I am so happy with my stay at bayside. I started by booking 5 night but ended up staying a month. As a single traveler it is a perfect place to meet new people and friends. There is a movie area and a pool area so people gather there. Kitchen is nice! And if you need some space alone there is couches located throughout the three floors. The location is perfect. Tram and buss just outside and a 20 min walk to the beach. Perfect!

i liked the warm vibes of the hostel. the decor was very nice and beddings felt like i was in a hotel. private bathroom for women, pool table, netflix tv, modern kitchen, nice location, friendly staff, free breakfast that you could eat with your own schedules.

sometimes bathrooms and kitchen ares got dirty. i had a messy roommate and our room wasn’t properly cleaned during my stay because of that. they came to vacuum it once but it looked like excactly the same as before vacuuming. lower beds were on the floor and the mattress was too thin, you could feel the floor trough that.

Bayside house is a truly wonderful hostel! The kitchen is a very large space with all the cooking facilities you need and very large fridges to store your stuff. The communal area comes with a pool table and lots of quirky decorations including a very large TV and comfy bean bags/seating areas. Theres lots of toilets and showers so you're never waiting around and all very clean. Tim the manager is a fantastic host and is very accommodating, ensuring you have all you need! He's responsive and always at hand. The private rooms are a nice size, very clean and all come with TV's and a comfy bed. It's a super convenient location with the bustle of St Kilda just around the corner, convenient parking, and access to tram and bus stops just over the road. Tim definitely makes the experience and the hostel is recommended. We will definitely return here before leaving our stay in Melbourne!! Shanice and Jareth ☺️
