This property is at the northern end of Cairns, so it is out of the 'hustle and bustle' of Cairns - which we loved. But - it is still walking distance to bars and restaurants. Parking on level 1 is easy - and getting your luggage from the car to your room is easy. The room is spacious and comfortable - great balcony overlooking the ocean and the park. Pool is great. They are doing some renovations to the property when we visited - Feb 24 - but it will look great when finished.

Nothing - loved everything about the property

Nice spacious apartment with balcony overlooking the water. Location was perfect as we were only 10 minutes walking from the night markets. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked 4 tours/trips from the reception with no problems. Really good that they have a guest laundry especially if you have an extended trip.

Sometimes the cleaners would forget to re-stock the coffee/tea supplies. Not too much of a problem has we just went down to the reception and stocked up again. Reception was more than helpful with our request.

The rooms were spacious for the price, as well as the balcony which for our booking would have fit 5 people comfortably. The location was excellent if you like being in a quieter area but in walking distance to the city centre. You can cross the road and walk along the esplanade straight away. Beautiful views as well.

The bathroom was tiny and would have been hard to shut the door as you shut it, it passes the shower, so would be difficult if you were a big person (size 20 or larger). The apartment was not very soundproof either. Could clearly hear the bathroom sounds, as well as people in the hallway.

Situated on the esplanade right opposite the landmark Muddy’s cafe - easy access to the restaurants and shops . good property and cabs were available very easily.

Absolutely loved everything about the Cairns Plaza. It's close to dining and markets. It's opposite the beach and an amazing children's playground. The staff are so friendly and eager to help if you need it. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a microwave and toaster opposite reception if required and a fridge and kettle in the rooms. Towels are provided for the pool, so no need to bring extras. Do bring shampoo and conditioner though because the combined one they have isn't great.

Just the shampoo/conditioner combo that's in the showers. That's honestly it. Loved everything else! Oh actually... the power would cut out sometimes and one lamp didn't work. I'm sure that would have been fixed if I mentioned it though because the staff are so amazing.

We really enjoyed staying so close to the beach. The staff were really helpful and friendly, providing us with a changing room / toilet &shower area when we arrived in the early morning, before our room was ready to check in. We also could store our luggage on check out day. The room was a very good size and had a super comfy bed.

The hotel were in the middle of renovating the pool area when we stayed. The pool was still available for use but could only be accessed via stairs on the 1st floor. The pool area was a little chalky due to the renovations. We were still able to swim without any problems.

Loved having 2 queen beds which were super comfortable in our twin room. got a great nights sleep. Reception staff were great, in letting us know that pavement works across the hotel's front entry may be an issue when we wanted to leave. As it turned out we didnt have an issue. Also staff were very friendly and for our short stay provided great service. Location was great too, not right in the busy end of the tourist strip, but still central and water front.

Being very picky and not really a problem but shower water did spread out into the bathroom floor.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked for the night we were flying so we could go from the airport at 6am and check into our room immediately. We were so grateful that the room was all ready for us, with the sofa bed made up and an extra rollaway all ready for us to slip into bed and enjoy a comfortable, much needed sleep in a nice dark room thanks to the blockout blinds. We could then get up and stroll across the road to Muddy’s Cafe, one of our favourite places in Cairns and the enjoy a leisurely stroll along the foreshore to the lagoon. It was Perfect!

I booked this hotel due to the location and competitive price. We stayed only one night and checked in late. The guy at the front desk was great. He was really friendly and welcoming and full of local knowledge. We were really impressed. The room was basic but spotlessly clean with a nice balcony. We were able to store our luggage for a couple of hours. We had breakfast across the road at Muddy's which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

The only downside was a 10am check out. And the roadworks near the hotel but thats not the hotels fault!

The location was excellent- a two minute walk to the seafront. We had a nice balcony with a table and chairs and we could view the sea from there. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well serviced. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was building work going on, which meant we could not use the pool and we had to use a side entrance to access the hotel. The rooms could have better insulation for sound- we could hear people talking in the corridor.
