Continental breakfast was good. Location is fantastic - walking distance to zoo and botanical gardens, and city if you're reasonably fit. Circle route bus stops just across the road. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. This not five star accommodation, however it is fantastic value if, like us, you just want a comfy bed, clean room, and tea and coffee making facilities,

Some people may not like that the rooms are not serviced daily, but we were fine with this. Fresh towels etc were availale at the front desk. It is on a flight path, but this was not particularly noisy and we were able to sleep soundly.

I have stayed at the Princes Lodge Motel many time. Normally under my own preferred arrangements. So I am very aware of all the facilities and find Location is ideal for access to City of Adelaide due to a frequent free bus service the City Loop. Having Continental Breakfast included is a good start to the day. We have always found the rooms to be comfortable, but people should realise that it is an old building and does not have the UP Market facitities of 5 star Hotel.

Sorry, that does not apply to my stay. I would like to add that it was June not Dave who stayed at the Motel. The staff at Princes Lodge know me and would be surprised you are asking Dave for his review.

Ive been coming here for years Nothing has changed just under new managment is the only one I like the fact the new owners have kept everything as it was and not changed anything its still the same princess lodge motel i have always known and loved

The only thing is that the room rates are alot higher under the new managment Its no longer a budget motel I think considering that the building is old and needs repair and many of the facillities are out dated i think the room rates should be lower I used to pay $ 80 per night for a standard double room so for 2 nights thats $ 160 Nowdays i pay $ 125 per night so for 2 nights thats $ 250 So thats a big price increase Thats the only thing i dont like Other than that im happy with the princess lodge

It's a cute, quiet little lodge in a historic building. The interior of the building is beautiful, although my room was accessed from the outside. After hours check in was easy with clear instructions sent to me via Booking. My room looked onto the garden though which was nice. Bed was comfy, everything was clean and there was a desk for working. The place feels safe and quiet. There is a free continental breakfast with cereals, toast, juice and coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The shower pressure wasn't fantastic; not the worst ever, but not great

It was nice to have breakfast available each morning. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my request to leave my luggage, when needed, and even came out to my room in the stables to help me figure out how American I was (I didn't turn on the switch for the a/c! LOL).

I stayed under 2 different reservations. The first one I was out in the stables. The room was small, but serviceable. The second time was on the 2nd floor. The room was lovely, but I was not a fan of the stairs since I'm getting older!

Fantastic motel at a very reasonable price. Lots of atmosphere. Furniture a bit dated, which doesn’t matter because the entire house is old. Possibilities for guest to their laundry at a reasonable price. Great common areas: lounge, terraces, a grill in the garden.

Our bathroom was exterior to the room, OK for us but not everyone. There are rooms with attached bathrooms too. Breakfast is very simple, but given the price there’s nothing to argue about with that.

Very good value for the price. A grand old home in an excellent location in North Adelaide - in streets of heritage buildings, and walking distance to the city, Rundell Mall, the market and China Town. Good breakfast in the dining room.

Perhaps for some, this hotel may need a bit of an update, but we loved the 'olde world' feel.

This is in an historic building located on the edge of the park in a quiet area with a lot of beautiful old houses, but close to a lot of good restaurants (O'Connell Street). It's about a 20 min walk from the edge of the CBD, or there's a bus option. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a sink, mini-fridge, kettle and desk. The room also had a heater/air conditioner. It was convenient to have breakfast provided. Staff were very helpful and responsive and everything was kept quite clean. I felt safe walking around the area on my own, even at night.

Overall, I was happy with my choice and would stay here again. However, a few observations: the room had limited natural daylight, and there is some noise from airplanes coming in to land in Adelaide. The breakfast was fine, but pretty basic (toast and weetbix). It is an older building, which comes with charms, but also the expected minor disadvantages, and generally slightly less comfortable furnishings.

The location was convenient, central to many amenities and safe. There is a relaxed feeling at the Princes Lodge Motel. I enjoyed the historic setting and the continental breakfast was ample and tasty.

I had no complaints. I could imagine that for people who are unable to walk upstairs, or have trouble carrying their luggage, that this accommodation may present challenges. I don't think that they have a lift in the building, but I'm not sure.

It was very clean,I little out of town, other than that it was good.

I was uncomfortable in the bed bed clothes two heavy. Bed uncomfortable especially having to Squeese around the bottom of the bed to get into it. As both my husband and I are 81 years old, it would have been nice to have an easy access to get in and out of bed. Perhaps Staff may be able to ask people if this type of room is suitable for them. Otherwise We had a lovely stay and staff were very nice and friendly. ThankYou.
