Superb location right near Bendigo Art Gallery and city centre. Comfortable bed. Good shower with decent rosette/pressure. Room not cramped, comfortable. Biggest plus is location. Short walk to Bendigo Art Gallery, great restaurants and shops, parklands nearby, and very close to CBD (easy walk). Free car parking right outside your unit. Two storeys, no lift. Very friendly staff, and very easy and super-quick check-in via Bookings.com. Affordable, and we obtained great standby rate on Bookings.com. Free off-street parking right outside your room.

No elevator. But fine if you just ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility problems.

Fantastic location in View St, close to local amenities but also the wonderful Bendigo Art Gallery and the Ulumbarra Theatre. Dedicated car parking, easy to follow instructions sent by SMS for contactless check in. Quiet room with small table, sofa bed, many hangers for storage, bar fridge, toaster and kettle. Bathroom generously sized and good cupboard space to store toiletries. Lovely thick towels too! Didn't use the climate control. I didn't need housekeeping for a short trip so I left the do not disturb sign. You can pre-order breakfast for the following morning, although I didn't try it as I had other brunch plans in town! It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the train station for those who are commuting (direct route) and felt safe with my late night arrival. Didn't use the gym. Modest looking from the outside, but had everything I needed on the inside.

Nothing - had a wonderful visit.

The best thing about the property was the location. It was an easy walk to all the venues we visited for the Bendigo Blues and Roots festival that weekend. Despite being very central it was quiet and peaceful and we slept well on a very comfortable bed. The shower was hot and had excellent pressure. We would definitely stay there again if we travelled to Bendigo.

Although car parking was provided our allocated spot had been taken by someone else and they stayed there the entire time we were there. We were then allocated another spot and that was taken by someone else again. I know it’s not the fault of Barclay On View that people do this but it was still frustrating that they seemed to be unable to get the people to move to their allocated park. In the end we parked up the back in a spot not near the rooms. Part of the issue seemed the that reception has limited hours and even though there was a number to call when reception was closed you could only leave a message. If it was open 9-5 the parking situation could be more easily dealt with.

The room was lovely; the contactless check in was great and easy to follow. The decor was modern and bright, everything was clean and fresh! I felt safe as a solo traveller, the location was perfect, right across from The art gallery and parks.

The only issue I had was with the shower head. it had a crack in it and was spraying madly BUT they had provided a shower cap so it wasn't a big deal and I let them so I'm sure it will be fixed.

The location is good. Walking distance to the Bendigo Art Gallery, Capital Theatre and a very good Italian Restaurant down the street. NB. you must book. Getting a coffee in Bendigo in the afternoon is a challenge. Some of the coffee shops open early and close early, like 1.30pm. Most others are closed by 3pm. Then other shops start closing by 4pm.

Breakfast in the dining room was a poor option. The room was cold, and uninviting.

Close to central Bendigo and an allotted parking space close to my room. There was a contactless check in and check out which was very convenient where instructions were sent out prior to my arrival. I was quite impressed that there was an electric blanket on top of the extra blankets if it got too cold. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect for my preferences.

At times it was a bit loud hearing others in neighbouring rooms, but I am a very light sleeper.

Loved it’s central location and the facilities available. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure they accommodated my request to have a room close to friends who were also staying. They also helped me after reception office hours when my code did not work. The room was clean and comfortable and was definitely value for money. I would most definitely stay again.

No complaints

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment, located about 2kms from the main hotel. Beds were comfortable, linen was clean, everything worked well (Toaster, Kettle etc.). It had individual air conditioners in each room. Excellent WiFi and the location was brilliant - a 300 metre walk to Woolworths and the local Pub. Very convenient.

A lot of things were dusty - all the lamps, the mirror straps in the downstairs toilet and side tables. There's a front loading washing machine BUT no dryer! Very disappointing, as had wanted to get some washing done and it was raining, so couldn't hang on the line. No screen on the door to the outside entertaining area, so couldn't leave open due to flies and mosquitos. The price was a bit high for 2 people but 3 couples sharing, would make it more economical.

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable including good sheets. Also appreciated were the good quality biscuits to have with a coffee when we arrived. The no-contact check in worked well.

Only real drawback was that the motel is very close to an ugly multi-story block. This, along with the small size of the room, left it feeling a bit cell-like. Also the noisy air con units from the block next door meant doors and windows to our room needed to be kept shut to block out that noise.

It’s a very short walk to the CBD…probably one of the closest properties to the CBD. Everything was contactless. Received a message in time to commence our stay with details on where to find our room and the access code to use. Everything worked for us.

Our room was quite small for a family of 4, but no real complaints from us, it was comfortable enough.
