Existing terracotta tiling could do with non-slip treatment.

The service at this hotel was really great, all the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to be accommodating. The buffet breakfast was really the perfect start to any day and the range of food provided was exceptional. The pool area was really well maintained with plenty of pool floaties and toys for the family to enjoy and lots of sunbathing chairs, umbrellas and clean towels. The bi-weekly barramundi feeding was a fun bonus.

If I had to choose something I would love for the breakfast buffet to be open a little later than 9.30 but this is me really scraping the barrel for some feedback!

The rooms are really nice and i got a view even though i didnt book it! The staff are exrremely helpfull and nice. I loved the vine room. The food there was really yum! The Pool is really big as well. It is such a beautiful topical feeling hotel. Would reccomend! In room dining was a nice touch.

The breakfast was a little small for my taste. But i am sure for 9/10 people would be happy with it. Toast, fruit, spreads, hashbrowns etc!

Great location, albeit road noise late at night (drunken revellers ... indigenous, mainly) but views of a morning and in the early evening - to die for! Excellent room, amenities, satisfactory bathroom

Pond in atrium with barramundi... please, release them, that is no environment for a proud, majestic large fish, our native treasure of the north... I really didn't like seeing that situation at all. Barras should not be kept in that sort of confined pond
