Hotel was good. I thought the contact with the hotel should have been done a few days before our arrival. They contacted us on the day of travel which most of the time in the air we had no Internet. They give us a dead line to pay a security deposit or they would cancel our booking. I made the payment late so had no idea if my booking was OK or not. They close at 9 we didn't arrive until after 10 we stood outside not knowing if we were going to get in or have to sleep outside. Eventually a girl came and checked us in. Contact could have been better and avoided this. Over all its in a perfect location.

We stayed here for an event at the Palais and it was so easy to get to and from the venue with the hotel being only a block away. We loved being able to book our parking ahead and not have to worry about there being space when we arrive. Parking was also very secure behind a fenced and locked area. Rooms were clean and neat. The room we had looked like it had been renovated in the past couple of years and basically new carpet. Fantastic location at a great price. We would highly recommend to anyone attending events at the Palais or surrounding areas.

The room we had was street facing which did mean some road noise at night. Pillows were a little lacklustre which didn't bother us for a single night but if we were there for longer may have become an issue.

From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond for us. We flew in from interstate quite early and they stored our luggage for us so we could explore before check-in. They had our room prepared quickly and we were able to check-in 2.5hrs early to. Luna Park was only a couple minutes walk down the road and we just loved how everything was right there when we walked out of the hotel. We were going on a cruise and wanted to stay again after we disembarked so we cancelled other accommodation we had to come back to stay here. We got off our ship early and came straight to the hotel where we were able to wait in a comfortable shared lounge, or again leave our luggage safely and explore more of St Kilda until check-in. Again they amazingly had our room prepared well ahead of check-in so we could refresh. The beds were very comfortable and the room we stayed in was a good size. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in St Kilda

Beds and pillows were amazing comfort! Location was perfect for us to get to The Palais Theatre. Comfortable room. The staff were so helpful, polite and respectful. We will definitely return if we need to travel to the area. Good value for the cost of the room.

Could not get Wi Fi after using the given code. Knives and forks would be good in the room for when we bring our own food in. And ice in the freezer would be useful. The cost of using the car park is a lot at $25 per night, but good to have a safe space for the car. There was a lot of noise from other guests arriving back about 2am on the first night which was disturbing.

Perfect location, very clean. Loved the louvre windows letting in lots of light, and fresh air. TV was nice and big! Was good to have all those shelves behind the bathroom mirror

Frig in studio apartment could have been a little larger. We cooked most nights, so had to shop each day, as frig capacity was limited. Couldn't place milk in the door shelf as it was broken. Also the ironing board was broken. Neither of these are a big deal. We had a great stay, thanks!

We chose this hotel for being within walking distance of the Palais Theatre (5 min walk). Staff were very efficient on checking in. The room was spacious enough, nice comfortable king size bed, very clean. Unlike often the mini bar fridge makes a noise through the night you can hear, there was no motor noise from this one. Great block out curtains. We actually were surprised how late we slept in.

The split system made a noise at night, but we ended up turning it off anyway and opened a window for fresh air which was great (even on a chilly Melbourne winter’s night, having fresh air was a positive). A small desk lamp on the bench would be useful rather than having to turn on the room lights to use the kettle to make coffee after dark.

Great location very close to the Palais Theatre and Ackland street where you can find a multitude of eateries. Close to the beach too, lovely! There's a fabulous community garden just around the corner which is wonderful to visit. Comfy bed, good shower.

Our cups and teaspoons were dirty so I didn't get to have a drink when we got back after 11pm. As the place is not staffed after 10pm I was not able to obtain any clean ones so no cuppa at all for the duration of our stay. I forgot to mention this upon check out but that was pretty disappointing to have cups that were not cleaned properly. This is the only grumble though.

Really good location! Everything was clean and tidy and exactly what we needed.

My only suggestions are, some hooks in the bathrooms for towels as the towel rail wasn’t big enough for 1 towels let alone 2, so just somewhere to hang them would be good! And a mattress topper would also make a difference but the bed was still fine, just could have done with the little bit of added comfort.

We have stayed here many times. Very convenient location for concerts at the Palais. All rooms have been clean and beds comfortable. This time we enjoyed a larger room with a balcony on the fourth floor of the main building and it was great. Staff are friendly. There was clear communication about entry on late returns after an evening out when the front desk is not staffed. Parking is available and secure.

We have enjoyed every stay but when booking, patrons need to be aware that room sizes, location and features differ. There is a side wing with smaller rooms and no views, but the rooms are still comfortable. Renovations have been done but some aspects of bathrooms are older... again, they are clean.

Great location in St. Kilda. We have stayed here before, as it is ideally placed for the Memo Music Hall or The Palais Theatre. A plain, clean and good value hotel with the advantage of off-street parking. Staff is efficient, and our room was a good size. Another chair would have been nice, given the size of the desk space.

Our room was at the rear and pretty quiet, but you can hear the trams rounding the corner on Carlisle St. until they stop till the early morning.
